Do you take commissions from queens ?
I would love to see you work with or colab with Micara Tewers! she is quirky like you but kinda odd animal lover haha you guys have similar design tastes I feel! Have fun love your content either way!
The link is not opening why
Do you know that there are trolls that are scammers. They commented on my comment that I wrote. Then they wrote that I won a new year giveaway . I was suposed to write you on nicegram. Then they ask me questions. They kept calling me an amazing subscriber. Then they send another profile from a FedEx imployee. They want to have my address, gender and age. I found that very suspicious. Maybe you could comment on this
Barbie could never, you've single handedly gave Barbie the glow up that we didn't even know she needed.
940 likes an no comments lemme me fix that✨
Yessss
U already have 1k likes in one day wow
Well deserved should I say

I just gave my 3 year old grandson a Barbie for Christmas after his mom told me he wanted a "Darby"! I'd be so proud if he turned out like you, Gunnar.
My heart!!!🖤
wow that is so cool!!!!
You have mental disorder
I think is amazing what you do my parents would be mad at me for saying or even seeing this but honestly I think peopl should poot them self out there!!! It's amazing I'm so happy you do this giving hope and inspiring people!!!!
@@fukyt1517 you can shut it 😠
Two of my school friends in elementary had this experience. He wanted to play with Barbies but despite having great parents, he just didn't feel like he could ask for them.
She, meanwhile, had a really rigid mother who would ONLY let her play with Barbies and "girls only!" toys. For example, she was not allowed to have Legos. 🤯
So she would sneak some Barbies into a bag, and walk over to his house, and they would each have the playtime they were longing for.
Wow that is just the perfect swap and I feel sorry for them especially the girl.
That is the sweetest story, I'm glad these smart kids found the loophole & were able to play & be kids.
I can’t imagine a childhood without Lego’s 😭😭😭
Very sad
@@katylove3174Yes.😞
As a kid I had hardly any hair, it just didn't grow until I was about 6 and I'd idolise my Barbie's stunning hair. Now as an adult I'm suffering hair loss and I looked to my beloved Barbie and got an idea- I'm getting full on Barbie hair and bought my first blonde wig. I feel beautiful in my wig 😍
Congratulations!
You must feel like beautiful Barbie. Good luck
I think it's so kind that you are so inclusive with your wide range of sizes. Thank you so much.
It's sooo rare which makes him even more amazing
Yes, after having mentally survived heroin chic in the 90s this really teared me up.
I swear my Barbies has a top like this. I has a Barbie dress that was all these different shades of pink and purple tulle and had a sweetheart neckline, strapless, and it was ripped. It looked very punk rock - but like Cinderella’s stepsisters got a hold of it. It was my favorite dress and I still want one for myself!! Btw as someone who used to be a size 32 and now a size 12 - thank you for being so size inclusive. Bravo!!
congratulations on such a huge accomplishment!! I wish to be like that as well but I have no idea where to even start
Holy cow congrats on the weight loss!
@@user-fy9xl9eu8c idk what the original OP did, but my husband does keto for his diabetes and you'd be amazed how fast you lose the weight. He hasn't lost much due to the meds he's on for his diabetes but his health checks and blood work went from very poor (like he even woke up with blood in his eyes and partially blind) and other major complications from the diabetes to holy shit much healthier all thanks to the keto.
Low carb high fat.
Get rid of those sugars and carbs and eat more veggies. Cut out soda/sweet tea. The bread and pasta stuff also. It's hard but I promise you adapt to it quickly.
One more thing: start doing some kind of exercise. It doesn't have to be much, even a 5 minute walk helps. Repetition doesn't help. Like I used to think bc I go to work and damn near running for 8hrs is adding to the exercise. . . No. It's like your body expects it. So do something different and add to that. I can't explain it well but point being just add some new exercises to your routine. If you already exercise then great but do something different. It breaks the Repetition and helps burn more calories and fat.
@@JodiLeaSnakeQueen eat bread, just eat better proteins instead of meat (especially pork and red meat, or at least stop eating meat with every meal because it is limiting and shitty for you), and no processed sugars (fruit is always fine, HUGE difference in fructose and processed sugar) and no soda or alcohol and very little greasy things (instead use healthy fats like olive oil)
I love how you're helping to make a whole generation of boys and girls feel empowered to embrace themselves for who they are, as they are.
So heartwarming to hear this! Almost cried. Sending you lots of love, you are so brave! Your younger self deserves all the love!
