- We continue our Gen2 BRZ build journey and turn the focus on suspension. We wanted to find the best suspension combo that would keep this car class legal in Sport 4 for time attack. That meant sway bars, camber plates, springs and shocks. No coilovers. Did we find a good combo? Watch to find out.

It's nice that you explain each modification. Most channels just slap stuff on and call it better. I am very interested in autoxing and maybe doing local track day and time trials with my car. Like that you explained the classes, and why you chose those parts.
We all go through this decision process when modding. Hoping these videos shed some light on why choose one over the other.

Kosei K1 wheels 17x8.5 et40. Tires are 235/45/17 RT660
Are we able to tune out the cold start yet?
How do the stiffer ARBs effect the car over bumps, especially around corners? I do mostly road driving and making the car too stiff slows me down on bumpy roads.
They do make the ride a bit bumpier as more of the suspension motion felt on one side of the car transfer to the other side through the sway bars.
The Cup Kit on your website, is it installed at Stratified or do you source it to Dales for example?
Install and alignment to our specs will be done at our partners for now. We can also of course bring the parts in our shop for you to source installation.

Perhaps. We have content in the works on how to improve this setup further.
Noticed you switched to Koni Yellows on website any reason for that?
Yes. The rear perches to fit the springs. We had to modify them on our Bilsteins to fit the eibachs. The Konis don’t need any modification.
The RT660 is a great tire for autocrossing (I have a set) but I know they tend to overheat on a track.
Agree not the best track tire.
@@stratifiedauto - Still would like to see how the BRZ performs on the track. I'm autocrossing my GR86 and plan on tracking too.
It is great on track especially in the sport class.

@@stratifiedauto so for clarification, for a fresh FA24 that's 100% stock, we're looking at $1200 USD for a tune for two fuels (91 and E85), but I would have to bring a Cobb AP?
Does this suspension set up sacrifice comfort for performance
Not very much at all. The sport setup is a very nice compromise.
What wheels are those? Spec?
Since no one has asked here yet... what are you thoughts on the whole oil pressure loss debate? Considering you are going to be tracking it are you concerned? Any plans on running baffle / oil cooler / higher weight / weight etc...
Interesting you ask. So we do have a horizontal baffle in the car and run 5w30 oil. We do have upgraded cooling and just today installed oil pressure instrumentation. Next track day is this weekend and we are collecting data … and will share shortly.

Just be careful when setting the washer in. This is not that common of an occurrence - as in I didn’t see too many share this issue but it can happen.
@@stratifiedauto I installed them myself over a year ago so I don't remember - hopefully I did it right! the alignment guys seemed impressed but who knows

Seems a bit silly that in one class you assemble a new coilover vs buying a set.
Sometimes the rules are silly. But the selection for springs and shocks for this chassis is much slimmer than coils.
