I think the decapitating of the head particularly as we seen from both Godzilla and Kong is a sign of showing dominance and in some cases of ego showing superiority.
That's a possibility. And if that was the case, then it would mean that Godzilla showed more respect after beating Kong in GVK. Allowing him to keep his head and die in peace seems to be the utmost respect the G man has ever given a titan of his own proportions.
@@williamthehuntsman Actually If I remember correctly I think Godzilla just left Kong abruptly because he sensed Mecha Godzilla another challenger & rushed over to fight him
Pertaining to the unnecessary treatment of Ghidorah's final head, after Godzilla had incinerated his body and other heads, it may have actually been necessary, the reason for this could be that due to Ghidorah's regenerative properties, which Godzilla may or may not have been aware of, he could theoretically regenerate his lost body from his neck stump beneath his head and Godzilla did not want to allow that possibility to become a reality. It may seem ridiculous, but Ghidorah has at least been hinted to be an alien creature and if that is the case, his biology, being potentially different from the organisms on earth, may allow him to perform such a feat. Also the head in Godzilla's jaws (final head) was still very much alive, which alone could have prompted Godzilla to completely obliterate it. Its very possible that there may be more decapitations in the future of the monsterverse.
He knew this and took the time to finish him in the most humiliating way possible he never had to do this he could have killed him by just blasting head of still around because I’m assuming that he made sure the middle head survived the stomp.
I think Godzilla was fully aware of Ghidorah's regeneration given their history and I doubt he didn't notice the head he ripped off in Mexico suspiciously returning in Boston.
@@EvolvedTitanSlayer-edits I would have enjoyed of the "Ichi" head survived, sprouted wings and got out of dodge...then in a post credit scene we show him growing back his body 'somewhere on some planet/planetoid' orbiting near the sun; when abruptly his traditional coworker 'the cyborg chicken' puts in an appearance.
Yup in that sense it was. (Video displays a note that says that it was unnecessary in the sense that the head was placed inside godzillas mouth. Godzilla could’ve incinerated it while it was on the floor, but he took it and held it inside his jaws)
Fun fact- tug-marks and feeding-bites show that the Tyrannosaurus also had a habit of ripping off heads! Though this was specifically to get at the tasty meat behind the head of a Triceratops or other large ceratopsian- horned dinosaurs needed a lot of muscle and powerful jaws to hold up and fuel the growth of their massive heads, so a post-mortem head removal would make it easy to get at an apparently-prized snack of jaw muscles and neck meat when the tyrannosaur's kill was running low on easier meat.
I always figured it was a way to save energy and make sure the enemy stayed down. Cause a lot of Titans are ridiculously durable but unlike Ghidorah most can't just shrug off head loss.
Decapitation may also be one of the more reliable ways of putting down a Kaiju, in most versions, Kaiju can recover from gruesome a devastating wounds and take enormous amounts of punishment. Decapitation may be one of the only ways to know for certain that a rival is dead, and when asserting authority, it's not just a trophy or way to humiliate the victim, but also a way to show to other Kaiju that the challenger is dead and not gonna make a come back.
I think decapitation is the choice for killing because it's probably the most efficient way to kill an organism that's already incredibly resistant to most attacks.
This was a very fun video, and I thank the whole team for taking the time to create it. I do believe that we're going to see more head injuries in the next movie and probably some decapitations, but personally I think it would be interesting to see the main antagonist be killed by something other then a decapitation. On another note, I know I've mentioned this in at least a couple comments in the past, but one other reason for Titans decapitating their enemies could be sustenance. Granted we only saw this with Kong after he killed the Warbat, but brains would be a nutrient-rich source of food for Titans in need of a meal. In humans at least, around 20% of our nutrition is concentrated in the brain because of how vital it is to keeping us functioning. I'm not sure if this would be a main reason for removing the head or just an additional benefit, but it's something that I feel should be mentioned at least once.
Most animals, including humans, still can fight without limbs. Some reptiles can even regenerate their limbs even when severed, so taking off the head is the easiest way of a sure fatality. Ghidora’s head was taken off because that was the main head that controlled the other two on its body so it couldn’t regenerate like the other head did when Godzilla first chewed off the head in the first battle between the two.
Of course, they always aim for the head, unlike Thor in IW. 😏 Edit: Guys, calm down. It's just a meme, y'all. Don't take it so seriously, man. 😩 Edit 2: 1K! Mom, I'm so famous!!
The Legendary Titans have human level intelligence. They don't think like us, but they think on a similar level. The fact that Kong can speak in ASL is a huge give away. Godzilla repeatedly making moral decisions, and Mothra outright refusing to kill humans lends further credence to the idea that they're more than just animals.
Since we know that King’s used prices of Goji’s to build things like the axe, imagine the the Kongs learning Decaptition from the Iwi and wearing the heads of titans they defeat.
5:17 It's not unnecessary. Probably the only way to truly defeat him. Remember, Ghidorah can regenerate, so making sure nothing remained is the best way of doing so. Unsure if one head can regenerate an entire body, but it could take time but that time can end up becoming another fight in the future. Not to mention that Godzilla had a rivalry with Ghidorah. He kind of deserved it when you know what he did. Basically took Godzilla's title as king, almost destroyed the planet if Godzilla didn't interfere, Killed Mothra (yes I know she can reincarnate but still), and basically hurt him in the process. From making him fall over 50 feet in the air, to getting bodied and pulled, and thrown, Ghidorah's execution was brutal and you may call it unnecessary, but to Godzilla, he deserved it. 6:01 It's completely natural for King Kong to use a head like a trophy. Gorillas are very territorial and very aggressive, and knowing about that Godzilla like skull where the throne room is down in Hollow Earth, it'll make sense that Kong inherited that trait. Be in mind that Godzilla and Kong were at war with their own kind. So setting example for decapitating heads as trophies is reasonable to do.
he meant unnecessary in the sense that if they didn't actively go for the head like actual wildlife then Godzilla wouldn't have humiliated Ghidorah like that. A note in the video at that time explains this
I always thought it was more of an intimidation tactic. Because of how brutal some of these fights can be, the Titans wear themselves out. Godzilla had to catch his breath after killing the first muto and then took a nap after the second, and kong even after getting a little jolt had to sit down and rest after killing mechagodzilla. So to allow themselves some rest maybe through some form of evolution, they developed this violent form of killing a creature to ward off any other titans from challenging them if they saw either the act of or the result.
The game youre speaking of is Primal Rage You play as gods who take the form of big gorillas snakes and dinosaurs and fight eachother. Theres fatalities in it that are both cartoony and gorey. Too bad the sequel was never finished and it never took off as a series.