As a mother this really hit me, hope everyone is able to feel happy and free as you! I love this, thank you!
I used to make Barbie clothes out of the material scraps that would get from my mother, who was a seamstress. I passed them down to my little sister, who passed them down to my niece, who gave them to my daughter. Most of the Barbie clothes made it full circle back to me through the family. They were surprised when they found out that I made the clothes lol
Whenever i hear seamstress i remember Barbie princess and the pauper
It was my favourite movie
This is so precious. Little you would be so proud!
This is why we need to erase gender norms for children and let them have all the freedom to decide what they want to wear, want to play with, what haircut they want, etc. It makes me sad that you were so afraid to ask for a Barbie but I completely get it. I’m glad you could make your inner child happy with this!
FACTS
Absolutely. Although, I was allowed to pick my own hairstyles and the results were... not great 😂😂 Looking back it's a funny memory though.
You are just truly an artist. I’m blown away by literally everything you create
Your willingness to share is a gift. Thank you for paving the way.❤
What totally amazes me is your talent and also skills - not just in “designing and inventing” these garments, but also your ability to make what you design. I love how much you think outside the box with your designs but also achieve the “fluffy” parts that women love. Not to mention the kindness you show for people in sewing for them. And that most of the things have elegance too.
The range of sizes alone tells that you know that nobody should feel left out Re their dreams. Thank you so, so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I love how you kindly look at the camera intermittently while sewing. I feel like you're looking at me, makes me feel seen and loved.
I really love that part too
Wow that's what I was going to comment too. I absolutely love the gorgeous smiles and it is very awesome!
My heart breaks for the little boys who don’t get to play with dolls like they want to. It’s my mission not to deprive my son of any joys just because of his genitals. I’m glad to see you are healing those wounds as a grown up by fulfilling your desires.
Those are the most beautiful selves I have ever seen in my life they are the perfect Barbie sleeves
Always love for Gunnar and your compassion with FASHION 💐
Your gramma was so blessed to take time to teach you. She is proud of you. You do magnificent work. Thanks for posting it all.
I hope you have lots of Barbies now. And her dream house. ❤
That’s so beautiful and so something Barbie would adore!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
I really admire your work, Gunnar, and I really appreciate that you make patterns for download in big girl sizes, too, as well as normal sizes. All of us fans of yours really appreciate you!
This man’s voice is more soothing then 90% of all ASMR
I feel like a can relate to you alot. Or at least your younger self. I’m female and a tomboy. I’ve always been more interested in more masculine clothes. But at the same time I am still a bit feminine. So I get how you felt ❤️
(I’m also planning on learning how to sew!)
Go for it. Unisex shirt patterns are brilliant as you can fit them to your shape and still have freedom of movement, unlike women's blouses. McCalls M6613 is my favourite.
@@michellebyrom6551 Thanks for the suggestion!
@michellebyrom6551 haha I ripped so many blouses when I was young because of the restricted movement they have.... like what am I supposed to not move my arms?
You are honoring that little version of you every time you take on a project like this. Even I could imagine him being absolutely giddy with this!
Your voice when you do the voiceovers is music to my ears, literal poetry
I love that you are still nurturing your inner child 🥰
Do you know how many little kids are currently growing up wanting to be exactly like you?
Keep shining.
Your creations are amazing! I also think that no one should be afraid to express who they truly are because if everyone was the same the world would be dull tbh but everyone has something awesome that adds unique aspects and color to the world like you!😆
This is the most beautiful, romantic, whimsical thing I've ever seen! It just screams holding hands on the ferris wheel, kisses on the cheek and butterflies in the stomach, young love. So perfect! 💓💞
I love your videos so much. They inspire me to keep making dresses. I may be (almost) 13 but I can already tell that I'm going places. You were the first person to inspire me to do dresses and I will always look up to you. Till next time friend!
Aww this is beautiful! I got my first sewing machine from my Grandma when I was around 11. I had no idea how to use it and my Mom did not sew at all! I was left to myself and my machine....I taught myself how to use it. And this was wayyyyyyyyy before the internet and UA-cam, (I'll be 40 this year.) I have over 12 machines now, 2 antique Wolf dress forms, and more yards of fabric than I'll ever use in my life!! I can sew just about anything, all by myself. If I can start with 1 machine and a dream, you can too!!! I'm not famous or wealthy from my talent, but I'm life, I'm one of the happiest people I know! Was it hard, and frustrating?Yes, Was it lonely bc none of my friends cared about sewing?Yes ( My friends laughed, only old ladies sew), but Proud of myself, you bet!! And the Haters are cackling always🤣don't give up, you never know wts in store for you☺️
That’s awesome, keep it up!
