Oh thank you so much guys for visiting hotel Jati’s Warung! I’m so glad I asked, you never disappoint! Thanks so much for the great videos and all your efforts. I’m truly greatful!
We stayed in the Taman Agung hotel next to the Republique. But we are just back to cold Belgium🤐 Never ever have we seen people in the Mama Rita warung. Have you tried Mona Lisa restaurant, we did and it was great food. Warung and food please.
Thank you Kim and Berg, I’ve made note on a few things from your video for our next trip……not sure when tho! Is Christmas a big celebration there…..would love seeing a video if it is! What about a video on water sports? Thank you both!
Hi Lynette 👋 Some restaurants put on Christmas events targeted at tourists. Christmas isn’t a thing for Balinese Hindus or other Indonesian muslim families 😃
I like watching you guys chill out in the heat… I am always fascinated by the variety of food presentations and both of you make it look exciting and adventurous…. Thx again….
I love seeing you visit warungs supporting the locals. It would be great if you showed us your top coffee shops, not tourist prices. Sunrise and sunsets at Sanur. For you to take a walk along Padang Galak Sanur beach. Love your videos
Really enjoyed that Bergs. Jati has been an old stomping ground of ours in the past, so we watched this construction with interest. Lovely to have "virtual lunch" there today. I really love it when you take us along to new places. Didnt know the bank had moved....will watch that now vacant space with interest. Jungle is hubby's fave coffee "go to" also Berg....mostly while I'm swanning around inside Koa Shala opposite.
thanks for that walk ! All our fav places,we stay in a private villa down the gang beside 101 hotel. Great places to eat in the area. Hope you go to Old Brick and Warung Naksa 👍some time
Hi Kim and Berg. We are very familiar with this Warung as in September we stayed at Hotel Jati. We obviously had breakfast there for 13 days and lunch there a couple of times. We thought both the Warung and Hotel/homestay were very reasonable. If you remember we met with you for coffee around 15th September and very much enjoyed your company.
Great video you mentioned a couple of homestays in this one .We stayed in one for the first time last year and loved it could you recommend a couple of your favourites .Pretty please.❤
Hi love your videos keep up the good work and let us all know what's available in Sanur!. Are there any good Sunday roasts dinners in or near Sanur that you would recommend. Also I'm 64 and will soon be retiring could you give us tips for doctors and dentist and health Insurance please. Thanks again for all your amazing videos
Hi Peter 👋 Firstly, thanks for watching and sharing your comment 🤩 We appreciate your support! Sunday roasts… Warung Sports, Firestation, Trattoria, The ClubHouse (Saturday evening roast). Once you have your retirement visa for 6mths you’ll be eligible to apply for the local health benefits (BPJS) which covers Dr & dental appointments… similar to Aus Medicare… costs 150k per month per person
You kept us guessing Kim with your secret Warung destination. Good choice and well priced. What road again was it, is it just off JL. Danau Tamblingan, or not? BTW, Berg, i had my upper tooth #26 extracted last Monday 4 Dec at South Perth Hospital. Getting used to it myself presently. Planning on an implant in in 6 months.
Another great video . Saw a few places we had walked past but not probably noticed. So I added them to my list 😊. I don’t know if you have been to it but Warung Stall Rainbow has one of the best Sate Babi that I’ve ever had but also their peanut sauce that came with it, tasted like it was 40years ago when I first visited. Fantastic!
That shop you love was up near the restaurant I was talking about but they moved there in June & we went to the grand opening. Everything was 50% off and got a big light. Missus fell in love with it
We’re going to Indonesia in March/April (Touring Bali and Lombok) for 3 weeks then we have five nights in Sanur so these videos are great for getting a feel for the place. Thank you both and keep up the good work.
Hi Berg and Kim. Love your vids. You should go to visit the Hare Krishna temple and farm out south West of the island. This could be quite a road trip, and would be quite different and off beat. Thanks. P. R.
I love seeing you dine out and shop but would love it if you put the equivalent amount on screen in Aussie dollars to help judge prices please. Keep up the great adventures guys
Hi Jeanette… We keep it in IDR because we that’s what we pay & all viewers from around the world can convert it 🤩 It’s good practice for when you get here 🤣😉 but you’ll notice we refer to AUD a bit more in a couple of upcoming videos. Thanks for watching 🤩
I love your content just keep what you’re doing my family will be staying in Sanur in Jan and will definitely try some of the places you have suggested thank you so much ❤
Hey Berg's, I've been to Bali many times, I much prefer eating away from tourists dumbed down food. Any chance going further away from coast in Sanur and do Warang eats vids. Keep up the great work Cheers
Eventually! We try to show other areas & warungs when we take our monthly getaways around the island. Check out our Lovina, Amed, Sidemen & CandiDasa videos. But your suggestion is a great one & what WE like to do 🤩
What is your opinion about the Beer drinking culture of Australia, and the problems many Australians (and other nationalities) get themselves in to on Bali. I haven’t seen you guys on a pub tour yet . I’m in Sanur at the moment and the Aussie Bars are plenty.
You’ll never see us on a pub tour!! Not all Australian people are big drinkers… Our opinion on that is that we don’t worry about what other people are doing 😊 Of course it’s shameful when some misbehave but, in general, Aussies are just here to enjoy their holiday 🌴 Live and let live.
You said any questions so ...I'd like to know a good place to stay with small children? Without spending a heap of money. Last time I took my children was to stay at Febris and then a private villa in ubud. After somewhere the kids will be occupied with a decent pool and then good food restaurants without having to go to far as I don't like taking the kids in the busy areas as it can get a bit daunting. Thanks 😊
My wife and generally stay in Sanur when we are in Bali. We are always looking for places where we can do some latin or ballroom dancing. Can anyone advise us on that? Alan n Maryke
It depends! For teeth cleaning we visit a local dentist in Jln Pantai Sindhu, Sanur. Last week Berg had a broken tooth removed through the local BPJS health plan & visited a Denpasar hospital clinic. He’s likely going through Rejuvie Sanur for upcoming Implant 🫣
First ! My Favourite couple in Bali with the chillest vibe !
Thank you, that’s nice of you to say 😎🌴👍👍
Awesome! Love a good satay
Us too!
Kim , I would love to go shopping with you.
Haha! Shopping for what? I only like buying 🤣🤣 If it’s something I want… I’ll come 😀

