Yanni's Music in this video:
Who is listening to this wonderful music by Maestro Yanni in 2024???
انا اسمع لها الان
Me .. . I listen to all Yanni's music. (☯‿☯)
💜🎶🎶🎶🥰🙏♾
The battle of violins increased students" desire to be a musician. Even the band members were in awe.
New from Algeria ❤
Something totally special happened on this concert . It was never outdated , never equaled . Never ever .
Karen plays with passion, Rohani plays with virtuosity, what an explosive battle! More like a conversation really. Each beautifully express their individuality in a masterful performance. Bravo!!!
Pure respect
Karen also has SKILL with her passion. Thank You
Well said!
Asombrosos la " batalla de Violínes🎻" te vuela la cabeza 👏🏻👏🏻
And at the ecnd, blowing sincere kisses showed that BOTH their talent shined not just one of them. Too bad Linda Yanni and Linda broke up!!
I bought this DVD in 93 , 20 years later I remember every mesmerizing sequence and transition. The percussion, the duel for me will never be duplicated. This music is literally etched in my soul! I’m 60 years old but feel so alive after this 🙏🏼
I am doing the same thing. I am 88 and can play my imanginering instruments to every beat
Honestly me too
The dueling violins of Maestro Shardad Rohani and Miss Karen Briggs is one of THE MOST SPECIAL THINGS in ALL of Yanni's music...I'll never forget how blown away I was the first time I was blessed with hearing this tune...My Gosh...Nothing but absolute MASTERS of their craft here! It's AMAZING music!
in all of music 👍👍
I watched them ‘live’ and they ARE AMAZINGLY GOOD
I discovered Yanni, and through Yanni, I found Karen Briggs. She's an absolute beast who adds a unique vibe to the violin.
So much fun. Can't imagine what it's like to have that level of virtuosity.
@@collinsbuko she shreds the violin..absolute awesomeness
Over the past 20 odd years I've listened and watched so many version of this song. No disrespect to Mary Simpson, Ann Marie Calhoun, Samvel Yerminyan and all the other brilliant violinists who performed this song but the duel in this version has always been the most special one for me. Thank you for sharing this video in this quality.
Totally agree! I don't have all of the History that you do, but they Killed it!!! Perfect Combination!!!
Even the camera angle is best.
Vbvm
Karen Brigges is the best!!!!!!
Is this not an original composition by Yanni?
The two violinists were having a lot of fun, while I was burning brain cells processing their level of talent. Simply incredible!
I really love that battle love this type of music
Mrs Karen and the man violin player the bass player the whole other great players and the greatYani what super show packed wow
@@JeffGrimes-bo4cc the man is Shardad Rohani! The pride of Iran🇮🇷❤️
Everybody talks about the violin duel. Nobody talks about the percussionist vs drummer
Both are great! Love this song because of both!
There's no vs, is WITH the drummer.
It's not a bad thing... they are the ones that are most in evidence. THEY ARE ALL VERY GOOD, MAESTRO YANNI INCLUDED, OF COURSE!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌻🌻🌻🌼🌼🌼❤️🇵🇹
🎉🎉🎉
I love how the conductor smiles at the lead violinist because knows he's in for a tough competition. Amazing showdowns even with the percussionists!
Listening for 2 decades out of my 32 years of life
❤️❤️
from 2001 to Nov. 2023, and still listening
Same here
So grateful that my dad introduced this to me when I was a kid. This is real music! The passion everyone of these performers portrays brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful
Same. My stepmom introduced me. We saw Yanni in concert when they came to perform in Pensacola, Fl back in 95. They were promoting this concert. This and the soundtrack to Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is my favorite. I listen to this all the time. And yes I do love their passion.
My grandparents got me into Yanni! Amazing orchestra!
@@TheGamerNerd025 oo
yeah, so beautiful the way they're playing, each of them.
My dad introduced him to me as well and I can't help falling in love
iranian and american musicians duo, music brings everyone together. Thanks yanni.
