I am a great admirer of Teddy Roosevelt--what an incredible man he was! I wish we had him in Washington now. One of my favorite quotes of his is: "Do what you can with what you have where you are."
What a beautiful video. I love the old pictures and great narration. What a fun guy who really loved his kids and family life. He was like a big kid himself getting involved and having fun with his kids and teaching them moral values. They need parents like him today.
It is a wonderful place to visit. We took our children there the day after Christmas one year. No other visitors and the staff was wonderful. They let our kids sit in TR's chair in his office.. My daughter, who shares the same birthday as TR named her cats Teddy and Alice. And her son Theodore!
What an interesting family, they were all encouraged to be themselves, and yet taught to respect, and get along with other people, and do great things that would benefit other people. Wonderful just wonderful!

FDR always said that his cousin TR was his main mentor in politics.
PBS has a documentary called The Roosevelts.Teddy greatly influenced his relative FDR. Both. and Eleanor, came at the right time for the 20th century.
