I am glad for a new series. Yupi! As for the bus routes... It is not "an annoying little system"... In TF1 (and TF2 is almost the same in most aspects), the passengers travel: -residential-job-residential -residential-shopping-residential -residential-train station-residential And later, when they go to shop or work in another city: -train station-shopping-train station -train station-job-train station They would never travel between shopping areas and jobs or between one residential area and another. You can further click on a couple dozen people and read their intentions and travel preferences and adjust your network accordingly. Anyway, random long circles are inefficient. The ticket prices are based on the distance between the passenger's first and last stops, not based on the distance the bus has driven. So, in a loop: ABCDEFGHA (where each letter represents a different bus stop), a passanger that travels from B to A, pays for a distance of one stop, but is blocking space for seven stops. There needs to be an option to travel both directions to avoid that. In the begining, you can start just by connecting residential areas to the train station to boost your railway where you earn most money. Make double bus stops by simply placing stops on both sides of the street. The game will make it one stop with two "terminals". I like to design lines as ABCDEDCBA, or eventually ABCDEFCBA, where DEF makes a circle around neighbourhoods. They are usually more efficient than random loops and feel more natural. But, you can also do several routes: ABA, ACA, ADA, AEA. Those might actually be the most profitable. So, if you correctly identify the traffic within the city, you can create a network of 3-10 intertwined bus lines per city that will let you capitalise on people's movements. It is excellent with short double tracks where trains can pass each other. It is also how quite some railways work to this day in real life. You can use one-way signals to enforce the travel direction, and use normal signals around the stations where the trains are supposed to travel both ways. Don't add more carriages to the trains. The locomotives don't have enough tractive efforts. I believe they are already not reaching maximum speed because of the overload. You might like to follow the train's speed and evaluate. Probably 6-8 cars per locomotive at this point, depending on the gradient.
You are 100 % right. In the later years the duration of the lines will be important. The pawns will calculate if your public transport is faster then a car. Or cheaper. If you only got fast trains but they want a cheaper ride. They will use a car. So diversifying the offer is key too.
with regards to buses i like to add another route going opposite way rather than adding loads of same line. helps with traffic as both sides of roads are being used aswell and gives customers choice rather than having to go on one route.
To see you building on this map, I am so happy. Now we can compare each other's progress! I may have made my game slightly harder by adding in more towns to make it denser, my traffic is currently gridlock in most of the south and the midlands! I would get set up a cargo run next, as they make reliable income, maybe try the food plant just to the west of London or the fuel plant near Birmingham. Also, if you watch my episodes, you might get some sensible ideas, and some mad ideas as to how to build on this map! 😜
Omg, stop sniffing and BLOW your nose 😂 A newcomer to your channel, I actually enjoyed this and look forward to more, particularly when your feeling a bit better and don't have the sniffles 😅
Some people are so easily irritated over nothing, it's the sign of an unhappy, disordered mind. Your actual problem isn't with this guy sniffing, it's really a problem with yourself and your situation in life. Once you reach a more ordered and strong piece of mind, you won't find problems with insignificant things. I recommend you find more meaning and philosophy, I like stoicism. It's also very entitled to expect some random guy to behave how you want them too, that's not how living in a society works, everyone has their own personality and intricacies. You aren't supposed to like everyone, you either put up with them or move along to someone else.
@mattwatson my, aren't we on a high horse. Look at my comment again - do you see the laughing emoji dotted around it?? The comment about sniffing is in jest... If humour is a concept you are unfamiliar with and certainly reading seems to be an issue as well, then I suggest you double check things before making judgemental comments. Plus your very hypocritical telling me I have a problem with how someone behaves and then go on to tell me how to behave too... really? I think that shows you obviously have more of a problem than anything else..
I suppose that time will tell if it was the wrong decision to start with trains. I can't say that it would have been my choice, preferring to start with a simple road or passenger route, perhaps even Bus route and build up from there.
I think until you can double the line it would be better to have a London > Cambridge and Cambridge > Birmingham. Also, it would be more efficient to have the Wagons just go tot he train station, and one other bus stop. They're more like taxi's and should go direct to their destination
Wow I‘m not an english native speaker and I really thought you were from Australia. Even more surprised to hear you‘re from the middle of England! Love your videos!
Hello a suggestion for when you make rail lines instead of upgrading the trains to carry more pax you should decrease it and at more trains so when you started with 36 for the first Train you should decrease it and make 2 trains of 24 instead of one Train with 48 it makes it run a lot more smooth in the future
I really don't know why he had to start off with 3 stations when he couldn't afford them. I don't know why he had to build a bridge when there were already some.
Whenever i use the UK modpack from the workshop i have infinite cash, any chance you know the reason? I do not have any of the unlimited cash mods on and its only for this specific map.
If you created a bus route in every city and then some bus routes to neighbouring cities you would of paid off your 500k loan real quick instead of borrowing the amount you did.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I like to keep full debt during first decades and immediately invest all the money instead of repying the loans. You should be able to earn more money from your investment than loan interests.

