They should have never gotten rid of Splash Mountain
The woke Democratic Party pressured them.
Splash mountain was a disaster. It broke down constantly too
It even had one of its logs sink
I love that Japan told Disney to splash itself when they demanded that Japan get rid of splash mountain
THEY GOT RID OF SPLASH MOUNTAIN? WHY?? (I don’t keep up with this)
well- when a company drives out it's old, experienced talent to replace them with untested DEI hires- you get animatronics that break, rides that can't function, movies that suck and parks that do THIS to their loyal customers...
Anti-White BS has ruined them
It’s has nothing to do with DEI For god sakes give it a rest, It’s their own cheap behinds!! They’re broke 😂😂

Song of the South was the first movie I saw in the theater. Mom took me and my brother. We were dressed up but kept going to the bathroom so we could play in the lobby, on a red carpet, and jumping around.
We did see the zip.do.da scene. I have a digital copy and all the classics before they're gone forever.

Mystic Manor, created by Joe Lanzisero, Imagineer - was the last time Disney had a great imagineer working for them.
And the American parks didn't even get that ride.
The guy literally created his own story for the ride better than anything Disney has in decades.
During the Lake Nona transfer debacle, I'd bet a LOT of Imagineers left for Universal.
That whole Lake Nona thing was so stupid. The whole thing made no sense. There was no way that Disney was actually going to do that. I think the same thing applies here. Disney needs money to expand, money that they honestly don't have.
According to rumors, even more left or retired due to DEI. When you couldn't criticize or correct the new DEI hires, many of the older and/or capable imagineers decided they no longer wanted to work for Disney.
I've been there. I know the feeling.
Those 2 items along with mandatory vaccines.
It does not make sense to spend $3 billion to rescan a ride that was not racist and was the most popular ride that Disney had and not spend a dime to keep maintenance up so that the ride will keep running while the park is open
Fun fact song of the south never even mentioned Slavery
Uncle Walt wanted it to show you could still be treated as a slave even if you’re not a slave. So basically the character could’ve been a regular laborer or sharecropper
Actually a tar baby is very racist have u seen the movie or are u just going by the ride
@@andrewgetz7526 Tar baby simply meant don’t let your emotions get the best of you, it only leads to sticky situations. That was a life lesson, it has nothing to do with race. That’s why changing it to honey on the ride didn’t affect any of its meaning.

Didn’t splash mountain have animatronics too?
Tokyo Disney’s Splash Mountain has everything working and looks brand new. I rode it in February. They don’t have competent people making decisions or doing the work at Disneyworld.

The ghost of brer rabbit must be appeased.
As stupid as the concept is, Disney only needs to replace Autotopia with this idea instead of destroying the river.
My friend is an imagineer and said a lot of the younger new ones don’t actually have any imagination, they just want the latest easy technology like huge screens and don’t pay attention to details especially when it comes to making attractions from movies

