Iloilo City is a benchmark for all Philippine cities. It is clean, green, orderly, disciplined, beautiful, cosmopolitan, busy but not so frantic, laid-back but not boring, progressive but not chaotic... Simply beautiful. That's why more and more people, would like to retire there.
Iloilo cannot be a benchmark per se because it's not a city of diverse ethnicity, hence so easy to manage and made orderly but not easy to emulate by others.
Iloilo city is modern and at same time giving you a laidback feelings. Its truly a city "where the present is always a past" as their tagline. Its very relax, fulfilling and surely a good place to unwind.. one thing i like about its people, Ilonggos are not the type of people who go with the hype flow. They're secured and not "sunod sa uso" kind of people.
@@mplupdates9801 We know that but you don't nred to return a compliment with an insult. I don't mean to sound disparaging but it's really sa poor areas ang maraming naglilitter or not as disciplined when it comes to littering. Maybe they don't have proper waste disposal at yun na ang kinagisnan nila. And most of them actually came from provinces in search of a good life but probably did not and got stuck and could not get out of their situation.
We have some litterers here also, but it' not really bad compare to Manila. If we don't protect our environment, we'll have so many to loose, especially the tourists.
Iloilo has it’s own charm. Happy to see you guys explored Iloilo. Someone from Manila, I can say Iloilo is like Manila but in a slower-relaxed pace which is cool
I wish I could agree with you. Manila is dirty, some parts are filthy, some are ultra clean, but for the most part full of litter. I wish Manilenos, or those that live there, will learn to love their city and clean up after themselves, instead of throwing garbage anywhere they please.
@@timothyurabe8303 I was talking more on the similarities when it comes to their vibes and not about the quantity of their garbage. Also, I am speaking about Manila per se and not Metro Manila. But yeah, sadly some (NOT ALL) people just throw garbage everywhere and I am so glad that the current LGU is determined in trying to clean up starting in the frequency of cleaning and collecting the city garbage - this is a huge factor but I won’t go on to details. Believe me, Manila is way cleaner than before this current LGU started.
@@rose_clips I kinda agree.....The Philippines could be a fantastic destination (and example) if it could bring its littering problem under control. Iloilo City is the example to the entire country that it can be done, so why not The Philippines be the example to the entire World........turn the problem around and export the solution to the World. Now there's a project for you/Iloilo City to invest in!
Another "must see" city has been added to my list thanks to you! Haven't really heard or seen much about Iloilo so I'm glad I came across this. Cheers!
Iloilo is more of a Lifestyle City than a touristy one. A lot of their attractions promote healthy living and are more to attract expats to live there if they're into that. Even then it's the chill vibe that's in the city atmosphere that make people love it. Also can't help but praise the garbage collection. Unlike a lot of other cities in the Philippines, Iloilo has a lot of garbage bins scattered all over the city as part of the effort to keep the streets clean.
I'm actually glad I chose Iloilo as the place to pursue my career. The tall building near injap is where I work. We're on the 19th floor so the view at night is wonderful.
You guys are the kind of vloggers that fun people would want to hangout with. Honestly! I can't seem to pinpoint it but when compared to other vloggers roaming the Philippines, your fun/positive vibe shows in your videos.
I agree, I don't tend to like vloggers much as most are very pretentious......but not D&T, they are down to earth; bit of sight seeing, some food and not shy to have a good few beverages. I could imagine myself chilling with D&T, which is the vibe you want when watching such vlogs!

Welcome to our city Iloilo. I have been coming here 8 years and now things are getting better to travel we are going out and about again. Try Roxas city not far from Iloilo is Bucari Leon. It's worth a climb to the top of the forest surrounded hills for the view.

