speaking to a camera for a living is very similar to speaking to a crowd. he has had lost of practice writing for his videos and lots of videos to master his inflection and pacing. the only real difference here is the nerves of facing a crowd but someone with Mark’s personality (one that loves attention) that shouldn’t be too much of an issue for him

i'm about to graduate so i have no idea if grad hats are lightweight but if they are, i feel like it would've been better to have a much tinier, blue drone to carry the hat 😅 this way it would really look like it was flying on its own :) still a really cool idea for a graduation tho !
Gen II should incorporate the frame of the hat and use it as a chassis for the drone, battery can be hidden below the frame where the head usually is since it’s not meant to be worn, and the button that holds the tassle could be retrofitted with a 360 camera instead! Lastly instead of flying up separately it should be timed with the toss at the end so 360 video can be captured from the center of the crowd! 🙃

Im sure he just wanted to make sure it went off without a hitch… adding unnecessarily complex components could have been detrimental. Edit: drones are a well researched/well known tech and it’s been engineered very efficiently over the decades it’s been around. Therefore they’re less likely to make mistakes than a new specialized version for aesthetics would have been. When you’re flying something with fast moving parts over a crowd, you want to know it’s reliable!
