- A customer wanted something to match their dark wood interior. Blue was their favorite color, so I made the dark blue.

Beautiful! Looks like a dark, starry night. As for future color combos…I never get tired of purple!🥰
You can never go wrong with purple. Thanks.
Oh, purple is quite nice… periwinkle and greens, too.
I really like the color combination. I used to imagine myself having a vehicle painted in metallic sapphire blue; it would look great with polished dark wood panels in the interior.
Now I'm trying to imagine a good color combination for a new bowl, and I'm coming up with something like a mahogany crotch/burl combined with bright copper leaf suspended in a mostly clear resin, maybe slightly tinted with swirls of burnt sienna and/or bronze.
Now that would be cool. Thanks
I love this color combo. And the pour-n music as always - thanks!
Haha Sexy Time music is always a hit.
Black and green is nice.
Cool color combo. Thanks
Yep it is beautiful! Bit like blue flames.
Whoever is receiving this will be more than happy.
Have you ever done a silvery grey resin with a dark wood?
Happy that the pouring music is back😁 Don’t know why, it just makes me smile.
Thank you Alison, she loved it.
Loving the dark blue colouring. Creates a sense of nostalgia in me. Not sure why but it does. Looks a bit like a night sky in the middle of nowhere.
Thank you Joy
I’ve always liked the blue and black combination ever since I was a kid. Very cool.
Thanks. I like this color combo too.
great bowl ken .i love the colors.the color mix with the wood is great
Thanks 👍
Stunning! Like a night sky with a blue Aurora Borealis!
Cool description
It's a beautiful bowl. It looks like a galaxy. And since you asked...red, yellow and orange. Like flames.🔥🔥🔥
I've actually been designing a cutting board like that.
Blue my mind. Reminds me of starry starry night...Beautiful,as always! 😁👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
I like the blue and the black. That is really beautiful.
Thank you Kevin.
That blue is mesmerizing. Beautiful job
Thank you! 😊
Top drawer work on the rooftop opening! Cool midnight bowl project.
Hahahaha, I've started doing my own intro videos. I'm using a website called videobolt. Super easy. Boy I sound like a spam comment don't I?
Now that's a Galactic bowl, it's a beauty😎👍👍👍👍
Thanks Mike
Love the darker colors. I bet a deep red, would look great.
Thanks Robert
Very STUNNING. Love the colors. Next one perhaps blue and green or red and purple and perhaps some gold or silver in either one. OR yellow, orange and copper. Like kimberlee said. Just replaced the red with copper. Love what you do. You show what happens no matter what. Thanks for sharing. 💕😊💕🤗💕🇺🇸
Thank you Joalla. I appreciate your kind words.
Pink and emerald are really pretty together with purple heart.
Interesting combo. Thanks
Love the swirls in the dark blue resin, looks like a midnight sky.
Thank you
This is stunning Ken. Great choice of colour resin for the wood. As you probably have seen, I like mine to be a little transparent so it can be lit up from inside and would love to have seen this with a tea light inside.
Is it weird when I read your comments I hear your voice in my head saying it?
Nice piece Ken
Thank you kindly
The combination of the dark pecan and midnight blue is beautiful! I really love the swirl and glisten of the resin.
Thank you so much!
This colour so far is my favourite one to date. Personally I'd like to see a black and gold shimmery kinda bowl 👍
Thanks. I made this bowl a while back ua-cam.com/video/WZ21uJNxq0Q/v-deo.html
This one turned out great despite cold shop. Glisteny blue looks good with the wood.
Thank you. BTW I haven't forgot about your email. Been really busy at my day job.
It gives me a feeling of standing in complete calm and silence on a different planet, looking out over the other-worldly terrain into outer space. Something like a NASA picture. Another beautiful creation! 👍 I can't believe I just said that about a bowl! 😄 Nice work, Buddy. Art!
Wonderful! Thanks for that description.
That piece is just beautiful the colours are amazing I absolutely love it 👍👍👍😊😊😊♥️
Thank you so much 😊
Completely awesome. Would love to see one like that in green instead of blue.
Cool color combo. I think I would like to see that also.
OMG it's gorgeous 😍
Purple and green would be cool.
That color combo would look cool.
That dark blue is a very good complement to the color of the wood Beautiful work as always I love it love it love it
Thank you Martha
Colour's beautiful, blends perfectly with the wood!
Thank you! Cheers!
Orange and blue and black, orange and blue like the pour on this one with some onyx black somehow included. The three colors represent my favorite sports team Edmonton Oilers. Gotta love sports themed anything!!
I started this bowl a while before my accident for a customer. Once I was hurt I had to refund their money and still sent them another bowl. This one just sits in my shop. lol To expensive to ship anywhere. I lost my ass on this one with the two different bowls I tried.
Good evening, Ken. Great job with this bowl. Excellent color.
Thank you Ray
Beautiful bowl Ken , nice job on the fix. Aqua and yellow would be gorgeous.
That an unusual color combination. Thanks Susan
Love the blue color on that bowl brother. 👍🇺🇸
Thank you Cortland
That is one Awesome bowl Ken color is awesome👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Scott
Simply stunning. A similar piece in a dark green would be amazing
Thanks Maxine
Nice bowl but the color is gorgeous both the epoxy and the wood great job
Thank you so much 😀
Incredible color combo. Looked like waves of satin and reminded me of a storm. Call me crazy (and maybe it looked different close up) but I actually thought the bubbles at the rim were kinda neat - sort of added to the stormy/nautical vibe I got from the bowl. However, I appreciate your perfectionism and desire to get rid of them!
Thanks Alex, In person those bubbles really hurt the look of the bowl.
Love the colors. Would love to see you do something in purple. But your ideas are always spot on. Keep up the great videos. I watch all you older stuff too.
Great idea!!
Favorite color! So of course i love it!
Thank you Dan
THAT is a COOL blue!!!!
Thanks Michael
That color is AMAZING!!!
Thanks Jennifer
Love the color and project. Way to go Ken.
Thanks Steve
Rock, paper, scissors (chisels), you’ve found they all hurt coming off the lathe. Great coloration.
Hahahaha, I should have stopped when I saw it come loose. Didn't think it would hurt if it came off. I guess I was wrong. lol
That may well be one of the prettiest color combination you've ever come up with, Ken! I like rich colors like that, especially jewel tones. Personally, I lean towards shades of red, but that blue will be hard to beat!
Red is my favorite color to use. You can get some beautiful bowls with it.
Cool Beans!! The bowl is beautiful. Love the dark/navy blue. One of my favorites. Keep on keeping on my friend.
Thanks Charlene
great lookin bowl Ken, I use a torpedo heater to heat my shop, it stinks and it's getting costly but it works, lol
I bit the bullet and replaced my mini split. I am now poor an destitute.
DAMN! That new intro is hella cool and beautiful bowl
Thank you. I started making my own recently.
That's a beautiful colour combination.
I wouldn't say things went wrong, more in the vein of Bob Ross " happy little accidents".
Thanks Matt
That blue is so pretty!!!
Color combinations… it isn’t easy to find large trees (it’s mostly used for making barbecued meats where I grew up), but mesquite wood has some amazing color… perhaps smaller chunks with a translucent pearl resin… so the color of the wood shows through.
I wish I could get a hold of some mesquite. Thanks
This is absolutely beautiful 😍 I adore that Blue so much totally my favourite colour such a stunning job .. Despite the heating problems 😍😍
Thanks. The mini split is fixed now so I am hoping once the shop is cleaned up I can get back to casting some bowls.
@@MoonpieCreations your bowls are really gorgeous .. I just saw the snowflake one so I will watch that tonight and catch up on more ... I dont have a pressure pot yet but one day
Yes, th colours look great.
Thanks Jack
I think this is one of my favorites you've done.
Thanks Jen.
Stunning! Absolutely love it. Also love the new intro and the hypnotic moving lines at the end. Idea for new colour combo... I'm an old 1960s/70s girl and a popular combo then was deep purple with jade green and turquoise. That would be nostalgic for me. I treasured a tote bag with a swirly design on in those colours. Orange and pink were popular together too but I liked my blue/greens.
Really nice to see you again. I hope all is well with you and yours.
Julie, those colors together would look great. Thank you for sharing.
Another beautiful bowl!! 😃 I love the dark blue color you added to it, Ken!! 😃 Great job as usual!! 😃
Thanks Hillary.

