I cried when I heard he passed. I always wanted to go see him on The Opry. He was one of the greatest voices and what a wonderful person he seemed to be. Not too many TRUE TRADITIONAL COUNTRY SINGERS left.
I met Jim Ed during a visit backstage at the Opry about 20 years ago. He was very friendly and down to earth. His passing was indeed a huge loss for country music fans.
If you have been in the man vs. woman " battles" you get this song. I am 73 years old and I have been loved and hurt what seems like a million times. Hey........it's life ! Thank you Jim Ed Brown !
I can understand My parents are still with me and in good health But Every time I see a piece of Red Velvet Cake I’m reminded that my Granny has been gone 24 years and I will almost tear up every time Because she made one of the best ones I have ever eaten
Marvelous singer, Jim Ed Brown. You have the most calming, soothing voice ever. Could listen to YOU ALL day, every day. Thanks much for entertaining your fans and me, after all these years. You sing with your HEART, and it touches mine. Thank you.
Country music changed, humans changed, everything changed , we live and witness a world empty of feelings, respect, simpaty where money and sex rules and time is never big enough for simple things. Rest in peace to all country singers, peoples from ole days and any positive emotions!
What a wonderful voice he had, just perfect for a song like this. I emailed him many years ago, and was so pleased that he responded; a very gracious thing to do.
i know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Kendrick River Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Real life with a Country Song about it. A song MOST of us can relate to. Sad to say. Johnny Russell wrote a great song....Jim Ed did a great job singing it.
I do everytime I listen to this, Jim Ed, what a range, fabulous voice, and all around good guy, Johnny Russell, you both will be forever missed by this old fan! Thank you Mr. Anderson and Mr. Black for keeping their memories alive!
I watched a video showing another clip and realize the girl in the blue dress is not Gunilla because the actual Gunilla is sitting next to her but she sure looked like a young Gunilla . Maybe someone else could give us the accurate info. I love these old shows. I wonder if Bill Anderson is hosting any new shows with the older entertainers ?

Beautiful song, and can be very true for some. Move on anyway. Saw Jim Ed in concert and sounded just as good in person. Talented artist.
Just read his wife's book. It pained her greatly watching him & Helen Cornelius sing together after the pain they caused her. Very sad.

Who is the guitar player sitting behind Mr. Brown? He is the man playing a red/white guitar. I have seen him on quite a few videos.
That's the legendary Jimmy Capps!
RIPJimmy Capps
Died 6-2-2020. 81 years old. One of the best . RIP Jimmy.
Who is that in the blue dress?

I watched a video showing another clip and realize the girl in the blue dress is not Gunilla because the actual Gunilla is sitting next to her but she sure looked like a young Gunilla . Maybe someone else could give us the accurate info. I love these old shows. I wonder if Bill Anderson is hosting any new shows with the older entertainers ?
That’s Irlene Mandrell in the blue. Total smoke show!
The fair skin blond in the black dress is Mitzy Rowe. This show had a lot of the old Hee Haw cast.
@@metfan412 She must have been a late, late bloomer, lol.
What a voice
