While I have to admit that I have always preferred a soprano for this lovely song, Bernheim artistry and musicianship almost convinced me that a male voice is just as apt.
Faux la plus belle version est de loin c est celle de fritz wuderlich c est simple c est le top et aucune femme ni homme d ailleurs ne lui arrive a la cheville

great piano... The tener too opera.
Seltsam, sobald er ins Piano geht, verliert seine Stimme 50% des Glanzes, oder vielleicht besser gesagt, sobald er laut wird, was bei diesem Lied eigentlich fehl am Platz ist (meistens im pianissimo), gerät er in einen Domingo ähnlichen Opernklang der Stimme, was vielleicht bei Granada passen könnte…
C est bien musicalement parlant mais vocalement ce n est pas assez énergique trop de pianissimo il faut une vision plus lyrique de l interprétation dommage
Schade. Ich hatte mir mehr Einfühlungsvermögen erhofft. Keine schöne Interpretation. Aber das Klavier ist super. Das Tempo und die Interpretation ist hervorragend. Nur beim Gefühl des Sänger komm ich nicht mit. Das finde ich bei ihm nicht.

Le piano est tout en subtilité et la voix porte émotions et douceur .
Ihr seid ein kongeniales Musikerpaar. Der Mut und die Kunst, das Tempo des Liedes bis zur absoluten Schmerzgrenze zu reduzieren und dabei so einen fantastischen Spannungsbogen auf dem Klavier zu erzeugen ist ganz große Klasse. Vielen Dank für dieses Juwel. Beschert uns noch viele solcher Geschenke!

Hier lohnt der Vergleich mit Fritz Wunderlich, der mir bei aller Wertschätzung und tiefste Bewunderung für B.B. unerreicht bleibt! Wie überhaupt Tenöre gültiger dies interpretieren. Mit welch flutenden Unangestrengtheit F.W. "Morgen" aufscheinen läßt!

@@catherineduparc217 ce n est pas du tout mon répertoire je chante Verdi Puccini je ne chante pas de lied je suis un ténor lyrique lui c est un ténor léger parfait pour Mozart rossini wuderlich était un ténor léger comme vanzo ou gedda moi je serais plutôt caruso ou bjorling dans la tessiture mais bernheim chante bien c est un pro mais ce n est pas historique ça reste une voix modeste mais il faut savoir chanter pour connaître et moi je sais pas vous ca c est sur

The pianist is outstanding. I think the falsetto singing is stylistically inappropriate. Excellent production values.
