It's great to have an African leader with such great and wonderful VISION of his country, very contented, and deliberately striving to restore the dignity of his people 2 years down the line it's Marvelous even to hear the name of a 34 years then 36 years today, changes that are visible . President who doesn't talk but his actions are there for the WORLD to SEE ,he doesn't need to LIE. OR TALK. GOD BLESS YOU AND THE PEOPLE OF BURKINABE FOR BELIEVING IN A YOUNG VISIONARY LEADER.

Yes, is a disgrace that they still use those wigs. They can buy it only in uk because they only make them. That means, Africa still help them to grow their economy. They should use their own local stuff that symbolizes their own authority and readiness to uphold their own laws.Good job !

I agree with Ibrahim Traore. That is the way it should be because it is Burkina Faso not the U K. They should use traditional African attire. Bravo, bravo Ibrahim Traore. Watch out for Trumpf.

Get rid of suits, colonial wigs and all the history and geography books replacing them with real African history books of our ancestors who fought for our land and learning about African geography which makes sense than learning about history that has no importance to the African culture.

In France, and by extension in Francophone countries, wigs have never been part of legal attire, except perhaps in centuries gone by. It would be interesting why Burkina Faso (a former Fench colony later known as Upper Volta) would wear wigs. Many countries in Africa formerly under British rule have ditched this accessory: Tanzania in 1965, South Africa upon becoming a republic in the early 60s, Namibia and Kenya (albeit haltingly) and there is news that Malawi is about to do so. Could the creator clarify?

Colonial wigs in Burkina Faso. What colonial wigs? Burkina Faso was a French colony before 1960 and French did not wear wigs, so which colony did they got the wigs from?

This is strange… whighs were worn (still are) in British courts. Burkina Faso was a French colony, where this kind of carnival attire was never a custom. Is there any evidence ? What troll has invented this ?

Why would this be a a brave move and how does this benefit the ordinary citizen?

    • @pamelajudithrwanyarare8429

First of all, Uniforms are a very big business, so if one has to wear a uniform to work and this uniform must be sourced locally and using local material it means there are lots of local tailors, designers, weavers, machinists, etc that are going to be in business. This is genius. I wish I had thought of it before. It's very clever because local tailors are making very good money making uniforms for schools, can imagine what a contract with hospitals, police, judiciary, and other professions will mean to professionals in this industry? Immense amounts of money also remember he has blocked the Chinese from this supply chain so this is really good for Burkina Faso. This is actually not new, it happens in places like France Italy and even the UK. For example, only champagne from the Champagne region is allowed to be called Champagne and it has to be produced in France, do you know what that means for the French economy? This is going to be huge for the Burkina Faso economy and it can only get better before the whole world want to buy from them. Watch this space. This is not a political decision this is purely economics.

@pamelajudithrwanyarare8429 Pamela in all sincerety I wish Burkino Faso well but this post was about doing away with the western attire for judges. Besides knocking the west how does this help the ordinary citizen?