The missus and I have been AP/Magic Key pass holders since 2007 at Disneyland, this year will be the first time we won’t renew our passes, we are trying to go as much as possible before our passes expire and more and more we’ve been noticing how often rides go down, here’s the list of all the rides that went down at least once during the day…
Rise of the resistance (obviously)
Haunted Mansion
Big Thunder
Peter Pan
Indiana Jones
Mr. Toad
Oh and Disneyland Railroad and Space Mountain were temporarily closed for “refurbishment”
I don’t know if DCA was doing better since we spent the day at Disneyland but this is absolutely ridiculous…!!! And that’s why we’re not renewing for the first time in 17 years!
Wow! Are they doing it on purpose to sell genie+??
@@Louismoxley that’s as good a theory as any.
We're in a similar boat. My family has had the same Disneyland APs since 2001. Ever since the the Magic Keys came around and the company really started dragging the parks downhill, we've been letting them lapse now. It's sad how far they've fallen.
@@VFKAdventureRabbit I really miss being able to drop by Disneyland or DCA at any moment just out of a whim, I had been thinking about not renewing our passes since the whole reservation system became permanent.
TBA is a great acronym for Tianas Bayou Adventure. Whether you will get to ride it or not is always TBA.
🤣
i started going to disneyland in california when i was about 5 years old (1966),and have loved it all my life. as time goes on and i see more of what i loved being replaced by something no one asked for,i can't help but laugh at their failures. the problems with tiana's ride reminds me very much of what they did to our beloved peoplemover. someone had the big idea to turn it into a high speed "rocket rods" attraction, but never bothered to address the problems that would occur. so we got a ride that continually broke down, and eventually closed altogether leaving us with bare tracks for the last 25 years. the whole re-theme of tomorrowland in 1998 was a disaster to be honest. if this new generation of "imagineers" falls flat on their faces they have only themselves to blame. splash mountain was a wonderful attraction, but disney had to bow to the pressure of certain groups who deemed it to be not P.C. for the 21st century when in reality there was no reference to slave days at all. radiator springs racers at DCA is over a decade old and still has operation issues that cause it to go down daily. if they think a similar ride at the magic kingdom isn't going to have those problems they are sadly mistaken. people are going to get sick of the mismanagement of the walt disney company and take their hard earned dollars elsewhere if they don't right this sinking ship fast.
They should save the money, put up a huge mural that completely obscures the river instead. That mural will depict the new vision for the area, at least this way they avoid the never ending breakdowns, and maintenance is within their current capabilities.
Tony Baxter must be laughing right now. How could they not have listened to him. But then Disney would have admitted to fault at that time . And they hate to be wrong. Well they are anyway. So sad they got what they deserve now a ride that is not working.
" Splash Mountain not that reliable".
Current Disney imagineers " Hold my bud light."
My family visited Disney every 4 years until my grandfather passed away. We only remember Splash Mountain being broken down ONCE out of the many trips we were there.
Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Mine passed away last year 😢
the concept art of Carsland vehicles - is not realistic as there is no ride system that can do what is shown. The art doesn't show slot track vehicles like at DCA Radiator Springs Racers -- and trackless vehicles can not travel up and down terrain.
Wokism destroys everything it touches. Instead of simply adding a notice that the ride may display outdated racial stereotypes, they got rid of an iconic fixture of the park and replaced it with a swamp ride that doesn't even work. What a joke.
Splash mountain broke down too a lot
@@ZanderHanna Not as much as the retheme failure. And besides the original earned more customers and bigger lines then the failure ever will. Stop trying to downtalk about the more popular original. Give it up.
Exactly, they put those warnings on their old movies and they haven't stop showing those.
You dont even have to do that. If they wanted to do anything, all they had to do was make a statue of James Baskett honoring the first black male winning an Academy Award for his portrayal of Uncle Remus. You preserve history. People learn something about the attraction they might not have known. It's win-win all around. But instead, they decide to tear it down and the people that made something of themselves and lifted up their community are forgotten and disappear. The complete opposite of their whole "woke ideology".
Tiana's will be forever broken due to the fatal design flaw of using electronic animatronics in an inclosed, water based attraction in a humid, wet state. They will always short circuit and malfunction, there is no saving this disaster, only gutting it and starting over
1. Insert Dr. Facilier into the ride as the antagonist, have him shrink us down, and then have Mama Odie set things right.
2. Put cars ride in autotopia and leave the river and tom sawyer alone.
3. Put villian land beyond haunted mansion.
---problems solved.
Yeah your ideas are better
Excellent one more step closer to Disney’s demise
You can't put a major E ticket attraction in the middle of a park without a backstage access.
Disney Japan: haha
From deconstructing charactes and stories
To deconstructing park rides.
That's the Disney DEI way.
To be honest, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure looks as Immersive as Galaxy Edge at times but the ride through feels like a combination of Super Star Limo and Journey into Your Imagination. Maybe, I will also add the Rocket Rods because it pretty much destroyed a great attraction and also breaks down a lot (I hear you Offhand Disney Dailin but even if they could fix the Disneyland people mover, they might put in a ridiculous IP that doesn’t really belong there and that ridiculous IP would ruin the ride). Anyways, the ride actually makes me worried about Disneyland’s one. If it’s basically that bad at Magic Kingdom it might be even worse at Disneyland. Probably so worse that they will have to close it to update to make it better that it could be popular again. This ride is basically so bad that it even makes the possible TV show of Tiana looks as good as the acolyte.
Remember when you went to Disneyland and there was maybe one ride down for maintenance? Now they close 3 or 4 at a time WITHOUT a discount on the price for what you are missing out on. Not worth the money anymore. Rest in Peace Disneyland and DisneyWorld. You will be missed.
It’s really a shame😔
Walt would be disgusted at the changes at his park he loved so much. Very sad 😔
My beloved mom & I went to Epcot the year it opened. I was so excited I bought a magazine they put out before it opened and looked & looked at it until it fell apart. There was no shade & it was sunny & hot. Poor mom had blisters on her feet but we had a great time. We had gone to Disney World a couple times before that. My now husband & I went to Epcot a couple of times in the early 90’s & had a good time. A few years ago when Disney went woke we went to Universal & loved it stayed onsite at Portofino Bay. Can’t wait for Epic we definitely will be going there!
As for Disney it will stay in my mind how it was when my mom & then my husband & I went, all the great rides, beautiful, clean & fun just like Walt wanted it. We won’t be spending our time or money on a place that put woke above everything & has made a habit of destroying a great park.

