Yeah I don't get NBA free agency/acquisitions. Its almost amusing to me compared to the NFL.. there are just so many bad moves in the NBA. It's like watching a 13 year old as a GM in 2K.
The NBA has this weird culture of putting superstars togehter and make them sort out the rest. In general it is easier than trying to have some sort of 'system' or even culture so that a bunch of decent players beat superstars + cats. The only team that has a successful record of having a good system instead of superstars is of course the Spurs, but Pop+Tim was a hell of a combo for that. So teams just hold onto superstars, regardless of age, whenever they can. If you have one, then there is a chance that a 2nd one and 3rd one will come (yes LeBron it's kind of your legacy). When they sign the deal they probably know it's for a 2yr window rather than the whole length of the contract.
Yeah in paper it made sense but plans are always WAY HARDER to actually execute irl. Then james wisemen really was a miss supposed to be that main young guy.
@DizcretiI was screaming to trade him before that season even started. And I’m a lakers fan. Why they wanted to keep a kid when the core was getting older was SO low IQ.
Idk why they didn't just draft lamelo the for sure star, or trade the pick. Or draft lamelo and trade the pick. They drafted for fit rather than talent
The things is tho Wiggins may be better than half of these options . He’s really playing well right now so I think golden state looks at it like we get a star for him or a mid level player like vuc
Yeah he's playing at an All Star level, and it shows in their record tbh. I really think Wiggins is gonna make a splash in the playoffs this year. Mavs should trade AD for him, nojoke
He is not better if you want high ceiling. KD, Beal, Butler, even Zion all had experience carrying a team. With Steph aging you can't win the championship if he is the only one pulling real weight. Of course for Steph there is zero point of having a 'decent' season that ends in conference semi-final. If it's win or bust, then even someone crap like Beal would be better than Wiggs.
If Warriors were smart, they would be contacting the Bulls. Some combo that includes Vuc. Maybe they can swing Coby or Ayo if the value is there. That is two solid players, and most likely can maintain their core with salaries.
They should have never given Green that July 2023 extension. They should have let him walk and kept Jordan Poole and then they would’ve had the money available to re-sign Klay after the 2024 season was over.
No, it is the exception that proves the rule. On one hand, you could say that the NBA forced Luka to LA, which is doubling down on player focus at the expense of teams. Or you could say that Nico screwed the Mavs so bad that people now hate teams and only focus on players, no matter what team they play for.
It's the other way around, players will be even more self-centered from now on, they just saw reason number 2926 why being loyal to a franchise doesn't mean shit. If Luka got shipped then nobody is safe, better chase the bag no matter what
The franchise's decision-making was cooked when they didn't trade the #2 pick or just draft Melo Ball. Drafting for fit is a great way to set yourself up for a million "What If" video essays in the future.
@@harderway8568 I didn't think Kyrie would become a serious player after Brooklyn or Boston but he did. Sometimes a fresh start can change a player's perspective.
That Desperation cologne gives off a mighty stink. Letting LaVine slip through their fingers buried them behind desperation and it’s going to cost Money Mike Dunlevy his job.
Draymond used to be a juicy liability but now he's just a liability. They missed the opportunity to trade him for something worthwhile. They should still get rid of him to either help the long term rebuild or the quick one around Steph. I don't think the Warriors will be contenders no matter what they do but shaking things up can only help because I see them in the same light as all the bottom teams or even worse than some in there like the Raptors have a great young core, much better than the mess over in the Bay.
1 all-star guy not brought up is Randle. Very avaliable and low cost because Minny just wants out of the money. Not their first choice but a good budget option.
I would love to see Steph and LeBron play in the same team. Both of them try to get one more ring before they retire. The two best players of the old aired. Plus the ratings would be through the roof.
