Thanks Dave. I am liking mine since I built it. You are going to have to watch my video on tips and tricks to learn how to use it. I had a real battle to figure it out and I can save you lots of frustration :>).
Hmmm I’m thinking about the vintage clamps I rarely use but mostly abuse. Commonly I sand knife blades and scales. Ordinary vise is best for working thin side up and flat side vertical. Your design has soft jaws and looks easily adaptable to working / sanding flat / wide side. You also are proof that dogs love can be purchased 👏
I like to think that I earned their love :>). Dogs are good therapy and entertaining. FYI, I do have several videos on handscrew clamps and even one on a jig to hold it horizonal or vertical. Thanks Kent
Hey Russ, great video!!! What was the size of the hand clamps you used? I have the 8 inch one but that size looks handy and want to buy a pair. Waiting for the next video.
I remember those wooden clamps from shop class in school, but I have never owned one. That vice configuration looks quite useful.
