Sad fact: The first film was based on a real plane crash. The real flight (Trans-World Air Lines Flight #800) actually had a group of teens off to Paris on board. Everyone on board died.
I believe the fourth movie was also based upon a true event; the 1955 Le Mans disaster, wherein debris from a car collision flew into the crowd and killed over 80 people. Even the bonnet of one car sliced through members in the crowd. But of course, George and Alex assumed it was “dramatic and unrealistic”.
@@kateeigs6457 Well, in all fairness, it is a bit unrealistic when you consider that the setting of the movie is about 60ish years on from the original accident, with a lot of safety regulations being added in the meantime.
The scene IS dramatic and unrealistic, the concept isn’t.
Here's the thing: those accidents including the 4th movie event are really rare chance events, so people can't exactly recreate them accurately.

I'm still traumatized because of these movies. My intrusive thoughts got worse after I watched them.
I dislike scary films because of this. Idk whether horror films are really that good for you, especially for people who are more sensitive. I'd reccomend not watching stuff like that if u have intrusive thoughts.
Edit: for the last time, I'm not telling anyone what to do lol. If you like scary films, cool. I am easily affected by horror, so I find it hard to understand why some people enjoy it.

I remember going to Alton Towers when we were in high school, and our teacher was like "does anyone have any movies they want to put on for the first leg of the journey" on our coach. Someone thought It'd be comedy genius and brought Final Destination 3.

everytime people marathon this i get excited for them, bc the second to last movie is so bad, but the last is a lot better. it feels like just having to get through the series, but then it ends on a much higher note. can't wait to see the boys watch it
Their reactions were rather disappointing… I’ve noticed they dismiss these films and seem to believe they are above the plot. Like at the beginning of the 5th movie when the couple breaks up, George turns his nose up at the lack of development-but the movie is establishing the relationships of the characters to set up their stakes later on.

Fun fact: On the first movie, most characters' surnames come from famous people envolved with horror movies or stuff. Billy Hitchcock comes from Alfred Hitchcock, Alex and Tod's surnames and names come from horror movie director Tod Browning, Valerie Lewton comes from Russian film director Val Lewton, and, to give some context to Jack and George, Agents Weine and Schreck come from German horror film director Robert Wiene and Dracula/Nosferatu actor Max Schreck

At first I thought George was gonna drink for every person dying... So I was instantly worried that George would be dead before he even finishes the first movie (I mean hell, I don't even think someone like him could survive ~180~ 292 shots in a row.)
292 died in that death, IIRC, and that includes Sam, Molly, and Nate (he was at a Bar but a piece of the wreckage took him).

Logically speaking, a bit of rust on any aircraft is a really bad issue. The smallest of cracks have caused many planes to split in pieces mid-flight. It's one of the reasons why the windows aren't squared anymore because Oval or round windows provide no area for the pressure to focus on.

Oh, I think the reason the tanning beds would have extremely high temps is for cleaning purposes since bacteria and all. Also the reason the 4th movie was so weirdly specific of details was because it was meant to be 3D.

The bolts were turning because of the vibrations from all the cars driving by. This is a real thing (maybe not to that degree) but it's why bolts in things like engines have certain torque specs you have to tighten them to. So that they don't vibrate loose.

There was actually a plane incident where some passengers saw a small crack next to the door when boarding. Mid flight the roof in the forward part of the cabin ripped off and the plane made an emergency landing with 1/3 of the roof missing. 1 person died but everyone else survived. It was Aloha Airlines flight 243

The 4th Final Destination film was the first one I saw on TV and I watched it with my dad when I was 14. Dad was laughing through the whole thing and he's the type that usually doesn't laugh at all. I remember him saying "this is like the best comedy I've seen in ages!" I was horrified with the film back then and couldn't understand why it's funny, I was still new and fresh with horror films. Now 12 years later, rewatching it, I can't stop laughing in fits! 🤣😂 I can see why my dad laughed it now. Although, the pool scene still feckin horrifies me, feck that.
Out of all the deaths the pool is what scares you?? Panzee, that's not how that'd happen, you'd just drown b4 the pressure built up. What you should be scared of is getting ran over (like the ambulance scene & the ending with the semi crashing through the store) that is actually possible

Fun fact about the second film. T.C. Carson, who plays Eugene, would later go on to voice Kratos in the first couple of God of War games. Christopher Judge voiced the character in the 2018 game and Ragnarök.
the way they did the special effects on these films is actually really cool its mainly practical effects instead of just cgi and stuff

I think the reason why the people get premonitions is because it causes them to freak out and everyone who would’ve died survived. Their survival brings more people and destruction into their inevitable end. Something that Death obviously wants; more deaths.
