I love Lee's songs. Sometimes it seems like he's almost like the George Harrison of the group--but then I remember that some of SY's very best tracks are Lee's--Hey Joni, Eric's Trip, Mote, and this, just to name a few. I also love the harmonies. Why didn't these guys share vocals more often? That it itself would make the album special, but it also has some of the most emotionally powerful music of their long and storied career. I'm so sorry they broke up, still, but then again, they deserve to live their lives, and they also quit while they were ahead. It's like listening to Abbey Road, except that I was actually around and old enough to understand what was happening.
Their breakup was an important part of life - things at some point must change, even when they're perfect. BTW Lee has a lot of independent music, check out the Dust...

Genio lee ranaldo!!👏👏
Is it unusual to strongly prefer late-period Sonic Youth? They put out so much good stuff long after their praise had been sung.
Murray Street, Rather Ripped, and The Eternal are all masterpieces in my opinion.
Like what you like and don't worry about what the crowd thinks.
@@TheArchiveOfWonderSonic Nurse too, it just happens to have the worst cover and album title in their entire discography
I love this song.
Gran banda
Uno de los temas mas brillantes de esta magnifica banda
Sounds like an arty REM
Love this song and used to wonder why it isn't called "Clear" but it doesn't really matter, right?
Top song.

Marmelendez a little sour bitter, Sonic Youth can feed you some H20
@poqwerty7 of course
Does it sound like Thurston might be saying goodbye to Kim in this song?
+Dean Mellis This is Lee singing, if you want to talk about a Thurston/Kim song on this album though how about "No Way"
