There is a pair of islands known as the Diomedes in the Bering Strait.
Little Diomede is American; Big Diomede is Russian.
The recognized border is between the islands (as well as the International Date Line, which is why Big Diomede is 21 hours ahead of Little Diomede).

While the combined flights of both countries is uncommon, this actually happens frequently. Constant testing and assessment of our defenses and response times to evaluate for weaknesses. The US military is ready for this. Don't be stupid and say this didn't happen during the trump administration because it literally did, even while he was sucking up to Putin.
