- The Kurganets is a new-generation Russian armored personnel carrier. It was developed alongside the whole family of new armored vehicles. This vehicle is often referred as 'Kurganets', however its exact designation might be different. There are two variants of the Kurganets the armored infantry fighting vehicle and the armored personnel carrier. Both of them are members of the same new-generation family of armored vehicles. Both the versions are essentially identical, except the turret. Tracked APCs are expensive to procure and maintain as compare to wheel vehicles, like new bumerang 8 by 8, however these have superior cross country mobility than wheeled ones. It is designed to replace the BMP-2 and M T - L B platforms in mechanized formations of the Russian army. The Kurganets is manufactured by Kurganmashzavod, the plant that produced the previous generations of BMP-1, BMP-2 and BMP-3 vehicles.

Wow! What a Masterpiece of a military Machine!!!
Thanks for your efforts .⚘🇸🇦
Very good overview of this new Russian APC/IFV system. Thank you.
At around 1:00 you showed a BMP-3 not a BMP-2
just one of MANY mistakes in this offering from armour desia. im really starting to doubt their ability to do a basic research project.
How the hell do you mistake a bmp-2 for a 3 XD
allegedly should be best ifv of the world
New beast from Russia....
I wonder how many vehicle is being produce each year,I know the Russian will not be ordering large orders but I'm sure the plants are running around the clock's every year.
not many believe me.. not many in the 2 figures
It got cancelled… 😢. The sad tale of Russian procurement.
Step 1. Something cool is unveiled
Step 2. It’s goes into “production”
Step 3. Out of nowhere it is cancelled
Step 4. People ask where it’s gone just to end up crying
AIFV Joint production in India OFB. Opportunity big units sell in India.
Well, red paint the snow?
1:03 БМП-3
1.06 мин БМП-3
10.3 light tank? gaijin?
wow....the Philippines need this...its perfect the one with the guided missile....it has no problem in land and water just what our army and navy wants its a totally complete package for fighting internal threats like terrorist, militias and many more....
This thing would boost Philippines power a lot! Unfortunately they don't have this 😔
Duerte agrees and kills a Drug Dealer for fun.
Why would internal threats demand AT guided missiles?)
@@heyhoe168 it's not just about the missiles, it's the good protection and light weight of the vehicle
Filipinos are small and weak - it would take 50 to push this after it broke down
Song name pls ?
Cool ... But 8 9 )
外挂装甲看起来是真抗揍
bmp-3 nothing can replace it, its best apc. Kurganets can be better just is they put a 100 mm anti tank gun or 105 mm on turret.
it have light tank variation with standard 125-mm with HE, HEAT-MP and APFSDS. But 57-mm autocannon is excellent too, cause it have ATGMS Kornet along. And Kornet is the only ATGM which can with ease oneshot even Merkava-5 and M1A2 for today. Maybe Javelins and other top-hitting ATGMS do it even better, but Kornets are battle-proven.
The music kinda reminds me of RedEffect's channel
1:00 Not BMP-2 Soviet Union! That’s a BMP-3
That is not a Bmp-2 at 1:05
Bmp-3
How can they afford to upgrade so much at short time, at the same time, I smell a bubble
They can because the cost of russians vehicles are pretty low (less than 2 millions $ for an t72 b3 compared to 10+M for an m1a1 abrams, or 8-9M for a leopard 2a5)
Imao i think it's because the russian business is more oriented for making something usefull /cost effective (mi 35, su-35, bmp 3) than americans who overprice as hell to make profit:
M1161 growler: 209 000 $ upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/24/USMC_Growler.jpg
good old t-55: ~167 000 $ (brand new) www.army-guide.com/eng/product415.html
30K $ (used) allafrica.com/stories/199812200018.html
I think they can upgrade kurganet to become amphibious light tank with 105 turret
Why 105
can we say its a M2 bradley but its Russian and amphibious?
Very pretty , but can Russia afford many ?
Well, replacing half the number of the old IFV's and establishing constantly working assembly lines is good enough for national defence. In case of war it will guarantee both initial fighting potential and possibility of production boost.
Knowing about the small military budget of Russia, everyone is asking the same question without understanding the system of spending in Russia. If Russia could not afford it, it would not be developing hundreds of different types of new weapons. In the United States, developing all these weapons alone would be worth trillions of dollars. Russia uses rubles at the internal rate and internal prices, which is several times cheaper than the dollar rate, and all components and parts are produced inside Russia for Russian money. Therefore, the cost of the final product is several times lower than the same product if it were made in the West. Therefore, all Russian weapons on the market are much cheaper than Western counterparts, while the quality is better.
I'll explain more simply, for example, for the manufacture of one part in Russia, a worker receives only one dollar. In the USA, for the manufacture of the same part, the same worker receives $ 5. Therefore, in Russia, prices are lower. At the same time, the apеtite of the military industrial complex in the United States is uncontrolled and they fill their pockets by raising prices by 2-3 times. Russia has a different mentality, strict control over the use of public money and quality control, which are monitored by special military inspectors. And the manufacturer cannot ask for a price that exceeds a certain percentage of the cost of the product.
NATO's IFV: weaker version of tank
Russian IFV: armored car with tracks and machine gun