Love all Yanni's concerts. Those 2 violinists are absolutely incredible!!!
yanni's sos unicoo
😊
OMG, What a PASSIONATE performance by these two violinists!
Such an honour to see Shahrdad Rowhani as one side of the violin duet.
So proud ...
Yanni…. The World’s Musician ❤
the best comment i read about Mr. yanni so far
The first time I heard this on my television, I walked into my living room and my 15 year old daughter was sitting in front of the TV totally mesmerized with tears flowing down her cheeks.
I know the feeling.
Me 3😊
So
SO
Thank you so much for your unconditional love and support..I truly appreciate you my dear fan❤️❤️🦅🦅..where are you watching from?
This song is so beautifully composed by yanni that despite listening it more than 1000 times I still to hear it another million times
Yanni does nothing it's the talented musicians that do it All!!!!!💯💯💯
@@sallunetta7333 if he composed it. he have everything with it.
@@sallunetta7333 you couldn't be more wrong! Have you ever tried to compose an actual classical music piece???? Something like what Yanni has composed?? Give that a try and then come back and try to make that petit argument.
I do the same..i will always enjoy it!
Me too! You've a taste for good music, I love Competition and when the conductor of the royal philamonic duels violins with Yannis weapon if you will!!!!! Kate. Damn . I can watch and listen too this one 1,and forever too. ;. )
The best Jazz/Classical crossover in history.
This is by far the best version I’ve ever heard!
Kudos to everyone! Outstanding!!!
The best performance of "Within Attraction" ever,
Thanks to Yanni and the conductor, Shahrdad Rouhani,
hHi, I'm glad to meet you, can we be friends
این یعنی ما پیر شدیم؟ جوون بودیم این کنسرت برگزار شد روحانی روانیمون کرد
Me sigo quedando con la versión de Acapulco 2009 😬
couldn't agree more and the showdown and back & forth between the violin leads is absolutely AMAZING!
The thing with Yanni's music is that all the musicians automatically get a smile on their faces when they play it - and so does the rest of the world for decades to come.
The best Violin Duet of all time!!!!!!!!
I remember a night long ago while emersed in a painting, not paying attention to the TV in the back ground.. I looked up but only after this beautiful music coming from my television caught my attention. I'd never heard anything like it before. But even at 23 I could appreciate it for its intelligence and complexity. This person was able to bring together different genres using unique instruments from different cultures flawlessly creating a grand palette of musical compositions to choose from that would satisfy any mood. At the next intermission I soon learned it was yanni presenting his latest concert, Live at the Acropolis on PBS during one of their fundraisers. For over 30 years he has been played an innumerable amount of times and still, I never tire of hearing his compositions. He accompanied me to my art classes for 6 years because his music does not interfere with the creative process it promotes it. My kids heard it from in the womb to graduation wiring their brain for success. My oldest surprised me with a tattoo on his arm that reads, "within Attraction." It obviously made the impression I was hoping for. And still to this day I listen with the same enthusiasm as I did when I was 23 and first gazed my eyes upon him.
This is the perfect version of “within attraction” ❤
Correct
This is the _only_ version of “within attraction"
There is a newer version - and, it is superior! I know, incredible...
The other live version is perfect :D
Yeah
the smile of the lady playing violin is amazing
The Female Violinist for sure steals the Show, the Conductor is Obviously a accomplished Violinist in his own right but she has one of those Touches By God kind of talents...no doubt she worked at it and became obsessed with it, that's really the only way to get to that point but she really does have a God given talent...
Karen Briggs is her name.. she has her own channel
But I love how conductor smile🤩
This is still by far the best performance of Within Attraction ever! Not saying others were not good by no means. But this is as perfectly stellar as it gets. Plus the venue is such an epic backdrop with the lighting. I’m still in awe watching this.
i agree
The violin duel is so passionate. Im literally crying. Yanni where have you been all my life
Best version of Within Attraction. I've been waiting for this to drop to youtube (in a good quality) for about 10 years now.