Great little warung 😊 love to see you go to nasi tekor for.lunch ...it's a fabulous experience
Yes, we’ve heard great things about it 🤩 Thanks for your feedback
Thanks guys love what your doing for us. Great to see the local warungs and $$
Thanks Linda, we appreciate your support 😎🌴
Love to see more hidden gems - the Warungs you must visit which are not in the main streets/area.
Thanks for watching 🤩 We do love an out-of-the-way warung
Thanks guys. Would love a video about your personal journey with getting a visa to live in Bali, please.
Hi Jenny, Our visa journey would no longer be applicable as the retirement rules have changed since we arrived!
Thankfully we came when we did 🤩
Oh thank you so much guys for visiting hotel Jati’s Warung! I’m so glad I asked, you never disappoint! Thanks so much for the great videos and all your efforts. I’m truly greatful!

We will! Great to meet you and Ron today 🤩 Hopefully we’ll see you around the traps 😄 Hope you enjoyed your cakes 🧁
The Street walk around is great, brings back a lot of good memories. Would like to see you both at one of the local cooking classes.
We like that idea! Thanks 😊

Back the other way where you started about 150 meters maybe is a great restaurant right on the left bend. Maybe own by the swaz?
We know the one! Always looks busy 👍

@@bergsinbali I've seen them all 👍
One thing I found in Bali is if you can speak a bit of the local language they love it, maybe in each of your video's you could introduce a new word
That’s a fun idea, Andrew! Thanks for your suggestion 🤩
How bout a day trip to Nusa Lombogen for lunch
We must get to the islands!! Thanks for your suggestion 🤩

Which is your absolute favourite Warung in Sanur😊
Hands down… Warung Mbok Luh in Jln Pungutan 👍👍
Thank you, will give it a try next time I'm in Sanur.

Consider Segara Beach hotel, Prama hotel, Swastika bungalows. People say Swissbel is good for kids too.
Prime Plaza but not as convenient location.

Hmmm… check out Cafe Smorgas. They host dancing (salsa maybe?) 🤩
Hi Berg, what did you end up doing with your tooth , I'm curious as I'm there in Feb looking at visiting a dentist cheers
Dental work is booked for January!! Going with Rejuvie Sanur
@bergsinbali ok cool I'm very interested I'm looking at getting some implants possibly done good luck with it and have a good one👍
Where do you guys go for dental work
@@bergsinbali thank you I was thinking next time I’m in Bali I would go get clean and I think I might need a couple of fillings
@@bergsinbali my hubby got top implants done at 911 in Denpasar they did a fabulous job and so cheap
