Does the same intake for a predator 459/420 also fit this engine? I’m considering buying one. I have a 459 right now but I’m about to take it off my surface drive and throw it back on my longtail
Ok, brand new to surface drive motors. I just assembled a 7hp Duromax featherlite and a 16hp Duromax featherlight. I put them in the water for the first time. On both motors as soon as the prop starts to grab water it choked the engine out and it dies. I can eventually get up to TopSpeed by holding the prop out of the water  and easing the prop into the water while easing the throttle. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Would I have to re jet or can I just add this exhaust with everything else stock?
@@JakeHukill-c5k you can just add the exhaust. But it won't give you a power increase without changing intake and jets.

Maybe it’s the carb
