Great video. For evolutions people always sleep on rats, sentret, starly and ledyba. They're so common that you can accumulate lots of candy for them to evolve. Obviously the 12 candy evolutions are in a league of their own, but mixing in these 25 candy evolutions can get you more mass evolution pokemon to evolve and quicker.

On holding shadow pokémon for special events to remove frustration I would like to make the note that to allow the pokémon to be more viable for use before said event you can give it a second charge move and that will make it something that you can potentially use before removing frustration especially if it's something you plan to eventually have to charge moves on anyways.
this is a great, great tip especially if you have a community day coming up for a shadow pokémon and you will not be able to TM away frustration in order to get the community day move, this allowed me to get a shadow Charizard with blast burn and dragon breath even though I hadn't yet gotten to TM away that frustration during a TGR event yet. very underrated tip!
Soooo much information, lol! I’ve been playing for years but only intermittently. Note that my grandsons are older, I play daily. But, they understand the game MUCH better than I. So, this video has opened my eyes to a lot of new information. Thank you!
yoo whats going on looking back on this video in my community we all made a team and now we all getting 50 poke coins and we make the spoofers leave our area because of how much we control the gyms !!! love the video.
Waow, just started playing yesterday. This was to much info I I bet its good video, but I was pretty lost with the word pokoball.... think I will come back when I have seen some more beginner level content videos Thx for a great work
These are great tips and you can even chain them together to save stardust and maximize XP and Candy. For example, during Halloween events which have double catch and transfer candy bonus, catch wild Haunters with Pinap Berry to get 1 XL candy and 5 x2 x2 = 20 Gastly candy. Trade the Haunter to a friend for candy, they can put the Haunter in a gym at night. Next day when the Haunter gets knocked out they can evolve it for free into a stronger Gengar to defend another gym for XP: your friend earns a candy from evolving Pokemon. Finally transfer Gengar once it is knocked out assuming it has bad IVs.
This worked for me. If two trainers have been playing for more than a year, and each have less than 11 lucky pokemon, trading pokemon that were caught more than one year ago are highly likely (if not automatically) to be lucky trades. If you have the patience, you can be well rewarded with your Legendary trades.
i’m almost a year with zero luckies… and accidentally deleted so many shiny in the beginning 🤦🏻♀️ i know. ok, i know :,c Anyway, i don’t really have much like i just have so many of the same more basic pm besides the raids i’ve done and most of those raids whether it was from 1-5 star raids / mega , most of them are only two stars with not amazing IVs - a lot more that i need to work on.

I am a pretty new player and really apreciate these tips, however I will probably forget most of them soon. But I also struggle a lot with living in a small town and having few friends. I also don't want to just reveal where I live to reddit strangers and there aren't any organized raids or gym rotations here so I will have many days without 50 coins and some where 3 pokemon get kicked out for nothing. Without doing those higher raids I don't get good pokemon to defeat GoRocket Bosses, defeat raids myself or be competetive in GoBattle leage. Living in an area with few players really is a struggle and already made me spend some because I just had to increase my bag and pokemon space a bit.
I have been playing for only a year, and I would say that for storage, try to get around 300-400 items spaces for bag storage and at minimum 50 extra pokemon storage
My best tips are to pay attention to the special events the Bonus XP bonus Candy Bonus Stardust, the Com days, those bonuses are huge and they are what carries you.... And the second tip is take advantage of social Event moves, I only have a few Metagross with the special Event move Meteor Mash and that one is just beast and it's huge it's far and beyond better than other moves and other Pokemon... So pay attention to special event moves.

