    Kudos for taking on the challenge, your DIY repair and creation is truly an inspiration for me (just like with all your videos!) Thanks for taking the time to share (and edit video !) !

    My lord -- wow. Your hand shaped light-wind wing-foil board video knocked my socks off, and this one is a master class in repairing a foil board right. Bravo.

    Toujours au top !
    Je pensais pas que le sillica se poncait aussi facilement.

      moins facilement que les microballons, mais avec le "mesh sanding disc" ca passe bien.

    Excellent ! Would it be possible to put the list of material in the description of the video ? Thanks

    Nice work 👌 Question: Would water sticking to the mast after sanding be better for laminar flow?

    • @matshape
      @matshape  Рік тому +1

      yes, it probably does, even if at our speeds the impact might not be huge, in this case, it's also to smooth out the surface after the last full coat of spray to remove the tiny droplets pattern and get a consistent surface.

    How did you manage the colour match with the paint there? You suddenly managed to darken the paint to match.. was it a better matched colour in a different can?

      with some luck: last board of same color I fixed, the paint I picked was too dark, the new paint I picked for this one was too light, so I ended up going alternating dusting of both until the balance was kind of right :)

    What sander and disc are you using? Looks to do a good job at removing material on curves

    • @matshape
      @matshape  Рік тому

      not sure how the sander is called, but it just rotates, not random orbital. But the disc is what makes the difference, they are nets, they stay clean and sharp much longer

    t'utilise quoi comme top coat pour le mat ? belle repa

      C’est un vernis acrylic, un peu plus cher que rustoleum, mais le spray de celui la est bien plus propre.

    je viens d'acheter une board et j'ai une réparation du style, question bête mais quand tu lamine à plat le patch du début c'est quoi le film transparent que tu utilise ?

      une chute de vacuum bag, juste pour ne pas mettre de la résine partout :)