Well, I was wondering if there were anymore you didn’t talk about or know about at the time. Personally, I would love it if MechaG could shoot the hollow earth energy he used for his punch, kick, and knee could shoot out of his hands, and swords, among other things. They would be so cool! And if there is none, maybe you can talk about what MechaG could’ve been if they kept it in development/concept arts. Thanks!
Hey GojiCenter, I've just had a thought. Have you ever looked into making videos about the monster hunter franchise? It's got a lot of really cool monsters in it that would fit right in with the regular content here. Its got everything from dinosaurs, dragons and even kaiju in the series that I think would be awesome if they were covered in the really fancy editing style going on with your videos.
I think we might see them continue, but given that the Scar King is a human like Titan I don't think he's going to have it happen to him, since they want to keep the film in the PG-13 rating range
I have a few theories: Number 1. It is possible that a neck kill stops some titans regenerating if there are any in the monster verse. Number 2. is that the titans do this to show their dominance and power. Number 3. Some smart species like the Kongs could have kept the skull’s as trophies such as in the kong palace in GvK. And finally number 4. It looks cool for the camera.
Possible 4th reason: titans are extremely durable, regenerative, and can have wildly different biology from specimen to specimen. An injury that might seem fatal to one creature may be shakin off easily by another. Maybe the titans who have survived to the modern day have adapted to decapitating their opponent as to assure them that their enemy is truly, fully dead. And a titan that can survive being decapitated...well that's one to watch out for.
You guys should do videos on the monster hunter series! They have the best fictional creature designs ranging from realistic and plausible wyverns to epic elder dragons with kaiju proportions! It is one of my favorite video game series and i would love if you covered it!

Another example of human brutality that relates to the Kaiju in the monsterverse: Kahn Krum, one of Bulgarias greatest rulers, decapitated the Vizantian ruler Nikifor and made a cup out of his skull.
Taking account that titans have existed longer than humans, I think that humans might’ve learned to decapitate heads from the titans (this is obviously in the monsterverse if humans had the same timeline IRL) but the thing is that humans because of their intelligence and able to observe and take notes and stuff and because they had symbiosis with titans would’ve learned to and how to decapitate heads.

I have a feeling seeing that most Kaiju get decapitated by alphas, Scar King may get in the fun of decapitating heads, or he's probably done so already
Fun fact. Khan Krum ruler of the first Bulgarian Empire defeated Nikephoros I the emperor of the Byzantine Empire and decapitated him. But it doesn't end there. He also turned Nikephoros' skull into a silver plated cup to drink from. That's how Krum got his nickname ,,the Fearsome".
Amazing video! And just a quick question, could yall maybe do a video on Titanus Shimu since he’ll be in GxK. And I’m pretty sure he is the first ever titan.
The human part makes sense. Since Mark found out that Emma was using humans to make the orca’s signature and we’ve seen that the titans display human intelligence and emotions. Godzilla showed sadness when mothra died and fear when Mecha G was about to finish him off. Ghidorah showed curiosity, anger, annoyance, and aggression. Rodan showed amusement when the fighter jets started to back off before he used his barrel roll. Another thing is that Rick understood that Emma used humans because we’re ruthless, viscous, carnivores (this may be different but this is what I remember) which does fit with some of the titan’s behavior.

Another thing is that Rick understood that Emma used humans because we’re ruthless, viscous, carnivores (this may be different but this is what I remember) which does fit with some of the titan’s behavior.
Bayverse Optimus Prime finds everything in this video perfectly fine and 100% justified and reasonable.
Well that was a great to start the intro (let me ignore the way that the fourth wall breaked) 0:00