My pokemons lasted 3-4 days in the gyms because very few people play Pokemon Go in my area. Its a blessing and a curse. You dont have to worry people taking down your gym at the same time your pokemon will stuck in a gym for weeks if people dont attack you
I got a larvitar from an egg and evolved it instantly as it was 92% IV. But I don't have enough candy for tyrannitar should I use my rare candies. I don't have any rock type attacker above 1500 cp so I'm thinking about it. I need like 50 rare candies

I am not f2p but my gym strategy is to only take gyms once a week and pretty much take 20 of them that day and you will pretty much get knocked out of a gym every day of the week and then by the end of that week you can go back out and get some more and that’s your 50 coin every day
I have 2 accounts i started the same time to compare paying vs not paying. Not paying I'm at level 31 and since I recently moved next to a gym can basically farm pokecoins daily. My paid account I'm at level 41 but my storage is maxed and have collected almost everything released in the game so far. I could go back and check the bank but I have no doubt ive dropped atleast $1k in 2 years. My f2p is still pretty weak tbh so I've started maxing out my daily trades to increase the IVs of good pokemons. I can only hold 350 still so I have to be picky. All in all paying just adds more freedom and easy access. Having a lot of friends helps too.

I play Pokemon GO extensively, but PVP has never interested me. I suppose the Stardust awards mean I would be well served by making a token effort towards it, however. Do you have any videos specifically around how to get started in PVP?
I have a playlist full of GBL commentary battles, along with a video explaining PvP IVs and why they are important, but I don't think I've actually made a beginners guide. I told myself if I hit Legend again this season, I would create more PvP guides; so let me see what I can do 👍
What’s a good CP base for raids? Like if I want to power up a Pokémon to ~2500CP to use it in the ultra league, is that a high enough cp that it could be useful in a raid?
Yeah that’s right! 2500 CP Pokémon with matching type moves are solid for raids. A better metric for raids though is to power up to level 30 for the best bang for your buck. Level 30 is really easy to figure out in game because the increase in CP will be cut in half. For example you’ll see +50 CP per powerup on some legendaries up to level 30. Afterwards it will only power up +25 CP. since the cost increases steeply and the payoff is double I often stop here for my raid attackers unless it’s a particular favourite of mine.
If you plan on evolving that way, I would save them up for when we have 2x XP for evolves. Usually happens at least once a month during spotlight hours
I have a search tag filled with Pokemon I wanna power up, so I just focus on those investments; but that is definitely a great strategy if you are on a budget!
Regarding AR scanning, you can put your finger in front of the camera and it will detect your capillaries as "movement." So you don't actually scan anything and the file is smaller when you upload it.
Be careful. Niantic does not like cheats like that and if you do it too much your account will first get a warning, then a perma-ban. They use the scans as data for wayfarer and their other games, and having junk data is a loss for them. If they notice they'll also ban all your linked accounts.
Living in the middle no where is great for getting coins lol my brother and I are on diff teams and every night I kick him out then every morning he kicks me out
Nice vid!! I'll check out some of your others as well. I'm mostly FTP. I'm rural so learned early on that Niantic cares more about money than the user experience. Everybody should know they aren't good at interaction. They didn't even tell people how to play when the game was released. I have a Messenger raid group so I pay to help out there since it's the circle of remote raid life :) Gym battling: I usually raid through the entire group once if I need 3 battles each. Then I burn through one Pokemon at a time hoping that no one catches on before I beat them the next two battles :) . Is the teaming up on one Pokemon tactic still possible? There was something about going to 20% left and letting their Pokemon attack. Then another trainer starts a battle and does the same. And then a third. Then you can knock the Pokemon out in one go. Thanks for the 40m from a single family residence tip on poke stops. I'll definitely be taking photos with this in mind. Gotcha is fricking awesome. Catches and spins when I can't and I don't have to be a lemming and push a button to do it. When I'm in a pokestop heavy area I switch my autocatcher to spin only and then cull so I have buckets of red pokeballs to autocatch when I'm rural (my home). I'm having trouble getting my buddy to give me repeat hearts. Berry, picture, belly rub every 30 minutes and... nothing.
This video should of been called “The Bible to FTP” seriously. This is it right here!