1993-2023…..still amazing ❤
I'm in love with that woman. What an amazing way to enjoy and feel music. So much respect for her.

The BEST version of Within Attraction.
The obvious mutual respect between the violinist gets me! Loved it!
I remember watching this with my mother when this concert first appeared on PBS. This concert and the Tribute concert continues to be his best work. From Yanni himself, musicians, Lady Briggs violinist, the awesome percussionist, orchestra and let's not forget the conductor gave a performance of a lifetime. Thank you all for the joy and your passion of music.
He's not only the best. He is God's gift to us, the Lord of Music, the giver of peace to our souls, the changer of our lives, a pure soul. Our one and only beloved maestro
✨💖🎶 Yanni 🎵🌹🙏
I was there in 1993. what a fantastic venue honoring modern greek music...Bravo..
Power of Music... Listening this song using headphones, seating quiet, eyes shut... By the end of this song there were tears in my eyes, due to ecstasy.... Beyond words... More than 25+ yrs... Same result every time...
I live in the USA & I’m just discovering Yanni! I love all the musicians, especially the bass player & the violin player, she’s amazing!
Her name is Karen Briggs. She is absolutely talented.
NOW you can start LIVING. 😊
Oh I'm sorry you've only found him a year ago! He's so fabulous I got to see him in the states! I even yelled out Yanni you rock, and he said back I rock huh hahaha! Oh talk about that will be a treasure forever for me!!
I love how Yanni incorporated this fantastic Conductor into the song with his violin skills. I've never ever seen this before this video in all my concert attendances. This is what I call making maximum use of Everyone's skills and talents.
From Iraq, the greatest music in the world for me. Greetings to the musician Yanni❤❤
This is the first song I heard years ago and fell in love with Yanni ❤️❤️❤️
The creativity, performance and passion is exquisite!
How can one not be in love with @Yanni after watching this video? ❤️❤️❤️
It’s my honor that Shahrdad Rohani is from my country.
The most beautiful music I've heard in my 55 years.
It's half of 2023 and I'm still right here listening to these masterpieces by @Yanni himself
Even after all these years... this is still one of the most breathtakingly beautiful performances I've ever seen. x
Shardad Rohani was amazing in this concert ❤️
The best musical duel ever. But the amazing part is the anticipation of the rest of the orchestra for the battle.
I’ve always thought this was the symmetry of life in motion

OMG, me too! What a blessing!
Nice
Yanni inspires the timelessness of music in people, including his band
What ? You grew up with this? Blessed, blessed !
Medicine for the soul. That's what Yanni's music is
I agree, and have been self-medicating with Yanni's uplifting and inspirational music for over thirty years. Beautiful musician, beautiful human being.

He's a true gem one of a kind a rare diamond💎..
As I sit in rehab with a broken leg and pneumonia, that is just what he is.
I recently heard the studio recording of this on a camping trip, for the first time. I LOVE the original synth but I am so amazed at how much the strings add. Every time Yanni closes his eyes, I FEEL THAT! Magnificent!!!!
20 + years later, I’m still listening 😍
I love this one too! Karen Briggs and the Conductor smile and seem to be talking with their violins. Can't get enough of your music. Love you Yanni and Peace.
Bellisimo gracias Bendiciones
Shahrdad Rouhani was the conductor, a musician and artist in his own right
@@sunizach No doubt. The whooole band/orchestra was just Fantastic and awe inspiring! I wore this cd & video out when it first was produced.
"Live At The Acropolis " as a whole is so amazing album and this piece is no exception! Thank you very much Yanni, be safe and healthy
I used to watch this as a 4 year old child every morning on national tv in my country Suriname. This song has always been the inspiration in every step of my life ! I am turning 32 this year .
Yanni ❤
The best violin duel ever.
In this concert I really liked the passionate flirting of two violins !!fantastic playing!!👏🎻🎻🔥
Hi
If I had one elixir of life I'd give it to Yanni. May his music live forever.
