- On September 2nd, 1984 the Banditos and the Comancheros outlaw motorcycle gangs clashed in a fierce public shootout on Father's Day. In this video we discuss the events that led to the massacre, with an emphasis on the relationship between the 2 rival biker gang presidents, William "Jock" Ross and Anthony "Snoddy" Spencer.

According to Caesar Campbell who was the Bandidos Sgt At Arms at the time said that the Bandidos were not even aware of the Comancheros being at the swap meet, that they had gone simply to look around. Yes the Bandidos had firearms but were very few and were there due to Snoddy only just coming back from a hunting trip with members of another Bandidos chapter. Caesar also stated that he approached the Comancheros in Milperra and called for them to drop their firearms and to fight like men. His books are a very interesting read.

Just a little quibble about this one: The "semi-auto rifle" here was actually a Rossi .357 magnum lever action carbine. It was the gun that was connected to the murders of two of the bikers and the accidental death of the 14 year old girl.

Just a little quibble about this one: The accidental death of the 14 year old implies it was unexpected. Yeah, shooting guns in public, at a public event, and saying it’s an “accident” an innocent bystander is shot and killed? Yeah, nah. Totally foreseeable and avoidable.

No, Ross would rather play the victim, instead of taking responsibility like what a real man would. He planned the "horns of the bull" ambush and had his men armed at the Viking Tavern, so the violence was planned, despite what Ross later claimed at his trial.

You got this wrong. The banditos didn't know the plan. They were without fire arms and offered the commos out for a fist fight when they got surrounded but sparra shot snake Campbell then it was all on. Snoddy had come straight from a pig shooting trip so had 2 guns under the camping gear in his ute, these were the only guns they originally had then took some dropped by commos during the fight
Can’t forget the day this happened. Around a year earlier a house that was a clubhouse I drove down that street turning right just before it, police tape still around it after it had rounds fired into it. Related to what happened the next year in 84’.

i always wondered why if Jock Ross was ex military why the hell did he not have a sniper hiding in the trees in the car park so if anything went down they could pick off the guys with the guns thats a no brainer for a military bloke if he new stuff was going down ,,you cover your men at all times gee you don't even need to be military to know that .
@@scotthill1600 He served in the British Army in the Royal Engineers,,As an engineer, he was involved in clearing minefields left over from the Second World War in Libya as well as laying minefields in the Aden Protectorate ..

I met Jock Ross 20yrs+ ago, he would have been about 60yrs old then, he was built like a brick $#!+ house. Ya wouldnt want to be on his bad side i swear. I wàs just a 17yr old kid. N he was very intimidating, also a nice guy and great father from what i saw.

Not exactly what happened. The only firearms the Bandidos had apparently were a couple of shotguns and a .357 lever gun. One of them, Snoddy I think had been pig hunting the days prior and arrived back to one of the club members children's birthday parties. They were all going back to the birthday party and none of them knew the Commos were going to be there. That is the story from Caesar Campbells viewpoint. A lot of the members that split to form the Banditos were early members of the Comancheros as well.
My great uncle/godfather Lennard jeffress aka Lenny was a member of the comancheros but sadly i dont remember much of him due to i was only 2 years old when he sadly passed away in 1990 in a accident on the Tuggerah bridge (Central Coast) and they are all buried at Palmdale Lawn Cemetery & Memorial Park the one who have passed on as they have a memorial session just for them and in 2006 when i become a mum at 17years my son is named after him Harley Lennard

It was a swap meet for bike enthusiasts, the bikes just gate crashed it with their war.
The event they went to was a parts swap meet for motorcyclists. It wasn't a bikie event. People would sell and swap spare parts from the boot of their cars in the car park. So yeah, it was just an enthusiasts meet. Most of the bystanders were just there for that and not club affiliated.

Yeah, "Shorty" was older than just 14. She was in my younger Sisters class through most of her School years. So I know her age well, and she was 5yrs younger than me.