They need to add AI competitor’s to this game
There is mods but if they do there should be a button to turn it off
@@BenskiBoi There are no mods for this. But if you know one please send the link to me I have been looking for one for ages.
@@ethanplayzscr9475 it was a Visio I saw it has wars compotion and a couple others
For starter, he could just use a tissue
Just no.
I play TF2 to chill not compete

I about had a heart attack. I tend to fall asleep to longer videos and was doing just that till at 13:00 the bridge sounded like breathing
Is the map uploaded anywhere, watched the whole series very entertaining thank you!
I believe this is 'UK and Ireland - Megalomaniac' by Fx's workshop in the steam workshop
hey love the series and would love to see what happens next but I would say to always try to put bus routes into town you connect to also 7th
Is there is a steam link to this map? Good episode like the idea of this
Thanks for showing Cambridge some love I’m a veiwer from south cambs so I’m on the fen and east coast
Did you get this map from the steam workshop if so whatsit called and who made it

With cities so big from the start you can finance this whole endeavour solely from bus lines
Wow I‘m not an english native speaker and I really thought you were from Australia. Even more surprised to hear you‘re from the middle of England! Love your videos!
Seniac to make the bus line more profitable and less busy you should to them CW and CCW. Or you can use trams, they have more capacity
U are doing a English transport fever tram need to be apart of this series
Seniac I would do a bus route from Cambridge to Ipswich to get more passengers to the Cambridge station
what difficulty setting are you using... a fairly important factor
You've gotta edit out that sniffing, man. It's not pleasant.
his entire voice is unpleasant
When you get high speed trains make hs2 😂
Easy to cheese this game just get oil going as far and efficiently as possible. Start with ships then upgrade to rail
Omg your sniffing bro..

What are we going to do tonight Bwrain?! NARF
I live in Kirkcaldy it’s near Edinburgh Scotland
I got a question where did you get the map for Das?
I think a lot of people in London and pull Megan. I think you should make an Xpress.
You need to blow your nose.
34 seconds in and this voice has done me.
Nice
Can you tell me what map you are using and great video by the way.

the downside is that theres no left hand driving

Please mute your sniffs! Sounds really gross.
I wish I had large maps like this & the USA one on console :(
Ayooo, Birmingham, *Peaky Blinders!*
Can you please let me know what map you are using Not the save game please sir
There you go wasting $ starting with trains and placing the terminals in the towns!
Bro, you forgot Nottinghamshire (100% certified homeland biased)
no crewe or doncster the two rail hubs of the country
20:11 😩😩😩
Seems like the American way of doing things with all the debt 💀
Shouldn't your trains be running on the left?

Hate that the midlands is empty Worcester, Leicester Nottingham, derby, stoke, Coventry major hubs absent but Scotland and the south full of locales
why no Nottingham? :(
