Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.
She's gorgeous and a great actress. Hilarious as well!
BRONG! She's great. Always hilarious.
Dave, the perpetually coolest guy in the room.
She's just a jewel of the human race.
She couldn’t have been lovelier!
So stunning
When you host a writers strike you must have large ashtrays and reasonably priced cocktails or face a riot.
It's amazing how so many things in Hollywood come to a standstill when the writers go on strike. Suddenly all the famous and witty talk show hosts have nothing funny or witty to say 😂
Witty and Funny late-night talk show hosts are a part of the WGA. They can't do anything that may be misconstrued by the Union.
You bet your ass!
All the late-night hosts are very funny and witty in their own right, they just hand write for an hour-long talk TV show. Duh.
@@debschaefer7820 jimmy Fallon is neither witty or funny, he simply shows the end result of corporate greed.
So what's your excuse for not being as successful as them?
She really got beautiful hair
ahh, the "good ole days" where you could say "old hag" on TV without some pressure group smacking you down.
A very beautiful woman!
It seems ridiculous to me that actors get so much... and in comparison writers get so much less I think?
Without writers, there wouldn't be anything!
Pitting actors against writers is NOT the point; many actors make little money, too. The point is the writers & actors all fighting for more money and residuals, better protections, etc., which the rich execs of this huge business should be able to provide.
@@malvavisco10 Yes, I heard part of this in respect of some actors, but I'm speaking of the top echelons of actors.
Who for Friends were getting a $million per episode, but then the writers weren't getting nearly as much?
And if even if you take the money out of the equation, then how often do we celebrate writers like we do actors... when again without writers the actors would have nothing?
I wasn't talking of pitting one against the other, but talking of far more respect and recognition for writers... who often almost appear an after-consideration in comparison to actors?
If Eva Longoria bought me pizza I would die a happy man.
SAG AFTRA should have honored the WGA picket line and this year!
Paul wasn't wrong.
It's driving me nuts I can't place the song. Someone's gotta do a whole archive of their picks
I’d bet she can spare a square nowadays 😊
She was born into wealth and high society...her acting gig is only because she likes having fun doing it.
We'll be right back with T.J. Miller.
Does Louie get a residual check for the music?
That he then pays to the 70s band? No, Louis gets nothing.
@@morbidmanmusic haha
My life is shattered knowing that the song isn't original to his show.... you are morbid man. Thank you for the edumication.
hi
If only Julia was the slightest bit charming.
Good actress. However, once in Letterman’s guest chair they become preachy dilletantes
Dave seemed largely unenthusiastic towards Juila.
Doubt it. She was one of the 10 chosen to be reading the very last top 10 on the very last show so I’m thinking he thought highly of her.
Hahaha
The AI writing bots are laughing at the union clowns.