Can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL his manicure is? Like damn i want that😭😭
That lacy fabric on top is absolutely perfect! Very much reminds me of the kinds of dresses Barbie had.
I love that pattern, especially the goofy sleeves!
HONEY THAT DRESS IS GOALS I WANNA GET ON YOUR DRESS SEWING LEVEL
My 4 year old wanted a monster high doll and best believe he got one lol. That doll gets "eaten " by dinosaurs when she's not going on adventures with her fashionable backpack that my little one loves lol 😆
Love that!!!
Your sewing skills are so inspiring, I’m about to finish my first semester which means I’m almost done my sewing class for the year. I will be selecting it again for grade 10, I don’t think I’m going to make a career out of it, I have my sights set on opening a bakery but I love seeing how you are able to make such lovely designs and turn them into such beautiful clothes. I experienced the thrill of finishing a small sewing project myself and I can only imagine how happy and thrilling it must be when you finish yours
I didn't know that sewing was still taught in schools! I love sewing and one of my first projects WAY back in the day was a long maxi dress. Simple pattern, but I chose a plaid fabric, lol. I learned alot making that dress. Something else that has stuck with me through the years is why do I have to learn algebra etc? Well, everytime I sew or bake I'm using math. Go figure😂
One of my best guy friends growing up had Barbie dolls too! I think that everyone should be able to play with what ever toys they want! ❤
Barbie doesn't even have enough taste in fashion for this. This is amazing.
Wrong because I have seen a lot of similar designs that Barbie dresses has
I like the pattern!
Colors and my vibe, but it's so pretty for whoever's it is!
This is the reason I got my 4 year old a baby doll. He takes GREAT care of his baby and even got baby furniture for Christmas. Little boys need Barbies and baby dolls and little girls need swords and cars. I'm proud to be the mom and aunt that fills that need!
I love that you are a pattern creator AND vendor. It's generous.
the barbie dress of my ✨D R E A M S ✨ keep on sewing, gunnar :) your work is incredible
Official UA-cam spotted
That's funny, when I was a little girl I didn't care about dolls at all but I was given them and I saw advertisements for them and just how much of the toy aisle was dominated by Barbies. I thought I was meant to like it so I tried a few times but I never really understood how to play with them.
I was more interested in the clothes barbie wore and clothes in general. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to make beautiful clothing and costumes.
It's just funny to me that you really desired playing with Barbie but felt like you'd be judged if you did and I didn't want to play with Barbie but felt like I was meant to enjoy it, yet we both ended up falling in love with making clothing.
Beautiful story of being resilient and SUCCESSFULLY determined, and beautiful garment too!
One of my closest friends in high school loved Barbies so I bought him one as part of his Christmas present. I still remember him being excited and embarrassed.
You should be friends with Micarah Tewers! She is a fellow UA-cam creator who loves Barbie.
My mother refused us Barbies because she said they were too expensive (in the 1960s).
The real reason was she grew up dirt poor. She could not relate, and also was bipolar violent, abusive and sadistic.
My granddaughter has 17 Barbies and counting, with lots of clothes, including elaborate fancy dresses. I have broken the chain.
Sometimes your vids just make my eyes well up with tears. I’m so happy your life brings you such joy and those days when fear held you back are no more. Your face just radiates goodness and light. 🥰
This makes me sad for the little boy you were that you were made to feel that you couldn't be yourself. Free to be you and me's 'William wants a doll'/was written for you. Hugs to you!🤗🤗❤💙💚💛💜
I like the sound of your voice.
Edit: I‘m autistic, for reference.
This made me cry. It looks beautiful Gunnar ❤️
Barbie would be speechless and cry tears of happiness. Honestly you give Barbie vibes, I feel like you could make ANYTHING
It’s never too late - now is the perfect time for your first Barbie ❣️
You are so amazing. I love watching you create. The colors, patterns, design skill, and you beautiful voice describing it all. You are truly gifted. Not sure how I found your channel, but have loved everything you have shared. I grow up sewing and worked in a wonderful small fabric shop all through high school. It was so fun. You always bring the joy when you share your creations. You make this 70 year old from Minnesota so happy. Sending love & best wishes. 💜
Never have I ever seen something more Barbie princess. I love it! It takes me back to watching the Barbie movies as a young girl 🥲
I am so happy you are living your dream life of creation and sewing, teaching. Just adore all you do and create.!!!