Obviously the 'imagineers' no longer have imagination or engineering competence
Too right, from a former Imagineer, and Animator. All of this garbage is heart-wrenching for me, and sick.
Disney took a classic working attraction and broke it. I cannot believe what they turned Splash Mountain into. What is it supposed to be? There's no reference to any Disney property. It looks like a pile of leaves. The way I feel about the removal of the Splash Mountain theme is like how I felt about what they did to Luke Skywalker.
Disney sucks
If I were to give a more spiritual take on this I'd say the dead builders and creators of Splash Mountain maybe even Walt and Roy are rebelling.
All the talent that built many of these companies and have passed are likely haunting the place as they have felt a great disturbance to their legacy and don't like that feeling!!
Agreed!
Could you say that the ride is cursed?? Uncle Remus’ revenge!!!
lolz, this is like that scene from the movie 'Rat Race' "should have bought a squirrel!!"
Now we can call him Uncle Rukus now because I keep wanting to call him Uncle Rukus anway.
Are those pictures of Rivers of America current? I certainly hope not
Saw a ride through video the other day and almost all the animatronics were stuck in Tpose. It looked horrible!
And the fact people still support Tiana’s is flat out sad
Those running Disney's park planning are completely clueless. Walt bought all that land for a reason, so they could EXPAND and not remove and replace existing attractions. Expanding would also allow for more capacity in the park. The ride would tie in to Frontierland a thousand times better if it were put at the back in the open area, sort of hidden and allowing an area that adds to the ambience to the park to remain...
Disney is not at the top any more.
They lost the #1 spot.
I hope universal mops the floor with them, it’ll be fun to see
Disney lost its way totally. Splash Mountain is a primary example. Most people don’t give a damn about the stupid origins because the ride itself is not “racist”. 95% of US population has not even seen Song of the South. Such a silly move by Disney😂.

The patient, Disney Company, is no longer competent to manage the size and scale of its enterprise. Shareholders must exercise a new authority listed or not and reclaim the Company. It is amazing that a company this size is allowed to go rouge.

Frontierland is no fun without Splash Mountain, Country Bear Jamboree, Rivers of America, and Tom Sawyer Island! Bob Iger, Josh D'Amaro, Carmen Smith, Charita Carter, and all the woke empoylees at Disney needed to be fired! 😡
Funny how the ride worked just months ago and stopped after they decided to "DEI" the ride because they wanted to make it more inclusive. Seems that they've never the say9ing "don't fix whats not broken"!
Disney is good at destroying attractions, destroying an attraction to replace it with another attraction is not an expansion. It doesn’t necessarily increase the capacity of the park. Disney World has more room. You don’t need to destroy any attractions to build a new attraction in Disney World. Use some of the land that you have, more attractions not fewer attractions and they seem to be removing attractions all the time
I don't understand how anyone can defend this ride. We were ALL robbed here. Splash fans had to watch their favourite ride get destroyed and Tiana fans were given a lackluster ride that doesn't do the character justice.
It's a disaster. I'm sick of people pretending it's fine.
"justice" would have been to give Tiana a really nice $$$ restaularnt, concentaret on food, the NOLA jazz scene, music from the movie- a Louis walk around. Why do they do a better job on a cruise ship at sea with this than they do on a theme park?! Thy should have started ot with the cruise ship dinner, and translated THAT to the parks. Tiana's Boring boat attraction was slapped together by the lowest bidder, pure and simple
Unburdened by what came before 😂
A sign of exactly how much Disney has fallen from Walt's vision. A friend of mine commented that she saw a commercial for Disney the other day... and there wasn't a single child in the entire commercial
I see two reasons for it to be down this much for months and neither are good for Disney 1. they made it way to advanced without knowing how to use or repair it 2. they are just have incompetent builders, repairers, staff and bosses
3. They outsourced everything to the lowest bidder and ripped out timeless simple designs that real in-house Imagineers of the past were masters at.