Thanks so much Sir Matt and Molly for visiting our beloved city of Love ❤️ ILOILO CITY Keep Safe and Enjoy 😊 I’m a bit envy of you Guys that you are there enjoying good things in our island while I’m here far away from home✈️watching you from Singapore 🇸🇬
Yes, everything definitely revolves around food in Iloilo, Usually when you visit someone's home there 9 out of 10, the first thing they would ask is if you already had a meal or not 😆
Kudos! I think you guys have the best vlog about Iloilo. You have shown the old and new Iloilo and have captured its allure and nostalgia. Glad that you visited Calle Real, La Paz market and Esplanade. You get the real feel and charm of Iloilo. If you get the chance to visit Lapaz Market again, try the Madge Cafe. It is one of the oldest and original "kapihan" (cafe/coffee place) in Iloilo and makes great local coffee.
if batchoy was your aim you shoulda gone for DEco's originals, its also in the same district which is lapaz and Decos is the prime spot for batchoys for exploring travellers, anyways i really love this video. very well made and you guys seem to be enjoying not just yourselves, but my beloved city as well. nice!
Trivia: the Ilonggos are a very very proud people. The women love to dress up and love their jewellery. Above all, the men are great warriors. Very reliable when sent to war zones! Very effective and smart soldiers. Enjoy the place!
Wow Iloilo is nice! They’re really developing the newer section of the city, and taking advantage of the riverfront. How were the Brandy “coffee” cocktails ? Kind of looks like a Bailey’s type concoction.
Glad you visited Iloilo! I'll tell you, it's a lovely place to stay. In fact, I'm living in Iloilo province and the city is not that far from my hometown it's just about 16 kms away from our town I guess? Iloilo City has improved a lot since I moved here way back 2006. I'm basically from Luzon, in the province of Laguna and we settled here already for years. There are still projects under development especially in boosting the tourism. How's Iloilo after all kuya and ate? I hope you enjoyed your stay here as well. PALANGGAON KA GID NAMUN!
You did a great tour. I love that you're all familiar with little backstories of the places you visit here in Iloilo, It's quite refreshing to see from a foreigner vlogger in Iloilo like this. They all act like fish out of water, then go to some few amount of places and didn;t even go to Esplanade, while you guys did visit enough of the city for just a day. I know there's a lot of places to visit here in Iloilo city but the basic places you've visited for 1 day is enough and jam-packed. Love it. Here are the "basic" and essential places to visit here in Iloilo city that you've also did in this video ✅strolling on Diversion Road wide sidewalks ✅eating Lapaz Batchoy ✅sightseeing at City Proper streets (Calle Real) ✅exploring Iloilo Business Park (Megaworld) ✅Iloilo Esplanade (most important) for tourists who want to visit Iloilo city, you should go to these things if you have more time: -Seafood eating at either Breakthrough Restaurant or Tatoy's Manokan at Villa Main Branch (don't go to other branches if possible) -Nightlife (anywhere) -Churches (especially Jaro Cathedral and Molo Church) -Plazas (Plaza Libertad and Molo Plaza) -Kap ising's Pancit Molo -Madge Cafe in Lapaz Market -more Esplanades to stroll (appreciation to Iloilo River) -you should support Local businesses. -and many more
Thanks for visiting our city, the city of love I hope you have a great and enjoyable traveling here. Please explore the whole province of Iloilo, have fun guys!👍😍😍😍😍😍
Did you know that Iloilo City is the City of Love? ❤️ I knew it you will visit my hometown. I miss Batchoy. Looking forward of more contents of ciudad de Iloilo.
Convince me! Why would I want to stay or live In Iloilo 🆚 Cebu. Is Iloilo a more affordable place to live as a expat? Also is there a lot of Nature and things to do around Iloilo?.
@@christopherhouse7937 Hi I've never been to Cebu so I cant really compare the cost of living. Iloilo though is an affordable place to live. We have mountains of Leon to explore the Islands of Guimaras and Isla Gigantes for the beaches.. People are very friendly and warm. You can also explore the nearby provinces of Iloilo and you can travel to Boracay by land. Food is also delicious. We have a lot of seafoods. But if you are looking for adventure Cebu is the right place to be.
Hope you enjoyed your stay there. Thanks for visiting my hometown. By the way, Jaro is pronounced as Haro. The J becomes an H due to Spanish influence.

@@rodericksumaway5441 I am sorry, but your comment has nothing to do with this travel vlog. This isn't a perfect platform for preaching. Just my two cents!

