I worked at Kay's in the late 80's with Tom Jesse, Tracy Jesse and all of those nuts!! I bussed and washed dishes. Good times for sure. Never missed a parade!!
Kay's Kitchen used to have people lined up for fish dinners on Fridays during lent. Who remembers that? I'm 37, so this would have been in the early 80s. I remember that big "V" over the door, but I think the K A Y ' S K I T C H E N letters were gone by then.
and if you look carefully, you might see a glimpse of the greenhouses. they are still around also, but the 2 houses are long gone (gone since the mid 70s and now is the church parking lot).