nice work Ken, a dark purple with some silver highlighting I think would be sweet looking, maybe purple and a carbon black highlight too.
Cool color combos. Thanks
Pretty blue color. Good lookin bowl. ❤👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Ken I love the color combo. The color in the bowl looks like it has a little bit of glitter and, the bottom of the bowl looks like part of your logo....at least the cresent moon part. 👍👊
Thanks Steve. I appreciate that.
Great Work as always Mr. Ken!! I love the dark blue..👍😁
Thanks 👍
Well, another beauty!! I dont know what I enjoy most, watching you turn those hybrid bowls or watch your intros to your videos, wish I had that talent on the computer to do that!!
It's actually really easy. I've been using a website called Videobolt for my intros. You're making me sound like a commercial. lol
South Carolina and REALLY COLD is REALLY FUNNY to me being from Wisconsin. Looks great Ken!
My buddy lives in Madison and says the same thing. Wisconsin isn't really cold it's stupid cold. lol
Loving that colour!
Thanks
Very cool. I really like the Colors and the wood is beautiful

Very pretty. The swirls in the blue with white looks like some glitter looks really nice of the word. You were having problems with it turned out beautiful
I sure did have problems. lol Luckily I pushed through. Thanks
My favorite color combo by far! My kitchen colors are similar.
Thank you Kitterz
@@Raymondgogolf Apparently UA-cam ate your comment, because I never got it. Plus, it’s strange the cut-and-paste copy reply is a little disconcerting.
I think that's the best colour i've seen yet ;-)
Thanks Linda
It may have been trouble but that one turned out absolutely beautiful.
Thanks John
Oh my ! I’m in love with the color and wood .. just amazing 🤩

Thanks for watching Tim. I appreciate it.
Love those colors. Reminds me of some model work I did as a kid. Put something close to that blue on a couple muscle car models.
That would look really cool on a car.,
Awesome color beautiful bowl
Thank you so much 😊
That came out really pretty, Ken.
Sucks when things go out in the shop. I know you know how it feels. lol
Beautiful bowl, Ken. The rich wood and resin color work perfectly. Blue is my favorite color, too. Just sayin’

That is an interesting combo. Thanks
hello friends greetings healthy and successful always. thank you for sharing knowledge and always faithfully watching your latest stuff I like your ideas👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much
👋 #2. Sorry this bowl was such a tough one on ya & you got boo-boos from it but I was so proud of you when I finally got to see 👀 you wear a leather glove, which I don't get to see often...although briefly, but I saw it nonetheless...lol 😆 👍
Back to the project...I must say that it turned out absolutely gorgeous 😍 and I really loved the resin color & character of the wood. You hit the ball out of the park with this one 👏 Beautiful 😍 bowl 🥣 👏 😉 😍
Resin color ideas 💡 that I'd like to see are: black, gold & burgundy 😀 with the sparkles in it just like the resin you used for this project 👍 with some beautiful light colored spalted wood or maybe a burl? I think that would look really nice. What do you think?
Thank you Rebekka, I don't like wearing gloves, but dang that slap hurt. lol. Thanks for the color suggestions.
