5 to 6 in the morning here in New Zealand. Second day of nationwide lock down. All good coz I'm watching one of my favourite matches. Stay safe everyone.
Damian Reid I have a feeling a Kiwi might score in this game tbh🤔
Same here Damian im in chch. Got my shirt from that season on with a beer!
Wait are you related to Winston Reid?
KingDomofSkeough lol
There was litteraly no reason to ever leave this ground, one day we will rebuild a stadium like this
Hate to say it mate but we're gonna be at the LS for at least 7 or 8 decades - what we need to hope for is a complete reconfiguration of the seats
Nonsense.
Hopefully new owners will get the architects in to sort those gaps out.
@@kevob reckon we'll see the entire lower tier converted in the GSB regime - Bobby Moore lower and brooking lower both already meant to be renovated in the summer - but the upper is where it will be hardest/longest/most expensive
Will ye aye?
Hate seeing these iconic grounds being replaced by soulless domes.
Honestly don't know how any hammer could enjoy a match at that multipurpose mess
Absolutely. Fuckin athletic stadium never meant for football. I
Wish they would just modernise and expand stadiums instead of moving
Jobos a hobo like anfield?
Just Some Guy yeah but don’t evict the locals.. cough cough Liverpool cough cough
We don’t enjoy it!
GOALS + HIGHLIGHTS
13:28 SAKHOOOOOOOOO!!! West Ham United 1-0 Manchester United
57:08 MARTIAL: West Ham United 1-1 Manchester United
1:18:17 MARTIAL AGAIN: West Ham United 1-2 Manchester United
1:22:19 ANTONIOOOOOOOO! West Ham United 2-2 Manchester United
1:26:36 REID SCORES THE WINNER!!!!! West Ham United 3-2 Manchester United
1:40:59 FINAL WHISTLE! WEST HAM LEAVE UPTON PARK WITH A WIN!!
1:41:07 I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles
1:42:36 Slaven Bilic's Tears Of Joy
Now that is what you call a statement win. Absolute drama when it came down to the wire. Winston Reid heads in the winner and West Ham come away with a good memory of a win at Upton Park/The Boleyn Ground over Manchester United. I have to say though, Manchester United did give a good fight. They tried to ruin our evening but we were the much better side. We took our chances and took them well. They [Manchester United] made us work for it, I must admit. But, other than that, what a match! #COYI
Legend 👊🏼
west ham till i die mate
Respect. I'm a Manutd fan but happy to see Wham winning this game
thanks man

Gonna miss the Boleyn but looking forward to going to the London stadium. I’m sure it won’t be a huge embarrassment for everyone involved
Sorry to bring up a comment from the past but yes, it did indeed end up being an embarrassment 😬
Why is that?
Don't mind me, just a Spanish football fan curious about the Premier League. 🙂
мαя¢υs it was sarcastic, the comment was made a day ago I was pretending that I was in the time period the game was played
Daniel Chueca the Boleyn ground was so much better. The atmosphere was amazing, it actually felt like our home. Now at the London stadium we rent an athletics stadium with no atmosphere and the seats a million light years away from the pitch. It was an embarrassment for the board because they promised the best stadium in the world and we don’t even own the pissing thing
@@ollyhursey6844 lol I know bro
At the time I was so convinced we'd choke this and not win, and it looked like it was heading that way. But what a game in the end; the perfect, most fitting send-off.
The day the West Ham nightmare started, god I miss Upton Park,COYI
Probably the best West Ham game in the history of the club
Really?
HOW'S THAT 30 YEAR DEATH FROM GUT DISEASE SOUND, AFRICAN CHILDREN, ROLL UP THE SLEEVES, I'M A LITTLE CHICKEN-NECKED BASTARD, AND NOBODY'S GOT THE WILL TO SEE WHO I AM?
French Guitar Guy WTF is wrong with you.
I hate Suraj I dont know I’m not the one taking a sport so seriously, you’re the one who’s literally just come to bash another team, if you can’t handle a joke that’s your problem.
French Guitar Guy 🥱🥱🥱 *yawns
Score predictions, everyone?! 😉
West Ham United FC cheeky 3-2 Reid to score in 80th 😉⚒
3-2 irons
Hopefully a win to set us up for bigger and better things at the new stadium!