Do you really believe Paul George was a star in the offseason and “all of a sudden” his contract is awful? Feel like casual could’ve told you that the second ink hit paper
i feel like the warriors should just start tanking to get into the lottery and get a high pick in this draft, this class is better than last class so they should do it
PG Steph SG GP2 SF KD PF Kuminga C a 7 footer (more than likely just Draymond though….) Trade what we have to get KD and a footer preferably. GP would be reasonably cheap to keep and brings alot to a offence centric line up with D.
Kobe didn't win a ring his last 6 years in the league. Same with Larry Bird. Dirk played on teams that weren't a contender toward the end of his career as well. I think the point is, it's OK for a guy like Steph, who has accomplished almost anything you could accomplish in this league, to just wind down his career gracefully if the Warriors don't have it anymore. I get wanting to win, having a competitive side, etc, but I don't think they need to panic and overpay for one last shot that might not even be very fruitful.
They have two stars already.. everyone said draymond was a snub on top 75 all time and is only 34, he should at least still be good enough to be a number 2 if hes as good as everyone said he was
Daryl Morey traded Caleb Martin for Quentin Grimes he's definitely seen the writing on the wall and shifting toward going younger. So its very likely Paul George is traded
The Timberwolves are probably another team they could trade with.. Randle has not been a good fit for the Twolves. He might be a lot better of a fit in Golden State.
James -> Warriors Wiggins, TJD, Toppin -> Blazers Turner, Walker, Anderson -> Lakers Ayton, Kuminga -> Pacers This was the best James to the Warriors trade I could come up with. Pacers won't trade Turner unless they get a starting center back. It's hard to think any James-to-the-Warriors trade would make them better because of how much salary dump would be required.
Sorry, but that’s terrible. That’s 3 guys going out for one coming back and leaves the dubs with only Looney & Post at C. They’d have to fork out more money to fill out the roster which would certainly put them over the cap. That’s a lot of present and future talent to lose for a rental who stopped playing defense sometime in the last decade.
We need to swing for the fences with Zion and hope we can turn his career around Washed up stars, borderline all stars, or solid role players won't turn this team into a contender, we need a young star with top 10 potential, Zion is the only one within reach
I don't see KD or Jimmy getting traded. I think the Heat makes Jimmy play out his contract or Heat could be savages and trade him away for nothing to a garbage team.
I would love, love, K.Durant back with the Warriors. We need 3 point shooters, being that's the NBA now. Thanks to you Curry. Problem is our team is not a 3point shooting team, other teams are so much better. As far as LeBron, all I'm reading in the comments from LA is to hell with LeBron, because we have Luka. Only positive I hear from the media is LeBron can Help Luka or Baby sit Luka helping him with his weight and conditioning REALLY?????
Man GS was saved by sixers they can see PG there. Why try to get him after seeing that sixers PG? Unless they want to be the 2nd Dallas I want to see Steph got traded tho, to a good team
I don't think there's any player that wants to join the Warriors franchise even if that means teaming up with Steph. Curry is pass his prime and would a waste of time since there not a win now team.
Desperation makes people do stupid things, but the truth is, it’s too late. Steph is already out of time. It’s over. Time to move on. They need to get rid of everyone except Steph.
This is stupid they got an aging steph and dramond just dodged a bullet wit klay got a few good young assets and they're supposes to trade it away for another aging star... this aint it🤦🏾♂️
What even is this video? Why would GS want Paul George now? And why on earth would they want Beal and why would he want to go there? 9mins and 30 sec of nothing
Well right now kuminga is a better player than Paul George so if I'm philly plus they offer us picks too well I accept any day 😂 so I completely disagree with you there
Weird take but if bron reslly wanted the warriors... Bron to warriors... warriors assets to pelicans... zion to lakers. Pair up the "fatties" 😂😂😂 in LA for their future post lebron Yes im a lakers fan lmao and this is just a joke
Paul George would be a great asset to interview Steph Curry

