Was Ultron Right? - A Misunderstood MCU Marvel Villain

- Ultron was certainly no golden hero, but could he have been an anti-hero trying in a twisted way to save humanity? After all, he is trying to achieve "peace in our times." For fun, I'm making the case that Ultron was a misunderstood Marvel Villain.
I'm not using any comics for this, purely Avengers Age of Ultron!

I upload new Marvel videos every week and try to keep you up to date on MCU news too!
Do you think preserving AI we create would effectively be preserving humanity? Are there any other Marvel villains you would like to see me attempt to show to be misunderstood Marvel villains?
Can you attempt to do Mysterio next?
@@italkdrift1027 I think Zemo might be next, but I'll add Mysterio to the list! Thanks for the suggestion!
In that way, Thanos was an anti-hero too... Look at population blast causing all kindsa troubles
From a certain point of view. (sounds like a video to be made sometime in the future...)
I had a lot of empathy for Ultron. I seldom ever do for the straight up villain.
Ultron should be He Who Remains in Loki. If a version of him was able to beat/absorb the Avengers and with that power, then beat Thanos, he'd be unstoppable. With the Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos' technology, he'd quickly be able to establish the TVA. He would have consumed most of the Earth for energy at this point. He easily would be able to travel and combine with other variant Ultrons, only increasing his strength. Early on he was able to absorb and take over Vision, but eventually he takes the form of his maker, Tony Stark (man in the castle cameo). He also keeps Wanda in stasis until he eventually figures out how to impregnate her, creating his son, Kang.
The flip with be that Kang is the tragic hero, trying to undo what his father has created.
Wow. That makes for an intriguing theory. Could be fun!
If we had a Ultron like AI program designed to stop Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, then maybe we hadn't lost Tony and the program would have done the snap.
There’s a difference between genocide and extinction- three years late but generally you’re not wrong lol
your second argument about the stone seeing a danger coming makes a lot more sense now seeing the theories about eternals
Lore of Was Ultron Right? - A Misunderstood MCU Marvel Villain momentum 100
Yes
I was waiting for this to come out! Great video!
Thanks!!
If Ultron won instead of Thanos, the MCU timeline would be different.
Ultron and Thanos are the examples of villains I should root for.
"It's not genocide because its random"-thanos
according to 'Thanos Logic' (completely real thing and not made up by me) ultron's plan is not genocide in the movie because he doesn't chooses who lives and who dies in his apocalypse.
Why you have only 24 subscribers because the quality is great 👍 keep up
Thanks Sudhanshu! Onward and upward!!
Ultron was right humanity has to DIE
Wouldn't it be neat if they did an episode of the What If series where Ultron did win?
@@freeformmarvel2969 They did!
@@freeformmarvel2969 And how bad was it was Ultron won? If Ultron himself destroyed the same Earth he wanted to preserve in the process, that that totally demolishes his point that Earth will be better off with no human life left on it when there is not another Earth for him to save.
First ever Freeform Marvel video!!!
Yay!!
Subbed, may your channel grow good sir.
Great video!
I liked your Anakin Skywalker with Joker makeup.
Ultron was right about humans, Black Mirror proves it.
It's sarcasm
8th subscriber here good job
Thanks Eevee! And thanks for subscribing!
Personally I think ultron was virtuous
Hmm yes lore of avengers age of ultron
great stuff dude
No wonder Marvel movies have very few great villains. Most of them want to save world. For me Ultron is overall bad writed only good about him was James Spader
Great video
Ultra was a hero humans don’t deserve to live
😡How genocidal and unforgiving do you have to be to stoop to Ultron's level?
@@adampkalb very low 😊 is humans have proven time and time again that we need to be destroyed most of these villains are right
@@jamiehill2847 Yes, but are they really any better if they cause a war to end all wars to show us why wars are bad? Would you murder everybody else just to show them why it is wrong to murder them? Would you?
😭I don't...I don't want to root for Ultron to commit worldwide or universal or multiversal genocide. I want to believe that there is still something good about humanity worth preserving, and Age of Ultron might have had something of positive value to dispute that which I forgot. We do not want to make it look like Ultron winning is a good thing, because it would still be a sad ending when everyone is dead. The best possible scenario for Ultron is that he does not destroy Earth in the process, but victory becomes boring for him when there are no humans left. By becoming the hero to end all heroes, Ultron has made himself simultaneously the hero and the villain in his own story. He has no better alternative solution to bring peace than the humans he wants to murder in order to achieve that.
