Lol can confirm. Him and Maria cracking up over pee pee poo poo jokes was everything I saw Maria live once and the end of her set was her laying down on her back next to giant pugs on stage mouth-farting at the audience rofl
Maria’s perspective on all topics from existential doom to mental health to pop culture is not only so relatable but hilarious and insightful at the same time. She’s like a comedic therapist
The rambling non-sequiturs of Amy Sleeverson (Maria Bamford’s character in the incredible podcast Bonanas for Bonanza with Andy Daly and Matt Gourley) really brightened some of my darkest days during the pandemic. You could hear the empathy of the person even in that crazy shit. Forever grateful !
I read Maria's "Sure I'll Join Your Cult" recently and saw her in concert last year. She is me and my husband's absolute favorite comedian! To have her and her hubby on The Office Hours is an EPIC good time.
I'll never get over Maria Bamford's inexplicable humility (matched with very deserved pride and self assuredness). I understand that contextually her work is uniquely personal, but that is a merit, she's frankly right that people not getting her work is on them, but it's also, just fucking stupid. Bamford's a genius. Among the best to have ever done it, and far better than the majority of standups today.
Loved this episode, been excited since Thursday to sit down and watch this one. Maria’s book was a great read and I think her energy pairs really well with Tim’s, leading to what might be one of my favorite episode in a long time.
The energy in this episode is immaculate! 👏🌱✨ So so great to see and hear Maria B.❤ She is truly such a gem of a comedian, especially for folks in the neurodivergent community. And the Jeff Lewis plug!!! Much love ya’ll. Great Job 🙌
5:25 I love seeing Maria share this laughter with her husband. Especially with how she looks over to him as he cracks up after the "smells good" drop. #couplegoals
I love the band The Zombies and have seen them multiple times. I always wondered if I would see them play live and then I did a couple times recently and it was very fulfilling. Thank you Tim hardiker thank you big burger I very much appreciate this show and I'm sorry for the way that Google spelled your names.
Shane did SNL cuz there wasn't ever any bitterness. Also I don't think a dude who constantly jokes about his teenis is the classic alpha 😂 Matt and Shane are pure gold
so i know almost nothing about the beatles, but it really started to sound like religious talk. not modern religious talk, but old school stuff, veneration, renaissance, where the emotion was interwoven with the myth. in the same way i’d find it strange for someone to dislike “the odyssey” because it covered some antiquated religion, i’d find it strange to dismiss authors like dante. but turning on that same fact, i find it personally off-putting to be reminded of that when people discuss immensely great musical artists i’m not super familiar with. because i have some of those feelings too about artists that aren’t as mainstream as the beatles. like Tim’s own work, in fact! but im aware, due to the niche it has carved, that it’s art. i love it deeply sometimes, but it’s just art and just a thing i like. i like lots of other things and wouldn’t judge a person adversely or try to convert them if they didn’t like it. the beatles stuff can border on “conversion” for me. the songs are good. the art is good. but that’s all i see it as, and part of me automatically reacts like the southern pole of a magnet to the fervor of beatles love.
With the Beatles, it's all about the lesser- known. Rocky Raccoon .. Honey Pie.. I'm so tired.. what other rock band has a whole song about being tired??😆 also-- their oldest stuff , like on the BBC sessions, is total infant punk. "Slow Down" , "A Shot of Rhythm and Blues".. WAAAYYY better than the bible.. 🤘🤘🤘and I really love how they covered "girl group" songs like Mr. Postman , and honored their black influences like Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Simple can be great.
"Taylor Swift started it by herself" With hundreds of thousands of dollars from her parents With help from her dad who had some involvement with recording studios "Self-made billionaire" has always been a myth and will always be a myth.

@@BeanieKing I'm happy the show exposed me to some new art to check out. He's very talented
THIS is why i search "Maria Bamford podcast" like every other day

Glad you could drop in
Same. Could do without this host, tbh😅 Not a good mesh.
Tim and Maria compliment eachother so well. So many laughs.

i just adore Maria
Maria's old, midwestern housewife voice will never cease to be funny.
This episode was done skillfully.

The Jeffrey Lewis shirt is so unexpectedly based
Jeffrey needs to be a guest on the show ASAP!!

21:00 is quite a profound comment from Maria. What could be a more ambitious, collaborative creative project than a family?

Maria is such a legend. Can't wait to see her this weekend in Tampa
Bellissimo!
Shoutout to Ah-lee-cee-yah
Great episode
With you on The Beatles, Maria! (For the most part)
Maria is wrong about 4 things and they're all Beatles!
Thanks for not being a coward Tim. Expressions of solidarity with the oppressed, and calling out the oppressors, is good.
Maria Bamford in the Awesome Show made so much sense, she's perfect for that kind of absurdist joke
I watch Dr. Pimple Popper because finally there's a show where "someone is getting health care".
I'm trying to figure out a way to write this was fun episode that doesn't sound weird, but whatever you get it.
Hey Doug, great to see you're having fun down south