Disney just decided to push their agenda. They are far left, and they side with the news companies.
The "HIstory of the Song, it's based on?" What? Look up your history of "Song of the South" and the Song...there IS NO RACISM whatsoever, in that film. Uncle Remus is NOT a slave, the picture is set during the Reformation, after slaves were set FREE, and they Chose, to continue as employees at the Plantations, with the families they had grew fond of. Uncle Remus, was an inspiration to all the children in the area, and told them wonderful stories to entertain and unite, the children!!! The children in the film were different races, and all treated equal with love and respect...I could go on, but that movie stands as a Testament to everyone being treated equally, and appreciating each other. And Zipadeedoodah, is an incredibly happy song about loving life!!!!

It's a weird time to be a theme park fan when you realize theirs an enormous amount more creativity in the online planet coaster community than their is currently working for Disney Imagineering.

It is hard to accept that Splash Mountain was shut down following complaints from a small group of BLM members who argued that the ride promoted racism based on its source material. I would wager all of those who voiced their concerns have not even watched the film.
Ok so at Tiana’s it was non working half the day. When it came back up mama Odie right before the drop was completely not working. The ride wasn’t bad but not what I expected either at all. They could do so much better. I was pretty upset considering we got denied for das after using it for years for a pretty serious issue one family member has. And let me say the people on the phone for das were cold as ice I couldn’t believe it. In the past they were warm and friendly in the video call. Not this time,,,,even kept cutting me off while talking. The “health care professional” they brought on the call literally said “what’s that” to a medical condition that I’m sure most the public have heard of. I was in shock. When I explained what it was she acted like oh yeah ok I know what that is. Like what?,,,,,there’s no way they are nurses or doctors. No way.
One thing people don’t often discuss when it comes to the Tiana ride and it’s intent and cheapness is how it weakens the Princess & The Frog brand by making people associate it with this ride and by extension fake social consciousness and shoddy inagineering
They probably don't want to shut down the ride so soon after it opened, assuming they even *WANT* to fix the animatronics.
....and they think that they are going to be able to ACTUALLY COMPETE with EPIC UNIVERSE?!?......Disney R.I.P. 2019....
I guess they should not have fired all thier IT and Tech workers to bring in low wage work visa.
If they stuck with the storyline of Princess and the frog I think it would’ve went over a lot better. Oh yeah, and better engineering that takes the climate into account
The Splash retheme was the beginning of a string of terrible decisions (actually it was the removal of Magical Express imo) but this awful idea of putting Cars in Frontierland and getting rid of TSI and RoA is unforgivable.

