angelic beautiful heavenly voice. she had no training so she is singing with the voice of mother nature gave her. this is the best voice in the world.
Pitch perfect and crystal clear. Second key change always hits me in the gut.
She was born March 27, 2004, so in this recording she would be 13.
Her first 'public' performance was on Queens day, Apr 30, 2011. It's tradition among children in Holland to perform in parks and similar places on this day to celebrate their queens birthday, and to get some money to by candy. Amiras older brother was going to perform playing the violin and she also wanted to do something. Being just 7 yo and not playing any instrument she decided she would sing and searched on UA-cam for a song she liked. Two years later, in 2013, at the age of 9 and without any formal vocal training she won Holland Got Talent.

Amira has been singing since she was 9 yrs old ..She was self taught when she won her first talent show ..Since then she has gone from strength to strength ..She is now singing with a much more mature voice and can hold her own against some of the worlds best ..

Well Eddie it just doesn't get any better than that! The song was written in 1779 by John Newton and is a staple Christian hymn! Amira is without peers in my opinion! She donates large portions of her income to build playgrounds for children in poor areas!Just a very special young woman!

I recommend "Max Proms" from December 2017 when Amira was still 13. It has both "O Mio Babbino Caro" by Puccini & "Your Love", the latter from the movie "Once Upon A Time in the West". Amira is now 15. She, her mother, & brother moved to South Africa, the birthplace of her mother, in Jan. 2018. "Amazing Grace" was written in the 18th century by John Newton, an English cleric, who originally was the master of a slave ship. Later he became an enemy of slavery & a friend of the founders of the English anti-slavery movement. "Grace" in the title refers to the view that God's gives his favors freely, w/o transactions. The song is sung in Protestant Christian churches in the U.S. & elsewhere. In the U.S., it is often played at the funerals of "first responders" (who died in the line of duty), often accompanied by bagpipes. The song is pretty even if one is not a Christian or theist. Amira sang this song at the 2017 performance of "Classics Are Great" in South Africa. The W in Willighagen is pronounced like an English V. There are four syllables In Willighagen.
What makes Amira unique as a child singer is that she is not just singing but also makes visual performances where everything is beautiful. Performing with background singers and full orchestra involves a lot of people and she wouldn't be invited to these events if she didn't always deliver.

The performance took place the end of June 2014. She was invited to perform with Andre Rieu and his orchestra in front of almost 15,000 people many of whom she left in tears. ..here is the link

It is considered by many to be one of the most amazing performances of an operatic aria by a 10 year old eve. Isrselir heard. You will find it hard to believe that she could have such incredible control over her almost unbelievable voice at that age. The audience just erupted into a standing ovation.
She sings the entire aria of O Mio Babbino Caro. The same aria she sang a truncated version of on HGT. It not often you will see a 10 year old with hardly,any formal training actually interpret the aria and perform it like a seasoned professional.
In a way this performance sets up the template for her entire career. I guarenteeshe will leave you in disbelief when you see this little girl invited onto th3e stage and then she starts to sing.

She was just 12 years old for this performance the tone of her voice and her control of her voice and vibrato is other worldly. This is a special arrangement written for Amira by a South African composer that really suites and highlights Amiras ability. Superb rendition and performance, truley magical.
Amira is the best and Holland is proud of her👍👏ave maria is very beautiful. She moved to South Africa in 2018 for her music career. If she has time she stated in an interview she would like to be a lawyer😀

'Amazing Grace' is a Christian hymn by an Englishman, John Newton, published in 1779. It is his personal testimony.
I was introduced to Amira's work by the late Ruven Mannheim, an Israeli citizen who grew up in Berlin during WWII, the child of a Protestant Christian mother and a Jewish father, and who became a kibbutznik after WWII, helped defend his kibbutz during the early attacks on Israel, and then spent the rest of his working life in the Israeli Merchant Marine. Why do I mention this? Because you're Israeli, and you should be, and mostly likely are, proud of people like Ruven. I know I am, though I'm not Israeli, or Jewish. He was my friend for many, many years.

"Classics is Groot" is the annual big concert in South Africa. The title is in Afrikaans, hence the 'Groot', which simply means 'great'. In 2017 Amira was 13 years old, and just coming into puberty. Now she is 16, and her voice and body are fully developed. The sky is the limit for her.

The following procedure will allow one to pronounce Willighagen adequately or so I think. Divide Willighagen into four syllables as follows: will - ig -ha- gen. Replace the letter w in will with the English letter V. The result is "vill". Pronounce that by saying the v sound followed by "ill" (ill as in "The patient is very ill."). Say it so that it rhymes with bill or dill or Jill or hill or kill or sill or till. Pronounce "ig" to rhyme with big or dig or fig or gig or fig or twig or zig (as in zig-zag). Pronounce "ha" to rhyme with "ga" as in Lady Ga-ga or "la" as in la-la-land or as in "Ha-ha that is funny." Pronounce "gen" to rhyme with den or "Ben" as in Benjamin or "en" in "end "without the ending "d" sound. AT best, this is a rough guide, but it should help especially the substitution of the letter V for the letter w. Also, listen to judge Gordon's pronunciation of Amira's last name in her audition video. Amira agrees with his pronunciation of her last name.

Amira is a delightful singer and this was an excellent performance. The fact that you liked the special "flavor" added by the bagpipers says you like music that is "interesting". This is really awesome: normally no one would ever believe that a 10 year old can get 15,000 people in total silence and lots of them also in tears. Well: Amira did do just that in this video. And watch also the conductor, André Rieu: how careful he is leading Amira through the entire song, knowing she was capable doing it but also realising she was just a little girl, needing some support.
