Good a/b demo, but why did you pan the synths when they're both mono anyway? I found that to be annoying, and since this is video we can already SEE which synth you're playing, yknow?
+Kenny Bressler because its blue :) actually after cutting the resonance at the mix down in the spectrum , probably both are very very close ... And at the mix down you have to cut the strong resonances
I can guarantee that you're saying that purely because it's vintage. If you would be blindfolded and asked to say which one was better, you could easily have picked the Sub Phatty. It's called confirmation bias, look it up.
Hello lucheng123 ;-) Thanks for the comparison work so direct between a vintage Moog and a current model, personally I appreciate a lot it friend, the reason is that I love the sound of the Source for years, but more that I want to buy one, their prices go up every day more and I see it as impossible. I wish you'd tell me if you think really a Sub you can practically to make the sounds of Source, including those more soft and mellow that vintage makes perfect for leads. What do you think? Thank you very much and gets a warm greeting from BARCELONA.
Idk why anyone disliked this video, it's a very transparent A/B comparison with no talking, pretty much exactly what it says it is.
Oh I love the source.
But actually the sub sounds great to my ears too. Just pure moog really.
My question is.... Can a studio own to many moogs?

The synth audios are hard panned???!!!
Source wins
Babyblue57 Really? Is it cause it's vintage, or because it's blue? Or both?

sub phatty holds it's own. Not a bad little synth at all. Plus it's new and half the price of a source these days...

Too much silence between each synth
hi, just wondering if you would be interested in selling your moog source?
cheers
conor
Check ebay
Because sound better and i have one.
Source by far. True, the fact that its blue enhances its appeal but its also got that "squelch" that the sub just can't seem to reproduce
Nothing in it.
