It's ridiculous how many drug users are struggling in the comments because they're afraid the police will show up and check them. They try to explain that there’s no weed here. Weed is so present at Dragon that you can smell it from a distance, even if I just ride by the shop without stopping. Most people, like me, go there to have a good time, and I don’t need weed for that. I want to ride in a safe environment. The problem is that the police only care about how fast you’re going, and they only conduct alcohol and drug tests after someone has died. This is the great American freedom of weed and religion. It's ridiculous. At the border, anyone can come through with two bags of drugs in their hands and a gallon of water on their back. I haven't been here in at least 10 years; I occasionally come by, and the whole place is a ridiculous poser hangout where you can suffocate from the smell of weed. There’s constantly some Facebook meet-up where certain groups gather in masses, holding everyone up. Or there are the other example, self-proclaimed racers showing up in their sports cars because mommy and daddy put them behind the wheel, thinking they can drive. I have to pull over because they come straight at you in your lane; they haven't learned how to turn yet. By the way, I've deleted a lot of stupid comments; I'm not interested in the remarks of washed-up drug users.
I have been there four times and stayed of the resort three of those times. Met countless people of all types. Never saw any evidence of any drugs or riders being drunk or stoned. Not saying it doesn't ever happen, but everyone I've met there just wants to enjoy the road and that's it. Get enough people together and there will always be a couple of bad apples, but it's practically Mister Rogers' Neighborhood compared to the average neighborhood Harley bar.
