    This isn't necessarily genius in itself but the talent, ability, and drive to notice and nitpick at all these seemingly small things until they reach the highest standard of quality really makes the overall product, well, a work of art.

      @@steveburnside5395 yoshinari is an extremely experienced animation director. Ngl i agree he's a genius, but the actual job being shown in this clip is just him correcting the body mechanics of an animator who's so new they didnt know how to pose a throwing animation. That's the minimum requirement to be an animation director. So he's actually right in saying that this specific video isnt like pure genius or anything. If anything, calling this video genius is misplaced worship. If this level of quality was a standard in the west too, i wonder if people would actually respond that intensely to a simple correction.

    • @doktorfish6143
      @doktorfish6143 3 роки тому +1

      @@steveburnside5395 but i will also say that most studios in anime wont have somebody go over and make notes of the entire animatic in a room full of people. That's a pretty smart way to prevent yourself from having to repeat the same things to multiple people

      @@steveburnside5395 im uh. Im not like, mad dude. And no i didnt make that up, im an animator. Its a pretty simple action, but it still takes a bit of professional experience to be able to animate stuff like that. He was probabaly an artist in his first year. In my experience, it takes about a year working at a studio like that before you can reliably do more intense stuff without lots of corrections. And it isnt hard to believe either, this clip is from the little witch academia movie documentary. Trigger was still only like 3 years old at the time so whoever did that cut was probs a new hire. Not tryna shit on a new artist, thats just how it be. Shits hard

    wouldn't it be cheaper for them to this digitally? they do a lot of paper work. not that i dislike it.. i find it very impressive and respectful in its own way. it's just that it would make more sense to be digital.

    • @RayanMADAO
      @RayanMADAO  7 років тому +21

      Some Person cheaper in what way, its the workflow they're used to and is standard in the industry, would be hard to change, and most prefer drawing on paper. But there are some animators drawing digitally too now especially newer ones

    • @someperson2500
      @someperson2500 7 років тому +2

      Mayo taizou well the cost should be obvious i think. but i can definitely understand if this is the method they prefer. i have a tablet but still prefer drawing traditionally

    • @someperson2500
      @someperson2500 7 років тому +4

      Mayo taizou also i wonder if they ever use human figures as references. this particular clip suggests they don't and that's just insane what with all the crazy perspectives they do

    • @RayanMADAO
      @RayanMADAO  7 років тому +15

      Im sure they do, during the production of one punch man the director was joking about how many muscular male figures they had for reference

    • @someperson2500
      @someperson2500 7 років тому +3

      Makes sense else they would have like inhumane talent.
      I just wished they shared more of that to reassure me that they aren't wizards and I a lowly scrub. :P
