it's a nice little detail that tieflings love any kind of meat, especially raw! mine loves fresh fish in particular.

Then ten session down the road, they meet Bobdar and learn he's hiding a lot of anxiety and self-esteem issues under the pressure to be a good orc son, and always envied Mogdar for being able to follow his dreams

I like how the picture was crooked in the frame, but Mommmah Orc tilted the frame so that the picture was straight, a small but delightful detail imo.

To be fair, Orcs were typically raiders. So it’s possible for a consenting relationship, but like a half Saxon half Dane in the time of Alfred the Great odds are that kid wasn’t wanted. But it’s always been possible for a wholesome family.
Hum, it might have something to do with the D&D orcs looking totally different from the original orcs in LotR to begin with...

I have an idea that could work. One of the more obscure DND creatures is the Losel (the result of orcs mating with baboons) . I could see the other characters seeing Mogdar with one and thinking he had gotten a pet pet.

plot twist: the father is a chaos marauder chief who took an arrow in the knee(literally) which cause a misunderstanding but love the slow life so he didn't bother to clear it