Ty for all the tips well finsh it wen I get home from work
I pretty much do F2P. The only time I ever buy anything in game is for special events like GO fest. And even then I spend like $10 just to get a few more passes or whatever.
Me remembering when niantic gave you free storage when new gens came out
That only happened once when Gen 2 was released 😅
@LuckyBunz omg is that true 😭 I was giving them way too much credit
I got a larvitar from an egg and evolved it instantly as it was 92% IV. But I don't have enough candy for tyrannitar should I use my rare candies. I don't have any rock type attacker above 1500 cp so I'm thibk about it. I need like 50 rare candies
I might... I would definitely walk it
wow, 3 raidpasses was once 250 .. now they 525 ,, pfff greedy niantic
if i transfer a pokemon from go to home will it give me the 2x transfer candy if i do it on a 2x transfer candy event?
The Purest Pogo Player! Thank you for all the great content!
should i keep 5 ho ohs? i already have one shiny should i transfer the rest?
I find it hard to get pokeballs and waste like 10 poke balls catching 1 Pokemon any tips on getting more Pokemon?
Nice video, thanks....... FYI the poke storage space is now 4500
Yeah, I put it on screen around 2:46 haha 😅
Saw your gift location...You in Santa Clarita? I grew up there. I don't live in California but my parents still live near Canyon High.. i visit santa clarita nearly every year. it's a very nice city. I miss that weather! it's supposed to snow where i am today with 40 mph winds! Thanks for the videos and info. This has been helpful as I'm a new player. 👍
Man this is a great video
Ty for a lovly and helpful video om UA-cam
👍
The bigger issue i have for gyms is there arent alot of players in my area so my pokemon are just stuck in gyms
The longest my Pokémon go was in the gym was 31 days
@@trapz6342 don't think I've every quite gone that long but Mr mime just spent 29 days in a gym. All that and I missed out on coins as another pokemon was knocked out of a gym that day
Have you heard about the guy with a Pokemon stuck on the Great Canyon for over a year?
Great 🎥:)
tfw you have no friends who play near you and no alt devices. pokemon you have always been able to trade over the internet and idk why they wont do it here. it limits so many players
Take a shot every time he says link in the description, good luck making it to the end :)
been playing casually for abt 6 months, am level 34 1/2. is this any good?
i hate spoofer with 10 account dominate atleast 10 gyms at my area. they kick out non spoofer player almost immediately 😢
Free to play means free to play. If you spend a single penny on the game, you aren’t F2P. Doesn’t matter what you spend it on.
Damn Finished this very long video. But very informative
Would it be wise to just evolve pokemon just before transferring? (assuming you have enough candy, and they are not meta relevant)
If you plan on evolving that way, I would save them up for when we have 2x XP for evolves. Usually happens at least once a month during spotlight hours
So I've learn today that trading and Pokemon Genie are OP
enjoy the journey you say, 16 m/s wind with rain/snow for 4-5 months straight there is.
Poke Daxi has a recent video claiming that AR mapping does not remove pokestops
I exclusively use lv1 meltans for my the power up tasks, infinite candy and lowest cost possible.
Woah that is very interesting, I will need to try that out!
Be careful. Niantic does not like cheats like that and if you do it too much your account will first get a warning, then a perma-ban. They use the scans as data for wayfarer and their other games, and having junk data is a loss for them. If they notice they'll also ban all your linked accounts.
Why do some locations get 2 free raid passes a day?
Damn, I've got the biggest challenge here. I'm trying to be free to play and not have to walk ANYWHERE. Haha
Now there is no remote raid passes bundle, buying 3 individually costs the same as buying 3 in a bundle...
Living in the middle no where is great for getting coins lol my brother and I are on diff teams and every night I kick him out then every morning he kicks me out
I just use an alt account to knock myself out of the gym daily, before I did that it could be days before I got 50 coins.
I never see the free weekly remote raid pass- is it still available nowadays? I only see the free daily box
The free weekly remote raid pass was removed, and replaced with various premium items each week. Boxes can still be redeemed every Monday
Bold of you to assume i would give Mystic my spoils.
Every time i put a pokemon in gym or take down a gym (the proper way) i get purged less den 30min smh
Nice vid!! I'll check out some of your others as well.
I'm mostly FTP. I'm rural so learned early on that Niantic cares more about money than the user experience. Everybody should know they aren't good at interaction. They didn't even tell people how to play when the game was released.
I have a Messenger raid group so I pay to help out there since it's the circle of remote raid life :)
Gym battling: I usually raid through the entire group once if I need 3 battles each.
Berry, picture, belly rub every 30 minutes and... nothing.
