Overland Bound has helped me Alot. The system he has put together really helps. They are world wide and it allows all of us to be able to connect. You guys have really helped with my passion for Overlanding. Thank you!
I didn't even know about you guys till just now. Anyways from the pics I seen yall must be near Cow Town. Never knew what Overlanding was till a few years ago. Been doing it my whole life apparently. My dad and I always called it Bush Travel Camping. I tend to do a mix of hardcore wheeling and Bush Travel Camping, you know when I'm not on the black gold rush. Checking out your videos next. See you around. Wheeling McLean first weekend of June.
Great advice. One thing I would add is to avoid the rabbit hole of analysis paralysis planning and equipping for a trip. The best way to learn is to get out and start making trips. You can stumble into some amazing experiences this way. I used to over prepare and over plan and it takes some of the adventure out of it. The forums are great but they are can also leave you feeling like you need a 100k rig to get started.
While watching the intro, I was just like "Why does that waterfall look so similar? and then I realized it was 410 Expedition and the GBU! Awesome to see Canadian spots making it onto American channels!
That was an awesome episode! This was something I really struggled with back when I started, so its good to see that it’s being put out for new (or old) overlanders! Also I see you used the footage from overland expo 2014. I actually was able to make it that year!! Awful wet that year with snow! I think I’m actually not a clip too!!
I found Texas Overland on the live stream when y’all did the big giveaway. It’s an amazing group of people and I’ve learn a lot about my state and places to go.
Hey guys, Im only asking because I know that you have been running them for a while. I am trying to decide between the General ATX and the X3. What would be some pros and cons that you have experienced in your travels? Thank you for the help and all the great content!
Hi guys, love your videos. I’m new to overlanding and have decided to buy a 16,17 Tacoma to build a rig. Do you guys have any advise of what configuration to go with. I’m in Las Vegas and have always been a crew long bed person but I really want to get out there so don’t know if that’s a good platform to start with. Any info would be a great help. Keep up the great work!
I have a question: Is there a reason that you guys didn't consider an FJ Cruiser Trail Team Edition as part of your vehicle line up? Just curious. They seem to be serious off-road vehicles.
Go Play Outside Thanks for the information but im well aware of what overlanding is! I do it myself, i was simply making a joke because it does cost a lot of money to do. I do overland myself, however no where near the level as these guys
Question: Off topic: I have a 2016 4runner Trail Premium. I want to get a little better lift but not to crazy because I do mostly street and hwy driving without breaking the bank. How does a Bilstein 6112/5160 combo sound for my vehicle??? Thanks.
Caleb Ramey beauty of it is that you don't need all the fancy stuff to get started. Take what you have and use it. Not all overlanding is offroad trails, fact their last season was mostly void of that even. Get a cheap pup tent and bag and go to google maps and play around... find some cool local sites. As you progress and save, you can get the toys and a nicer vehicle etc. and then go see and adventure further out.
I don't know about Alabama, but I know about low budget overlanding ;) My wife and I bought a truck for $2500 usd, built our own camper, and spent 2 years living in it and driving to Panama and back. You don't NEED most of the stuff that is popular in the overlanding community. Just use what you have, keep it simple and see how far you get
Saying you associate with groups keeps making me think your a criminal organisation. While clearly Overland travel is the front for your global network of associates.... Also known as overlanders. Lol

Good Day Everyone, Cappy here... hey hey! I know those guys on the TV! Thanks guys for the shout out. See you at NW Overland Rally!

Thx Kurt for your humble wisdom. I enjoy your local knowledge

Nice to see a shout out to 410 Expedition!
Yes! Glad “Oh Hey There” is back!
While watching the intro, I was just like "Why does that waterfall look so similar? and then I realized it was 410 Expedition and the GBU! Awesome to see Canadian spots making it onto American channels!
See you guys at the Overland Expo West 2018!
It's always fun to listen to Kurt talk. I'm surprised his head isn't much larger from all the knowledge he has to carry around.
Hahaha
Pumped to hear you guys are going to be at the NW Overland Expo. Can't wait to meet you guys!
Thanks, guys!
Like Jeff said, "Just get out there and get started!"
You will not regret it.
As we say, "There are no wrong turns."

great video. As some one who is getting into vehicle based back country travel simple info like this is great.

Due to my disability I have to just watch your videos and take short trips and hope for the best . I don't have anybody to go with me.
I was so concerned that the TV wasn't hung on the wall straight. But it's just the main camera tripod not level. lol
Waiting on an Overlanding Kansas Episode. YAWN. Thank the overlanding Gods you are not in the flatlands.
Ur my favorite expedition overland crew member

Hey guys!, what was the Canada group you talked about?
tyrell calhoun 410 Expeditions. Lots of content on UA-cam. Good stuff.
tyrell calhoun we are 410 Expedition Canadian Overland out of Calgary, Alberta.
Not one mention of patches or Instagram?! How are new overlanders going to get off on the right foot without the starter kit?
One Man Trail lol
😂😂
You're great Kurt! Really wanna know what watch that is on the Nato strap
John Adams Thanks! The watch is a Traser
Kurt Williams Another fan of the Traser watches here. After my G-Shock Rangerman, my Traser P6600 Elite Red is probably my second favorite watch.
What's going on where are the video's?
Links?
Man, my tundra isnt a 4 wheel drive😞 its a TSS OFFROAD Package. I want to get into overlanding though.
Alabama!?! Where! Also... how do start overlanding when you’re broke?

maxst2 thanks! We travel as a family a lot we just stay at hotels. The family’s first time camping will be in a few weeks.
You are waay ahead! overlanding will make you broke, you've skipped that step!
2StrokeSmoke yeah, lol... and all of the stuff that comes with it...