3-2 and if i Am get it right i want a free kit from west ham
not sure think it will be close but 3-2? only time will tell though...
Kouyate was so underrated at our club, and his energy and commitment is something we have missed since he has left. Its easy also to forget how electric the Boleyn could be, so close to the field and a partizan crowd. #backintheday
Shows how the crowd made the players play. No place to hide. Unlike now- The ground brought the team together. Bloody excellent game- lucky you if you got in !!!
Absolute scandal what GSB has done. They should be locked up. The heart and sole of the club was sold by those dirty greedy c##ts.
Watching this in this sad lockdown, missing sport so much . I could cry to have my West Ham back .
I literally cry when I remember this day. I cried when we left this stadium
I’m a West Brom fan so just went to your new ground, and I can honestly say it’s chalk and cheese! No character or atmosphere in the Olympic Stadium, but when you went to Upton Park it was a wall of noise at kickoff and had a feel to it that can’t be remade, be the same when Everton moves! I think more clubs should be encouraged to keep to tradition and just renovate rather than move! Good luck West Ham you’re a good club with shit owners!
Luke Millington like Liverpool with anfield
Yeah, we know we have shit owners! 🤣
its the whole game man, its changing and getting perverted by big money, and its fucking sad to see
@@Nantosuelta football now a days is fucked
Give it 10 years max as the esl will be a thing I’m sure of it, footballs dying
Miss this place more than you’ll ever know, this is HOME❤️⚒
I'm no West Ham fan, but I want to thank Winston Reed for giving me the opportunity to take the piss out of my bandwagon Manchester United friends here. Respect from someone who supports a certain North London club.
As an Arsenal fan Boleyn was much better than London stadium and it’s sad they left
Just like Highbury boy
@@arthurmarston1222 At least the Emirates is in the same area, so the soul remained and local businesses weren't affected.
@@NeedMoarRage same area ?? Not t really pal. Your woolwich arsenal (not even a north London team at heart.. afraid Tottenham are the proper north London team.
Your soul Aswell as ours got affected by moving, both got a crappy cartoon badge Aswell.
But so was highbury mate loved that iconic stadium ⚒
1965 was my first match at the Boleyn. I grew up in care and was just 5 years old.
If u read this West Ham can we rebuild another stadium it will make our club better
XX1 Gaming we can’t afford to just move stadium
It’s cheaper. You can leave the new and get the money for a smaller one
@@rhysrose267 Anything is possible after what is happening in the world now. Time for a new purpose built football for the Hammers when everything hopefully gets back to normal.
Rhys Rose we get no money from it cus we don’t own the London stadium and no one would move down for stadium size
tackler96 why would we build a old style stadium in 2020
Soft spot for West Ham United, fantastic club. Was sad to see the Boleyn Ground go
Gutted watching this, absolutely gutted. First match on 14 March 1987 aged 5. We lost 2-0 to Norwich. I was hooked. Grew up at Ludo's left post in the North Bank. Won nothing in my 38 years, nothing. But we must never stop dreaming that one day our time will come.
Exactly mate same here but Southbank boy, earliest game 🤔maybe 75 older brother took me then 80,s as a teen with mates etc giving it to the away fans in corner lol, & yes,
⚒OUR DAY WILL COME⚒
Remember watching this live , as a man utd fan i felt West Ham just had to win this game , even when we were winning i didn’t feel confident at all just knew they were gonna make the comeback. What a night none the less. Don’t know why they stopped playing here and why the stadium got demolished as it wasn’t bad imo..
Olympic stadium isn’t our stadium but we have to build the culture into it we’re playing great right now we’re in 5th more will come but we have to make the most of it
Who is here after lifting the Europa Conference League trophy
The atmosphere has never been like this since we left the Boleyn:/
Tony Carpinelli couple games were decent. Late kickoffs, couple London derbies come to mind. But I agree just not the same anymore
The Spuds games in 2017 of the Friday night May 5th, nothing else has even come close and this would barely squeeze into the top 25!
