  • Maude Maggart went to her first cabaret show as a teen. “I’d never seen anything like it,” she says. “It was so magical and special, what could happen in a little room.” Since her own cabaret debut in 2001, the room has gotten much bigger. Maggart has played more than a few famous venues (e.g., Lincoln Center, the Hollywood Bowl, A Prairie Home Companion, New York’s Algonquin Hotel), gathered critical accolades, and wooed a large and incredibly loyal following. Beloved for her sensitive, intelligent interpretations as much as for her striking voice and out-of-time style, she brings fresh life to American songbook and cabaret classics. Joining Maggart for this hour-long concert is pianist John Boswell.
This program is generously underwritten by the Helen B. and Ira E. Graham Family. This program was recorded on May 4, 2019.

Wonderful to see a full-length show from Maude, especially for those of us in Europe! Maude, it's nearly 10 years since your last UK shows. Hoping you can visit London again soon!

What a wonderful voice along with heartfelt interpretations. So delighted she's a mother! I saw her at Emelin Theater in NY about a decade ago. She wove her grandparents romance into the theme of her show. As I recall, her grandfather was a professional horn player and grandmother a singer/dancer. Both her parents were Broadway musical performers, and her sister (I feel) is a musical genius. DNA too precious not to pass along!
