Skaven and Purple Motion were the true gods of tracker music. I miss those days. This type of music had something very special about it.
Another well known example is Unreal (first installment of the game) which has some of the best tracker tunes ever produced.

Awesome! I had those exact speakers with my SoundBlaster Pro.
I had only PC speaker and beep noises. I got a fake soundblaster later (I think it was called Sound Zapper or something), and It was great, until I melted the chip...
I had a 100MHz 486, with 4 MB of RAM. 640 MB HDD. I had to delete almost everything to get 600 MB of stuff, I took it to a computer shop and they burned a CD for me. Never used Cubic Player, I had FastTracker and there was another one to play mod tracks. But it was pretty bad with PC speaker. I had to save up for a Sound Card. The PC was pretty weak for MP3-s, however with extra RAM , the 486 comp was able to handle 56k mp3-s. I digitalized my audio cassettes right when I was able to do record WAV files and convert them to mp3-s. 😀 I wonder what a generation alpha old kid would understand about this old geek talk. 😀