It is now
It has been recently, I come from the future.. we just beat Sevilla at home in europa to go through to quarter finals, atmosphere is the best it’s ever been at the bowl.
this moment will never be forgotten, it was a pleasure to watch this game again⚒❤️
I’m not a West Ham fan but the sad thing is I have been to this stadium and it’s one of the best stadiums I’ve been too good luck to West Ham at the new stadium
I’m a Man City fan
Can they live stream mark nobles testimonial next
What a game
That's already up on BT I think.
Watching this live brought me to tears! To beat man u @ home for the last match was perfect. WE LOVE WEST HAM!
I'm a united fan but west ham just had to win this game. It was written in the stars
This was the season I really started to get into football, I started watching the season before but I got really into it this year and went to a few games with my parents, including this one. I've yet to experience anything even close to this night, it was so, so special. The atmosphere was absolutely unreal.
That starting line up is better than the one we have now.
On paper no where near
I had forgotten that the Boleyn was a tidy stadium. Hard to believe they went from crowds of 35,000 to 60,000. Well supported.
it's one of the reasons we moved we outgrew it support wise ⚒
To all ICF CREW, GREETINGS FROM BELGIUM AND THE WBF (stands for WEST BXL FIRM) RSCA and what a game,I used to go to Upton Park (EastEnders)and went to the 1988-89 season's MILLWALL/WEST HAM UNITED AT THE DEN (SUBWAY ACCIDENT, BUSHWHACKERS WEREN'T TOO HAPPY)BUT WELL BEFORE THE GAME,HELL BROKE LOOSE AT THEIR PLACE, VICTORY FOR ICF 👌👌🍻🍻😎 UPTON PARK WAS A SUPERB PLACE TO WATCH A FOOTBALL GAME AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS UTTERLY OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Thx fella ⚒
11 minutes in, and it's already emotional
'Stand up for Boleyn ground ' made me feel sad
Never forget this might forever grateful 💙
Love mark noble. Proper west ham.
18:00 Daley Blind is the epitome of intelligence in football. He’s not blessed with pace, but he makes up for it with his intelligence and technique. What a player🙌🏾
Can’t be that good, weren’t on the winning side was he ;)
We will still somehow find a way to lose this.
Look how far we have fallen.
Looking back at this, it truly makes you appreciate the players. Every single one of them working their socks off
Mad we played Antonio at rb.
4:07. I'm an everton fan but I feel really bad for you. You've got a solid fanbase and the owners have ripped the soul out of your club by leaving the boleyn (Which was a classic ground they didn't even need to leave) and moved into what is actually an athletics stadium. I hope to god the same doesn't happen to everton. There's possibly light and the end of the tunnel and things will get better, but if you want that you desperately need a change of ownership. Keep the protests going and get them out
Very similar clubs us & Everton, good fanbase, underachievie & similar stadiums goodison & Boleyn that nobody can match when in full voice , Never leave goodison, one of the last old skool stadiums
The old lady Boleyn in all her glory. A ground steeped in history. S G & B you killed this club.
Unfortunately and regrettably, I never had the chance to go to this magnificent stadium but I did have the pleasure of watching countless matches live on TV in this stadium including this one so I can still say that I still don't think we should have left, I still don't understand why we left and I still miss it. Rewatching this match brought back happy memories but it also reminded me that not only do I miss the stadium but I miss that season, that team, the way that team played, Payet, Carroll, Slaven, the atmosphere of that stadium and just everything to do with that night. If I could travel back in time only once in my life, I'd travel back to that night but I'd make it so that me and my Dad were actually there. I've accepted that we're at the London Stadium forever now but watching this again just brings back all the doubts and questions about the move that I had back then, like why do it? What's in it for us as the fans? Was it a mistake? Nobody can answer these questions but I guess the only thing that's for certain is that the West Ham we see now is completely 100% different to the West Ham of that night and we'll never be the same again and I miss that West Ham. Oh, Gold Sullivan and Brady, what did you do? #RIPWESTHAM #FAREWELLBOLEYN #LONGLIVETHEBOLEYN
Same wish I went there
Have supported west ham all my life. Had the great fortune of going to upton park for one match with my dad and brother. We flew over from Ireland. Still to this day one of my best memories ever, and hopefully the 3 of us will do the same soon in the Olympic stadium.
