Ana, I think the key is to end the blue area with a stripe of clean water and then to switch to yellow. That clean water will prevent mixing to some extent. I did have a bit of mixing in going on there, but because paint is so diluted it looked natural. Also tilting the paper the other way and then drying it flat keeps blue paint from seeping into yellow too much. Hope this helps.
How did the yellow and blue (in the sky) not mix and become green on paper? That's one of my biggest issues