I watched this version and the newer version....this is by far superior. This version naturally blends together like puzzle pieces to perfection. The other version had the impossible task of being compared to this. They tried to put their own unique twists, but they fell short. Karen and Shahrdad struggle and push each other to musical paradise....BRAVO!!!
is there a newer version? where can I see it? been a fan for decades
Live at the Acropolis is like a beautiful dream❤️
Easily one of the best vilolin performances ever. I love watching her dance while she is waiting to play the next best part. This video and song always brings tears to my eyes. The passion in this song is amazing.
ditto!
I love that is so clear that she's having so much fun but at the same time is very concentrated.
Yanni is a lot better than John Tesh musically speaking.
I thought I was the only one who cried. The music just gets into my soul when the two violists play off each other it's so moving. It's like hearing each other's hearts speaking to one another.
@@ginieramirez3231 Exactly!!
This is the best version of 'Within Attraction'
5:16 THE violin "duel" between Karen Briggs & Shardad Rohani is stunning.
Even after 25 years I still enjoy watching this concert. Every piece on this album was a masterpiece. But the violin duel was always my favourite. And the look of Yanni face at the end of it says it all.
Goosebumps!!! Karen Briggs, true Goddess of the violin! They all killed it. That violin duel was epic!!
yesh " u gogirl Karen Briggs!"🤗💜🤍❤🧡💛💛💙
I totally agree with @Nancy Aram
3:11 is her best moment
The drums solo!!! oh my God
I loved watching their faces!! They were trying their hardest to outdo each other. But the respect and pride on each other faces was amazing to see!
Hi! Happy Monday Yanni! 😊 This is a favorite with the “conversation” between Karen and Shahrdad Rohani! Thanks for being with us again! 🌹
Dear Phyll what a great surprise...love for quarantine 💖
Yes Phill, it really is a perfect description of the dialogue between 🎻 impeccable violins both, and in each version, I love that synchronicity with the touch of wonderful complicity, and I enjoy it over and over again. Thank you!! YANN ❤️ and to you Phill for your instinctual feeling, that same one, is the transmission that I perceive 🥰🎻 Hug 🤗 giant for you and for YANN !! 🇦🇷🌞🌹

kudos to the sound engineers, there are only 2 violins playing but they sound richer than a full orchestra .
May asist ans profisor.
It's not just that, it has more to do with the mastery of the ancient Greek theater's architecture that maximizes acoustics.
Simply put, blew me off of my chair when I first heard this song, it still does. Karen Briggs is Outrageous and fun to watch. Definitely the Best Violinist I've ever heard!
My mom had this on VHS when I was a kid. So grateful she would always play it and introduced this to me at such a young age. Truly incredible music, absolutely beautiful. The talent of everyone is mind-blowing, especially Karen Briggs !
Everything is magical.. Yanni.. the bass so underrated... The drums duel and the violinists .. straight from heaven
No words can express what I am feeling. Only enjoy :)
Yess... He is my favourite Yanni ❤️
Where would we be without great music like this?
Now that's what I call a "duel" 🎻! Just Fantastic!!! 👏🏾
Don’t forget the drummer.
That was outstanding! Especially the solo drums and violins!
What a performance!
ENCORE !!!
The girl is SERIOUS about her bizness!!!! Boss Lady Karen!! At 5:59 she started to channel her inner soul sister vibe, and it was ON!!!
So many years have been passes, I have watched this part for like a hundred times, and every single time I get fascinated like the first day by the drummists and the unrepeatable violin battle part. So proud to have Shahrdad Rouhani in the list of my country's artists❤

I've said it before. This is my favorite song of my lifetime (68 years now) and I watch it often. It's not just a duel between drummers and violinists. It's a sort of theatrical play depicting a lovers' quarrel and breakup. Watch again with that in mind. Sure, the musicians are fantastically talented, but try to figure out what the composer had in mind.
I grew up with this song, RIP father .
I just love this one, so beautifully choreographed and the duel is invigorating! This one has always been my favorite 🥰🤩