as a sixers fan this post made me laugh initially and then cry

Cus Curry-Durant-Lebron are like the best 35-40 year olds ever
Its like they are thinking what these players have done in the past. LOL.
Yeah they’ve been getting really desperate for a star since that “two timeline” plan backfired.
Yeah in paper it made sense but plans are always WAY HARDER to actually execute irl. Then james wisemen really was a miss supposed to be that main young guy.

Idk why they didn't just draft lamelo the for sure star, or trade the pick. Or draft lamelo and trade the pick. They drafted for fit rather than talent
Because Steve Kerr is a horrible coach. He almost cost us the gold medal. He is terrible.
James wiseman draft was 5 years ago, they won a chip after. Didn't focus on the core, didn't focus on the new. They deserve it
The things is tho Wiggins may be better than half of these options . He’s really playing well right now so I think golden state looks at it like we get a star for him or a mid level player like vuc

Cheaper contract too. I take Wiggins 100 million contract over +200 million from Paul “No Show” George

Thats their main target.
They should have traded Draymond 7 years ago.
What a dumb take 😂
They won a chip sooner than like 26 franchises. I’m sure they’re happy with their recent decisions
He’s still right, they sunk too much
They should have never given Green that July 2023 extension. They should have let him walk and kept Jordan Poole and then they would’ve had the money available to re-sign Klay after the 2024 season was over.
They won a couple years ago. What are you talking about little man?
The Luka trade signals the official end of the "player empowerment" era
Thank god
No, it is the exception that proves the rule. On one hand, you could say that the NBA forced Luka to LA, which is doubling down on player focus at the expense of teams. Why?
that's because none of these young guys can carry a team to the playoffs fr
The franchise's decision-making was cooked when they didn't trade the #2 pick or just draft Melo Ball. Drafting for fit is a great way to set yourself up for a million "What If" video essays in the future.
Hear me out: Mia gets podz, Wiggins, somebody else, Phoenix gets Butler, Kumniga, Warriors get Durant
Dumbass idea
Zion and Steph Curry pick and roll would be dangerous.
Yes it’s just Zion never plays, curry is the most in consistent player I have ever seen as well
HELL NAH
Zion is a horrible player. Why would anyone trade for that guy is beyond me.
Zion is their best option, no disrespect but nobody should be trying to Aquire podcast P !
@@SorelsSon it's a hail mary but that's where we're at sadly
Zion would just be a lazy Kuminga at this point. KD, Bron or Giannis are the only moves that are worth pursuing that would move the needle.
I doubt Zion will ever take things seriously.
@@harderway8568 I didn't think Kyrie would become a serious player after Brooklyn or Boston but he did. Sometimes a fresh start can change a player's perspective.
It’s okay guys they got Bpodz
That Desperation cologne gives off a mighty stink. Letting LaVine slip through their fingers buried them behind desperation and it’s going to cost Money Mike Dunlevy his job.
Lebron going to introduce Luka to his pharmacist.
After Stephen Curry retires and Steve Kerr retires that organization will go back to being average
Average? Try awful
Trade 5 cheeseburgers and 3 donuts for zion
Draymond used to be a juicy liability but now he's just a liability. They missed the opportunity to trade him for something worthwhile. I love how I don't have to put this guy on x1.5 or even x2
Bring kd back if they can 🤷🏿♂️
"Longterm conditioning for Luka by LeBron" = translation = BALCO

I would love to see Steph and LeBron play in the same team. Both of them try to get one more ring before they retire. The two best players of the old aired. Plus the ratings would be through the roof.
Erm sure sure it's long term conditioning not steroids and there was no collusion and there is logic in the Luka trade...
Oh, there is logic. It's called money. The Mavs ownership is sus.
@@acctsysoh yeah but then its collusion but for sure....
Do you really believe Paul George was a star in the offseason and “all of a sudden” his contract is awful? Feel like casual could’ve told you that the second ink hit paper
No team really thinks long term outside of OKC and SA
Jimmy and draymond would definitely clash. They would be the first players to get ejected for fighting mid game amongst teammates
I wish Kerr would stop saying our team is not Tallented
i feel like the warriors should just start tanking to get into the lottery and get a high pick in this draft, this class is better than last class so they should do it
They can't tank with Curry on the roster
Steph wouldn’t allow it
Brandon Ingram is a Future Chicago Bulls
That’s just nasty
aw man so close
Ben Simmons would actually work in the GS system as an immediate replacement for dray.
I don't hate this take

SG GP2

C a 7 footer (more than likely just Draymond though….)

I find it funny that as soon as the lakers made a trade the warriors decided to ask about every all star possible
It's honestly sad how nobody wants to deal with the warriors. They'd rather stay a play in team then watch the warriors win another title
Warriors won’t win this decade

No. The Mavericks were desperate. The warriors clearly aren't 🤣
Klutch Sports Group run LA so nothing goes down with out their okay, so dont be surprise if Bron will be on the move...
Why not Butler+picks for Durant
Because what’s the point of adding Butler if Durant isn’t there
@SportingLogically but then why move it to the Warriors, is the same argument.
Nope