Wish we never left. The London stadium will never compare to what we had
I miss the Boleyn,, never be the same.. so sad..
AGUANTE WEST HAM UNITED FANS FROM ARGENTINA
3-2 I predicted. Reid to score winner
Watching this really made me think about my own ground st James. Wish i could have gotten to go to the Boleyn. Would have been a great away day.
1:40:43 Carroll outta nowhere 🤣
Remember this so well. A New Zealander to score the winner .... legend
Na, pull on the claret and blue and wear it with pride and he’s a cockney as far as we concerned. Just because he was born thousands of miles away is just a detail! 🤣😂🤣
I predict that we will win 3-2
My guess is Reid to score a late header. COYI
whats the odds on that then
Same
I’m a Norwich fan but this has got to be one of the best grounds ever in England! One of your fans make a petition and spread it round and get money donations to rebuild a ground! Make it happen pads
Lads
This is a wind up ain't it? In the multi million pound era of the PL you want fans to raise money to build a new ground? You are f'ing kidding right?
greatest chants by westham supporters. how majestic
Now that is a proper ground
I hope it will still be available to watch after the stream has ended. It premieres at 2am here from where I am.. #COYI
Silly how good Lanzini was for us here, look at him now :-(
He’s back 💎
@@arthurmarston1222 good job bumping this comment. Was just saying a few weeks ago just how he has returned to his peak, superb to see.

The final farewell for our favourite Boleyn girl.
WINSTON REID IS THE MAN
The day west ham died.. this was a funeral
Nearly 7 years on and I can’t see where the times gone, miss Upton Park ⚒🙁
Should've never left the Boleyn Ground. Should have just built on it and made it bigger.
A part of West Ham had died after this.
Love to have Sakho back
Miss the place everyday. We should never have moved. You sold us out and sold our soul for the sake of a few more corporate boxes.
watching this live was the greatest memory of my life
GSB OUT !!! Irons
i whish once in my life i could experience something like this, the atmosphere is so incredible.
What STINKS is the council would not allow the ground to be extended/developed.
Yet go and look at all the shite they have allowed to be built on and around the Boleyn ground site now.
We should never have been forced out. They should have allowed the ground to be extended.
Unfortunate that Newham is the worst council in London, I don't know how one can be so incompetent
I bloody loved this game! Went though some emotions that night...
What an amazing atmosphere! What an amazing ground! Moving has ruined our club! Very bittersweet watching this game back!
John Terry is well better than all the west ham players
This aged well
Just wow.
That Carroll clearance at the end...!!
These West Ham fans are different class
Beautiful
Thanks West Ham United FC
All legends
Rooney, payet, smalling...
watching this after we lost 1-0 in the fa cup to bristol wanting to remember what it means to be a hammer
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Que hermoso jugaba este West Ham😢
And demolished this historical stadium for fucking residential buildings, because council didn't want to allow West Ham to expand it, what a fck joke.
It’s weird but the 10th of May is now both the happiest and saddest day of the year. 1980 we beat Arsenal to win the cup, 2016 the day the club died. Let’s here it for Stratford Olympic FC, because it ain’t fucking West Ham anymore, that’s for sure!
back when van gaal made a weird transfer and make man utd play like 2nd division team
Forever Blowing Bubbles
Un classico
Love that Antonio header
Am I Chelsea fan but always enjoyed an away day at the Boleyn. The new fish bowel is not the same, can’t even get a few drinks near the ground anymore
This game will always put a smile on my face :)
Goosebumps,when we sing bubbles.
The day the real and ambitious passionate west ham United died rip from 1904 to 2016
I'm glad we got a result, knowing our luck we'd have lost the second time round.
Antonio has beefed up even more in the intervening years
What fitting end to a great game and stadium.
Sad day
I do hate that first score because was too good,, us Manchester fan
Leaving the boleyn is symbolic of football as a whole, the perversion of the game, forgetting the culture and history in favor of big money and soulless modern arenas. Its really sad how corrupted the game has become
lanzini does it again on the spuds
About the only time it was full up
Guts and passion typical West Ham
Sakho has gone missing for us nowadays but reckon he will bag today
