Greyhounds are very pointy. This is an evolutionary adaptation to help them spear sausages efficiently. To see this in action, put a nice sausage in front of a greyhound and see how long it lasts.
Your amazing you inspired me and my hole family to adopt a greyhound. And we have had our couch potato for about 1 year now. Well done on getting another one.
Fantastic you guys are living the good life what more could you desire than not one but two beautiful Greyhounds, some of the best scenic walks and a great part of Scotland to live in. Keep the videos coming they just make mine and so many other dog lovers day's perfect.
Your beautiful hounds remind me of two of ours. Basher was a white with brindle patches, and Apache Dog (say it out loud) was white with black patches. Currently have a smokey-brown "blue" who's as daft as a whole roomful of brushes! Best dogs ever, IMHO, at least as pets. Lousy if you want to train them to do anything :-D
Congratulations. What a lucky dog Scout is to be adopted in to your family. I hope it all continues to go well, and I look forward to more fabulous videos.
I have two Irish boys as well. They are called Dodger and He-man. Got He-man about a month after adopting Dodger, because that poor boy was severely traumatised and did not cope alone. I just hoped a second Greyhound, an older and more secure one would coax him out of his shell. So I got myself a rascal :) found out that He-man is like a Cousin to my recently passed away Greyhound Ben which was an added bonus oh and btw Ben had an ancestor in his sireline named Westmead Flight, which I believe may be an ancestor to your beautiful boy
What a beautiful video again, congratulation with the new family member, Scout. I wish Scout many happy years with you and Magnus. Looking forward to the next video👍❤️❤️
My Grandma was a Rescue/foster for Greyhounds for a couple years. She ended up adopting 3 of her Fosters along the way, but many more found their way through her home and our hearts before they moved onto their forever homes. This breed may not be as popular as some other breeds, but they are VERY amazing dogs that unfortunately usually lead very rough younger lives that deserve SOO much better then they got. I'm glad to see these two beauties happy and healthy and to see someone loving them like they deserve.
We had 2 a boy and a girl from the kennel and they've been great they share everything after only a few months. As long as they both get whatever's on offer they're happy hounds. You've got some amazingly scenic walks there lucky!
You did a great job introducing them. I hope they have a long, happy life with you, their new family. Congratulations to Scout, Magnus and you and happy tails to all.
Great job at taking scout in and giving her a loving home. I’ve been fostering greyhounds myself and it’s a great feeling seeing them come leaps and bounds
You will likely find two are easier than one! I did and eventually brought a second hound home! Here we call it "chipping," because like crisps (potato chips) its hard to have just one!
Seems Scout inherited the wings 😍 How great you actually adopted another that is related to your first- so cool! Looking forward here to more videos of them! Asap please!? Cheers and best wishes 🥰
Lovely to see you've got a second! I've been watching your videos for a while now and have found them really helpful - we just adopted our first one this week!
Scout looks quite a bit like our Lexie, also a black and white greyhound gal. We are glad we adopted her as a companion for our first greyhound. The odd squabble, but they have really grown to like each other.
oh wow. I too ended up with a 2nd greyhound and her colors are also white and black, Our dogs look a lot alike, strange world sometimes ! My girl is the daughter of Hall of fame Racer Flying Penske and omg is she fast !!!! It is fun watch the two of them run around my boy gets the run started and my girl gives him a decent head start and then runs him down. She gets a lot more excited then he does so the race is always her chasing him and never him chasing her
I love this video! Scout looks and acts so much like our Scout that died last February. It brings me great joy to see your Scout and it is so nice to see Magnus getting to know each other. You are such wonderful doggie parents. Thank you for the update!
It's wonderful to see Magnus and Scout getting along so well right from the start! But it's even better to see that Scout is home. Congratulations to all four of you!
Greetings from Ohio. Congratulations. Everyone looks and seems to be happy. Scout is beautiful, and Magnus, as always, is handsome. I want to give them both a hug. Virginia
I have retired greyhounds and racers there lovely things you have to love them. I have quite a few as well bred out of westmead hawk. One which had pups shes called terrors hawk. Had a litter of ten 2 girls 8 boys 2 years ago. We still have all of them now.
What a great plan & the right way to introduce a new greyhound, or any new dog, into a home. Scout looks like she'll fit in beautifully & I'm sure Magnus will enjoy having a permanent canine friend. Keep the vids coming! So enjoy your story.
What a wonderful update, I’m glad Magnus & Scout are getting along so well! And oh man how lovely is that countryside, makes one want to go there! Really enjoyed this vid, thanks
It’s pretty common for greyhounds to be related, as the same dogs in each generation are used as sires. Unfortunately this means that any bad genes tend to accumulate, as in the case of Greenwood Fox, who carried the gene for osteosarcoma and passed it down to the many greyhounds he sired. Scout looks lovely. I‘m sure she’ll be a good influence on Magnus!
Congratulations on your new family member. Scout looks like a a a lovely girl and it looks as if she will settle in well. I see that Magnus is a real leaning boy.
Did Magnus and Scout ever get off lead prior to the lock down? Our greyhounds after letting them off in an enclosed area and training them, were very good off lead although Joe was inclined to have an adventure and we would have to wait for him. Love Greyhounds
Beautiful dogs. Has magnus ever chased a little dog that resembled the chase object at the track. Had a adopted greyhound that chased a poodle and schnauzer that ran from him. Of course he just caught them said “ hi” and ran back to us. Spoil those retired athletes as much as possible
Scout loves it, she knows its her new house and family, she has already adjusted to your family and she is very happy to be apart of your pack and Magnus is happy he just has to get used to having Scout live with him, your wife and u, as it was just the 3 of u for yrs, try to keep the same routine as it was before Scout will help him.....like with walks, dinner time etc include Scout in that routine too, I've found they swap beds wherever one is laying on one bed, the other one would just go and lie down on the another bed
Gorgeous pair of hounds, good to see they don't have muzzles on. Adventures look fun. Much rather go for a day out romping than just do another lap of the local park
I’m bringing home our second greyhound this week so i appreciated this video so much. Our first greyhound, a male Aged 9 is about to get a four year old female pal. I am excited but nervous about If they will like each other. This video was helpful. Thank you.

Hi - just considering getting a second greyhound. Do greyhounds play together if off leash in a high fenced secure area?. I took Holly on her own. She raced two circuits and wanted to go home ... forgot she was a greyhound 😊
Wonderful to see them so easily settled in together a beautiful day for all of you 🐾🐾🐾🐾🤗👏
Scout did a good job settling in. The toughest was Magnus as he had a lot of issues to overcome, but he got there.
@@magnusgreyhound yes the big man sure did 🤗🐾🐾🌟
What a pretty girl. She settled right in.
They both look so comfortable together. Purple suits Miss Scout! Love her floppy ears!

LOL how very true. It's also useful for getting into any bag they think may hold any treat (including my _closed_ handbag!)
Hahaha...very true.
Beautiful dogs! Thanks for adopting her!
I love the beautiful greyhound collars. We've had a couple of rescued greyhounds. They are amazing pets.
Your amazing you inspired me and my hole family to adopt a greyhound. And we have had our couch potato for about 1 year now. Well done on getting another one.
Outstanding!
What a lovely video! Scout seems to be adapting really well. We recently adopted our second greyhound too. Greetings from Australia 💕
So sweet and lovely. My 2yr old rescue has greyhound in her and she is so loving and sweet. Lightening fast too. ❤️
So happy for you all, but especially for Scout! She finally has a family! Have fun! Love from Texas