I love your narration, your voice, your energy, your insight, your encouragement; it protrudes nothing but joy and happiness . Thank you my friend - thank you for being who you are and sharing it with your world! God bless you ❤❤❤
Honey, you have the most amazing talent, and I'm in awe of you just casually making your own patterns like no big deal.
I also love some of your tools! I had never thought about spacing for grommets before, but that was an awesome tool to ensure equal spacing!
Gunnar, I would really like to stress SO MUCH how lovely and wonderful it is that you make your beautiful clothing for so many different sizes ! I love that so many different women with different bodies can try your amazing designs and feel beautiful in them ❤️
Oh my goodness! This Barbie bustier is everything 😍
Such a beautiful sweet sentiment, made me happy cry!! Live your best life, I love your work!! 🥰🥰🥰
Never dissappoints
So Barbie!!! I think little Gunner would approve! ♥️
Wow, this reminds me of a dress I had for one of my Barbies as a little girl. Down to the sheer polkadot fabric
My Great Grand Aunt was far ahead of the times. In the hall closet were toys for everyone. She said girls can play with trucks and boys can play with dolls. This was 50 years ago. I loved her so much.
Your narration makes Me so happy.
The fact that you make the patterns all the way to 6xl is amazing
🥺🥺 I actually teared up a little, this is so sweet but sad. I'm glad that we can help nurture our inner child now but I wish we'd had that life being 100% ourselves too.
❤ how you yell your story in such delicate sophisticated pieces!
that corset is giving Diamond Castle vibes, I love it.
Aw, the little boy in you is happy! ❤
Most mind-blowing thing I've ever seen is that tool for evenly marking the grommet placement... Why have I never seen that before??? I've spent hours and hours measuring out button placement!! I'll never get that time back!
You are WONDERFUL! Thank you for being you!!! ❤❤❤
As a little girl in the 60s and 70s all I wanted was Legos & Tinker Toys & some hot rod cars. I was told those were toys for little boys and I couldn't have them. Good for you to design something you imagine Barbie would love. I design clothes and I do sew, but not because I wanted to learn how to sew, but because I was forced to learn when I didn't want to.
Be happy for who you are, judgement doesn't matter 😁
That is why the world needs to change. I hear your stories, and I can't stop thinking, "if It was my boy?"
I can't imagine him waiting something but afraid enough not to do it because of the judment I could have or from other people...
Thanks for all you do! It helps the world to change! You are so great and all You do is incredible!
Barbie would be so jealous, slay king
Just be you and do what you love 💗
Oh Gunnar!! I sure am glad you’ve come into your own! I absolutely love everything you do and the passion you have! It is inspiring me to do the same!
You are living your dream. Your younger you would be so excited with so much to look forward to. You are blessed.
You always bring out the best in fabrics ❤I really love watching you. I'd love to see you try designing ankara or any African print
Gunnar, Barbie would love it !
not only are you insanely talented, you have the most soothing voice!
I love that you are now living your truth. Shine on! ❤️
Wasn't expecting to LOVE the design and colors as much as I do ♡ it's beautiful!
I just LOVE to see how he enjoys making dresses so much, he looks so cute 😻
You make such beautiful things. I used to love playing with my brother’s with Legos and I also Loved my Barbies.
I'm glad you can now buy and dress up as many Barbie's as you want.
Also, thank you for all of the size options.
I’ve watched your work over the last year and a half and I love your talent. From simple to complex, it’s truly something to aspire to. Please keep sharing. Aloha❤
It looks sooooo pretty 😍
i was feeling pretty low and found this in my recommended shorts and i'm so happy i clicked on it, this made me really happy and emotional.
So for me, art is technique to perfection, creativity and the ability to impact an audience - to create or influence a mood - LOVE YOUR ART! ...and your journey :)
You are so amazing! I hope you got that Barbie. I have Barbie as Daphne, and I think there’s a Scoobie Doo Barbie. I believe they were gifts.
I can’t imagine what it’d be like to be afraid of having the things that make you happy. Your designs are amazing and you’re so talented! ❤much love ❤️
Ooooh, I ❤️ it! Sooo pretty!
🥺Omggg stopppp, this is such a touching story! I’m so happy for you with how far you’ve come and that you get to make clothes and dress ppl up for a living now.❤
This brought tears to my eyes thinking of that little boy 😢😢
