Hey Fares, i have swam alongside 3 Team GB triathletes, plus some others who have been very fast and you are totally right - they inspire me to try hard, and I try to check out their technique 😉 I try my best to hold my own in the Big Boys' Lane, as I call it! I am a small-ish woman, by the way!
that’s gonna take a lot of work. months if not years of work. but it’s possible. you’re gonna wanna focus on your underwater fly kicks and stroke efficiency, since these matter hugely in short races and learn about breathing techniques and find what works for you. hope this helps and don’t stop until you get it!
@@JJaguar_27I'm actually curious about this. I only swam my senior year, it's been 4 years now, but I've continued to swim, not hard though. At that time in school I was swimming a 25 second 50 and a 58 second 100. What kinda of gains could I expect if I were to push really hard? Edit: I'm also currently working as a swim instructor, so I'm working on my form every day. Just not swimming a lot of laps. I also have no idea what my times would be now..
yes weight does have a big impact on you're swimming pace. Good fundamentals and training will help you alot. However I don't think its possible to swim a 35sec or less 50m at your current weight. I'm 178cm aswell but I'm 70kg. I currently swim a 35sec 50m and a 1:15 100m freestyle
Is there a minimum recommended length for a lap pool? Obviously the MasterSpa you advertise is a minimum, but is there a minimum length for a lap pool which does not provide a counter current in which you could carry out a Measurable program such as the one in this video?
I'm a bit confused on the leg kick and pull timing/rhythm. Do I kick on the same side I'm pulling? E..g left kick and left pull? Also the timing do you kick before you pull or pull then kick
Try thinking of your kick like this: for every one pull, you'll take two kicks. So two kicks as you pull down with one arm, then two when you pull down with the other arm. This is called a two-beat kick (there's also four-beat and six-beat)

As someone who can swim the 50 freestyle in 33.67s, this is exciting!
I’ll let you know once I drop it to 3.67
Can't wait to hear all about it 😂
haha i can swim it in 29.6 im faster
@@FaresKsebatiI’ll tell you when I get a -2 second 50 free!

Thank you
I'm always looking forward to seeing your next video. They motivate me so much

My current time for 100 freestyle is 1:25. I am aiming to do it under a minute.

It’s like you knew I started enhance speed training plan
I really love all your videos! I noticed a typo on your whiteboard in this one though, "train" was written incorrectly.
I am 108kg, and 178cm tall.
Do weight also impact swimming pace? Possible with this weight to go fast like 50 m / 35 sec?

If this was legit then we’d have a way higher amount of insanely fast swimmers in the world

Think this one will answer your question: ua-cam.com/video/UwtVsTUAyQE/v-deo.html
But isn't there also where you kick 1 time with the same side you pull?
@@Hytrinas If you try the 2 beat kick, you kick during catch phase. That helps you start the rotation. ua-cam.com/video/lYGVECC5e0Q/v-deo.html
Hah, so I’m not wrong, I do swim better in my alumni’s pool where the swim teams train than in the gym 😂
