Cardio is crap... I'm here for the comedy... and yet again, not disappointed by the giggles from Gluck! Only YOU could get me to watch a video about rowing... well done sir.
Thanks for the great review. I have the Peloton Rower and really like it. My wife uses it more than me. I normally do 10-15 min of rowing as a warmup before i get busy lifting. Rowing is a great exercise for those folks who have joint issues and need something that really works your cardio but has a low enough impact to your joints. I totally recommend rowing over all other forms of cardio. Thanks again for the review.
😂😂😂😂. “You will be just as miserable….” I have no intention of ever buying a rower, but I watched this entire review because it’s so entertaining and very informative.
@@JDawg271the “value” is some people shop on price alone. How do you think Mitsubishi has been able to sell the Mirage. Total POS car but it’s cheaper new and has 4 wheels, that’s all some people see.
C 2 all the way. The monitor makes up for the price difference all by itself. And I just use it to program intervals and such. For anyone who is a real competitive rower, or even just serious about carefully tracking one's results, the PM 5 stands out even more.
If you were to do a side by side for Calories, Meters, Watts, etc do they perform equally? The BOS monitor may suck but if a pull is 1:1 compared to the C2 it may be worth it.
I've had 2 experiences with Bell's both bad, first was their trap bar felt claustrophobic in it too small, then 1 year later went to buy the arch nemesis bar and was told it was in stock went there and they didn't have it but could get one from the other warehouse (I'm in Toronto) but would take 3 weeks!
Used C2: cheaper than the Bells, and after you put a few more thousand Kms on it you can resell it for every penny you spent. Good luck reselling a Bell's rower for more than $.25 on the dollar.
It's time to come out and admit that I am a rower, and as such, it was difficult to watch the rowing in this video. As for the differences between the rowers, I think C2 is better in each aspect that was changed. The heel plate being higher means that you basically can't row shoeless since I feel like the pressure on your achilles would get really annoying, really fast. The foot straps on the Bells seem like they would limit flexion on the ball of the foot. And as you pointed out, the screen is garbage compared to the PM5. Though, the foam on the Bells handle reminds me of the C2 model C which is a nice nostalgia kick back to high school, so there is that. Also, $1100 vs $850 is only a $250 difference, not $350, but you never claimed math was your strong suit.
My masculinity is constantly challanged by heavy gym equipment assembly. I treat it like a video game: The number of people required for assembly is merely a challenge Very Difficult = 4 Person lift, Difficult = 3 Person lift, Medium = 2 Person lift, Easy = 1 Person lift
If you just want a solid rower to do your cardio once or twice a week, the Bells one or any other knock-off is probably fine, except the really cheap shit ones. But if you have any competitive aspirations or want to make valid comparisons against a larger population, the Concept 2 is untouchable as the industry standard. The PM5 is excellent and the Concept 2 community is bigger than any knock-off, plus you have the BikeErg and SkiEg in the same ecosystem.
Coop seems to think shipping prices don't exist- he never values the free shipping brands as highly because he ignores rogue's cost to ship, especially to outside the Midwest

I try my best 😂
You should really consider cardio if you actually care about your health

Which would you pick? Concept 2, Bells of Steel, or is there another one we should check out?
Used concept 2 they're tanks and can beat BOS on price. If there is any warranty left that's transferable.

Great Post and Love the comedy and the hard truth.
What app did you connect the BOS To?
BOS keeps coming out with new products. Good for them.
A little late, and I'd already seen this video on Patreon, but watched again for the algorithm (and the crossfit and Canada jokes). Love my C2 rower!
You're what we need more of!
I’m just here for the fish game…the only reason I’ve ever popped a squat on a rower! 😂 9:36
Cool idea. Haven’t seen this kind of comparison before. Digging your content
Thank you! Always try to be thorough
What is the app you recommend for rowing on BOS?
outstanding, another video. Was starting to worry.
Hahaha. Back to our normal schedule now
I cam here to do 2 things, chew bubble gum and watch this video all the way to the end.....and I am all out of bubblegum!
I love rowing but I have a super cheap air rower that doesnt track anything.
As long as you can still get a workout in!
Concept2 only because you can pair it with the SkiErg.

I avoid cardio with such a passion that I pee sitting down.