Re-imagining this ride work's one day - Imagineer
Perhaps we are looking at this all wrong -
Perhaps Tiana is a giant piece of performance art from Imagineering about wokism in the modern world. They have taken a ride that worked for everyone, told a story that worked for all, and gave pleasure to all and transformed it into a facade that looks good to a few but in the end doesn't function. It takes equality of opportunity for all who wish to ride the ride if they wish to pay the price and the wait and gives now equality of outcome - one one at all can use the ride. Everyone equally gets nothing.
BUT - even if unintended, it is a Tiana is a masterful commentary on what these practices actually do in the real world when taken out of some error prone philosophy.
If it dies, it dies
I'm convinced that Bob has some childhood hatred of Disney and he vowed to destroy it when he became an adult.
Think the nasty kid that lived next door to Andy in Toy Story.
Bob hates everything Disney and he will not stop till its all destroyed. Financially and physically. Get him out or lose Walt's beautiful dream.
This is what Bob wants. Actions speak louder than words.
At this point, I think I'll wait until I get to the afterlife so I can build a better Disneyland with real high quality rides including the rides Disneyland refuses to build including Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, Meet the Robinsons, Wreck it Ralph, Cinderella, also I'd remake the Jungle Cruise ride more like the movie, also I'd build a Princess and the Frog log flume ride and actually include Dr. Facilier and the other villains like Reggie Darnell, Two Fingers, Lawrence, Fenner Brothers, the evil spirits and add the Spoonbills and lady butterflies, Marcel cat, Buta Dog.
Sooner or later Tiana's Bayou Adventure is going be just like Superstar Limousine 2001 Disneyland. I think that the Disney Imagineers should flatten out the big drop off and make it a more weaker gentler drop off since they're not going to include Dr. Facilier or heck, just demolish the Splash Mountain ride since it's aging and falling apart and make Tiana's Bayou Adventure a flat boat ride like Jungle Cruise. I also think it's a bad idea for Disney World to retheme Tom Sawyer Island into Cars land. They should've rethemed it to Pocahontas around the river bend ride instead.
Sooner or later I'm going to have to sing the verse "Let it Go" from "Little Wonders" song from Meet the Robinsons 2007 or "Let it go" from Frozen 2013, I'm ashamed of what Disneyland and Disney World in this world has become lately, the Disney company no longer listens to customers and eventually in 20 years or more it could be like those abandoned theme parks like with one of the Six Flags theme park which I don't want but can't control since I'm an autistic man.
They should rename the ride "Tiana's Bye-to-you Adventure:!
Splash Mountain's characters were pneumatic, they worked in heat, humidity and water. Tiana is built with electronic and electrical components. If you don't completely seal everything of course it's going to breakdown.
disney really needs to take down this ride the Tianas ride and put up a big mary poppins ride just like the movie
Disney’s parks are going to trash. I’m having fun at other theme parks this year and waiting for Epic Universe.
As far as the functionality of the Cars attraction goes, I think it depends on who’s designing it. Is it being designed by the DEI hacks behind TBA, the master artisans behind Fantasy Springs or some group of Imagineers in between the two? Depending on which one it actually is, I believe the results would vary wildly. And even if it ends up being the best group of the three, they’d still likely find their talents hindered by the vast mismanagement of the Bob Iger Company in some way, shape or form. Either way, this project is screwed no matter what if they don’t pivot as that one source of yours said they might.
Brer Rabbit has found his laughing place. BRING BACK THE ORANGE GROVES!!
I realize the time has come and gone for Disney to ever alter its course and go back to being a family friendly company, but I had a thought earlier.
So after getting the smoke alarms to stop beeping, I tried to put those thoughts into a logical form. I don't know much about AI, but what if they brought back a version of the "Walt Disney Presents" show that used to air on Sunday night.
It could start by telling the younger generations who Walt was, why he did what he did, and his visions for the studios and the parks. There's tons of footage of building the parks I'm sure, and thanks to technology, these first few.episodes could be told by "Walt" himself. I know there has to be people who knew him well enough to do this, but I also know that list must be shrinking every year.
After that, he could introduce some original series like Disney used to be famous for, like Zorro, Davy Crockett, Swamp Fox, cartoons, nature documentaries, show a classic animated movie, etc...
I realize I'm pissing in the wind with this, and the "activists" would just turn it into an abomination, but it would be nice if families could watch something together for a couple of hours that you never had to worry about the content, could be entertained, and put all the phones and devices down just for a little while.
Disney needs to hire a new CEO that will refix everything think of better imaginer
And they should just fix all the animatronics from splash Mountain but no, they decide to make it into taina that basically makes no sense forfrontierland. Disney, you got to stop breaking theMagic. The ghost of ber rabbit is still in that ride
What are you talking about confidence?
Iger's and D'Amaro's primary requirement for imagineers was no imagination and as somebody put it base all designs on dying malls.
Even if it does work, it stills sucks. I did it 3 times with no issues. Almost everything worked. It was a snore fest. There’s no substance whatsoever. The “theming” and “details” are cheaper than Six Flags.
defunctland is canon!!!!
Never let Disney cook ever again 😂
maybe they should rename it Tiana's maintenance adventure which you watch almost daily it being fixed. they should invest in cameras and screens so you can watch the maintenance tech fix the ride lol.
Waiting for them to get the blessings from the South Florida Water Management District when when they seek permission to pave over all that area. They are going to have to accommodate a monster amount of storm runoff.
At LEAST TRON IS becoming normal queue
hahaha wonderful, lets make even more people wait in line to get up to the ride, only to dind they don't fit!
What animatronic was broken? I just rode it earlier and I didn’t see any breakdowns.
I would enjoyed bringing back the SKYWAY all over instead of Tiana’s or this new CARS fiasco.
