the SPEED with which chat reached milestones makes this so much funnier. RT planned to have a gradual build-up where he has to pretend to like daisy more and more but chat just destroyed his dreams and arranged a marriage with daisy for him.

That final push towards 20k was one of the best things to happen on the channel.
It really picked up speed once we hit 18k. I donated around 16k to try and give it momentum but at that point it was going up very slowly so I thought we wouldn't get the cosplay.
It was so intense with the stream time running out but we actually did it :D
The start of the Daisy sound effects was whiplash because I thought I had heard her sounds before, but the "nnNNINTENDO!" from her was gutteral. Scared the shit out of me.
Also RT should have doubled the goals for the whole thing, at least. Twitch chat goes hard when punishments are involved

I still remember how he dug his own grave on this stream. Someone asked about his thoughts on Daisy and Mr. Rumble Tumble Game, with no hesitation, said: "...I love her so much that I've could cosplay her..."
And in that moment I felt like every single one in chat smiled the widest grin on their faces. And not a single soul would make him forget about it. Forever and ever.
And he's also helped a bit to beat up cancer so all in all that's stream was a totally youtube moment!
Oh it was glorious watching that live. The very first mention of cosplay felt like foreshadowing, and then you got to watch RT dig his own grave spade by spade. I broke completely on the race where he just stopped dead at the starting line because you could feel it sinking in in real time, feel him having the 'oh god what have I done' moment

It took charity, but Dan is finally racing with a good character.

Genuine question, what's wrong with Villager?
@@Dinoman972 He's just not meta based off of his stats. In Mario Kart 8 you want your character to have a good speed stat without sacrificing too much off of the mini turbo stat (other stats like acceleration and handling still matter, just not as much).
The issue with Villager, is that when compared to more meta middle weights like Daisy and Peach, he's tied with them for speed while having a worse mini turbo stat. It also doesn't help that Villager's also tied with Peach and Daisy with the Handling and Acceleration stats. And actually there is literally just one stat that Villager has a better score in compared to Peach and Daisy, with that stat being On Road Traction, which sadly for Villager players, isn't nearly as important of a stat compared to Mini Turbo.
My favorite form of comedy is streamers vastly underestimating how much they'll raise for charity and panicking when chat just speedruns the goals
His sheer disbelief that not only did we get through all of the milestones in like 15 minutes, but that we got to 20k so now he has to buy a daisy cosplay is beautiful
I loved watching RT's panic in real time as the amount of money raised just skyrocketed. There was no build up. It was wonderful

I thought they were from the Mario Strikers games, since it had lines from all the characters for all the intro devs, in addition for a lot of very exaggerated voice lines due to the outlandish nature of the game.

On the upside, Placid Plastic Duck does seem to be the kind of game Princess Daisy would play, so you could get away with fulfilling both of those incentives at the same time pretty easily.

Thank you so much for putting yourself on the line for charity against cancer, Dan. My grandpa was just last week diagnosed with late stage inoperable cancer and a few hours ago I visited him for likely the last time. Coming back to see that so much work is being done to try and minimize the kind of suffering he’s going through was a sorely needed pick-me-up; that it happened to involve my personal favorite Mario franchise character, everyone’s favorite LGBTQ+ icon Daisy, only helped lift my spirits even more.
It's February. We all know why we're here.
Cancer claimed the life of my father in 2021, so I'm glad to see my least favorite Mario character quickly raising some money to help fight against it. Hurray for Daisy [and Dan]!

It's a 2 hour stream conga line of multiple irish creators. Once his 2 hours were up you'd be supporting the charity alongside a different streamer. Maybe it'll happen for Jingle Jam