ahh! you make biscocho sound so fancy! Ahh miss Iloilo city-haven't been back since the pandemic, hoping to visit sooon! Enjoy your time!
Yes, everything definitely revolves around food in Iloilo,
Usually when you visit someone's home there 9 out of 10, the first thing they would ask is if you already had a meal or not 😆
Thanks so much!
Welcome to Iloilo City! Glad you guys decided to drop by
Thank you!
if batchoy was your aim you shoulda gone for DEco's originals, its also in the same district which is lapaz and Decos is the prime spot for batchoys for exploring travellers, anyways i really love this video. very well made and you guys seem to be enjoying not just yourselves, but my beloved city as well. nice!
Good to know!
Trivia: the Ilonggos are a very very proud people. The women love to dress up and love their jewellery. Above all, the men are great warriors. Very reliable when sent to war zones! Very effective and smart soldiers. Enjoy the place!
Thanks for watching!
so That's why my grandma and her friends loves to wear jewelries.
❤️
Wow! Enjoy your stay in our City of Love. You will be thrilled of our Dinagyang Festival also so come this January 2023 hopefully.
Wow 2 days soon ill be seeing my City of Love!!..Iloilo City...Watching here in Abu Dhabi UAE.
Wow!! amazing most welcomed here in our hometown... Foreign tourists without a tour guide but visited the different tourist spots
Love it.
Here are the "basic" and essential places to visit here in Iloilo city that you've also did in this video
✅strolling on Diversion Road wide sidewalks
✅eating Lapaz Batchoy
✅sightseeing at City Proper streets (Calle Real)
✅exploring Iloilo Business Park (Megaworld)
✅Iloilo Esplanade (most important)
for tourists who want to visit Iloilo city, you should go to these things if you have more time:
-Seafood eating at either Breakthrough Restaurant or Tatoy's Manokan at Villa Main Branch (don't go to other branches if possible)
-Nightlife (anywhere)
-Churches (especially Jaro Cathedral and Molo Church)
-Plazas (Plaza Libertad and Molo Plaza)
-Kap ising's Pancit Molo
-Madge Cafe in Lapaz Market
-more Esplanades to stroll (appreciation to Iloilo River)
-you should support Local businesses.
-and many more
Glad to watch another tourist appreciate our beautiful place❤️ thank you for visiting iloilo ❤️😊 proud ilonggo here
The best thing in Iloilo is that everything is cheap but classy, and it's very clean for a high urbanized city.
Thank you for watching
food haven of the phils. ❤️
Great job here guys! Very informative great drone shots too! Surprised w/ Iloilo's many developments! Love Brandy made me crave for it!!

I am so glad you've been into my birth city the City of Love.Hope you'll enjoy your stay, there is a lot more to explore in Iloilo. Have fun
I want to visit iloilo
@@christopherhouse7937 Hi I've never been to Cebu so I cant really compare the cost of living. Iloilo though is an affordable place to live. We have mountains of Leon to explore the Islands of Guimaras and Isla Gigantes for the beaches.. People are very friendly and warm. You can also explore the nearby provinces of Iloilo and you can travel to Boracay by land. Food is also delicious. We have a lot of seafoods. But if you are looking for adventure Cebu is the right place to be.
@@paulocortez6727 you should 🙂
@@yajm.8147 Thank You. 😊✌🏻
Nice of you two to drop by our province and the city. Very well appreciated.
Iloilo City is actually known as the biking capital of Philippines because of the biking trend. Every weekend you’d see hundreds of bikers everywhere.
Born and raised here in Iloilo in the 90s but never knew we have the Brandy Museum. Really ironic since I'm working a few blocks away from it.
Hope you enjoyed your stay there. Thanks for visiting my hometown. By the way, Jaro is pronounced as Haro. The J becomes an H due to Spanish influence.
It's my first time here in your channel. Thank You for touring and coming here in Iloilo. Sending love💕
Thanks for visiting my city, Iloilo ♡︎ I hope you had fun with your stay here.
Thanks for watching!
Hi i'm from iloilo city, hope you enjoy your visit here, thank you guys for your good reviews and hope you could visit our city again! Salamat♥️ Halong..
I haven't been home for years. Thank you for visiting my hometown, I feel like I visited home with you. 🥰💜
what a nice video you got there.. I am a native of ILOILO and Im glad you visited Gigantes island. Iloilo is famous for foreign tourist but because of the Pandemic it slows down. You must come back to iloilo when the Dinagyang festival resume hopefully next year.
People there are very serious in protecting the Iloilo River. Its clean and has a lot of fishes
its so clean!
Because of the good governance of Iloilo's mayor .
It wasn’t clean before but they took pride and cleaned it up
@@edwardlawler9487 Too bad it was not reported in the news. Pasig River can learn from it.
It's good that u both are spending that much to go to other places, in phils just to please all ur subscribers. Love it.
We just love to travel :)
