Can we unlock the golden wheels on Mario Kart 8 [ Big Blue time trial without shortcut ]

- So I took so time to beat all the 150cc Nintendo staff ghosts to unlock the golden wheels just the big blue remains. I know about the shortcut you can take on this track but wanted to beat it properly.
I found the challenge of beating all the TT's really fun so if you have some good times let me know. - Ігри

Hi do you have to beat all 48 levels. Also how many coins do I need for a glider. I've got 12k overall coins and the Internet doesn't give a correct answer.
For gold wheels you need to beat the staff time trails on 150cc for all 48 original tracks ( not the new expansion tracks)
But for the gold glider on the switch you should need 5000 coins was 10k on the Wii U but it was halved.
If you have 12k you might of already unlocked it ages ago and not noticed it's a black glider with gold trim/frame

I don't think you have either I actually checked if you had a ghost I could race on one of the tracks when I was doing them and couldn't see a ghost.
It's actually a lot work for some skins but I actually really like doing time trials 😁

Ah ok I've seen a trick where you can skip half the track but didn't want to abuse it. I'm not massively clued up where most of the shortcuts are if I'm honest but managed to do it anyway 😁
So on the top path on lap 2, drift and hop 2 times and hold your left stick down, and land on the track. (Note: you might fall off.)

Do youknow that drifting off the glider ramp using urmushrooms and tilt controls it will be faster. EDIT: Congratulations🎉

Seen other ppl do it but never tried it myself, looks insanely broken if you learn how to pull it off tho.

No, not you just have to beat the Nintendo staff ghosts that are already on your game. But you have to beat the ghosts on all the original track not just this one.

Yeah I'd agree, but I'd also say they're my favourite unlockable.
Yeah definitely I spent like 9 hours trying to unlock the gold wheels also don't use the gold combo it sucks
@@williamwhates5222 I don't really pay attention to combos especially when just playing against my daughter for fun.
However I only tend to use the gold wheels none of the other gold items, but thanks for the tip. 🙂
beating the ghost was kinda ez because of the shortcuts
I wasn't too familiar with all the shortcuts, and some tracks seemed very easy some I did find a little tricky. Was all fun tho.

@VAN-524_GUY oh yeah I know how to see the kart stats this was just built for max speed I think ( apart from using peach but that was my daughter's pick )
@@starletfawn8719Yo, peach has the best stats, use it with teddy buggy kart, roller wheels and cloud/paper glider.
It's one of the best combos if not the best

@@Gonzet oh I wasn't saying peach is a bad character just from my understanding she isn't heavy so isn't able to have the highest speed everything else I picked for this track was maxed out for speed iirc.
