This is very good thank you. I am trouble with the bolts on the solenoid that connect the electrical wiring. Specifically the one on the top of the solenoid (not the side one). I cant seem to get the 13mm socket on it. I then tried a 10mm socket and it was still to big. How big is that bolt and how to you take it out? I can't even get pliers on it.
Yes it's not as easy as it looks. It doesn't show everything because I use my phone camera for the recording. In some places I had to use both hands and undo the bolts without looking.
It’s 2 bolts and 2 wires. Get a 15, 13, 10mm. Wobbly. Extension. Remove heat shields. Remove passenger wheel and use impact w many extensions and a wobbly for 15mm bolts. U can work around header,m or remove header. Whatever floats your bolt.
I work on my mini all the tine its never that easy $100 keeps the headaches away lol im a mechanic so i just work on it but trust me just take it too a shop for a the starter lol
I can do a starter in an hour now. Done mine 3 times. Oreilly’s has had a bad run of rebuilt starters. Either remove pass tire and use many extensions and a wobbly with your impact tool. Or work around header using a 15mm ratcheting wrench. Or a hinged ratchet head, extension and 15 mm socket works good too.
Thanks great video

Did you have trouble taking out the 15mm? Like were te bolts tight?
The bolts can be tight if it's being undone for the first time.
Those 15mm gave me hell.
@@kenishabrown8626 any advice on removing them? Simply no space
@@justinmann2404Take off passenger wheel. Get 15mm impact socket, a wobbly and 4 large extensions. Remove two bolts with impact. It’s so ez.
Nice video! Was this a 1.4 or 1.6 engine?

Hullo. How long did this actually take you please? My stupid car has failed and I don’t really have spare cash to Chuck at a garage. Cheers
About 2 hours, The video is for information only and not a full guide. The main bolts can be very tight and difficult to loosen.
