As an owner of a G1 Jetfire from Takatoku (pre-Bandai release) I approve. This design is absolutely gorgeous and solid and it holds up well even today, despite the design being 40 years old. But any modernization/optimization is of course welcome, although the original is in my eyes damn near perfect 😉.
JUST GOT MINE TODAY! It's so good! Never had a chance to get the original G1 Jetfire figure, but this is a great substitute for its price! Shoulders are a bit tight (soapy water fixed that) and the tail section was kind of scary to transform since I heard that's prone to breaking if you don't do it right (though since I put the fast pack on it and won't be taking it off, that's a non issue). The front half of the jet made a scary CRACK sound when I first transformed it into robot mode, but that was probably pressure or something because nothing was broken and it seems to not make that noise anymore.
Macross is amazing. I highly recommend it. Start at the beginning, it's one gigantic timeline from the first Macross in the early 80s through the most recent, Macross Delta.
Looks like there is still a bit of "fit and finish" issues with gaps and dodgy paint. Their copy is also broken on the back pack and missing a part. It is very clear. Still, I have pre-ordered. Pretty much the only way to get a modern G1 Jetfire... or any kind of G1 Jetfire... for a decent price. The KitzConcept is way too small and is built for trash.
I've only seen a few episodes of Robotech and the last thing I remember, the main ship took its robot form in order to fire its main gun after the fold jump device "disappeared in then air" after ONE jump, and the ship took most of the island in the show to the orbit of Pluto.
😍😍😍😍The quality of the images, the music and the Valkyrie in this video are....... exceptional!!!!! This video should be prohibited for less than 25 years....❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥😊
Neat the only small changes i'd make are to remove the Skull Logo and change the Plane Number to the something a bit less generic than 100 but that is minor as some Jetfires shipped with more Macross writing on them than others did.
It has a lot of red on it so this would be Miria's Valkyrie, I have the blue one, Max's fighter. Hasbro caused quite the legal conundrum back in '85 when they just took the design of the VF-1 as a new Autobot character while Robotech was airing on TV in the same market area, they then had to alter Skyfire's design about 40% and rename him because the lawsuits were coming fast at Hasbro. Oddly, Matchbox, the only toy company in America that could legally produce Robotech toys, were told their "Veritech" toys could not transform! This copyright issue is also the reason we don't see Jetfire in many episodes of the G1 cartoon despite being the newest member of the Autobot team, he was quietly dropped from the saga and never mentioned again until decades later.
Please note (1) This is NOT Miria's Valkyrie, which is a VF-1J (the head with 2 cannons, not 4 like the VF-1S), and red with white accents, just as the Max version is blue with white accents. (2) This is based on the VF-1S that Bandai licensed Hasbro to sell in the U.S. as "Jetfire", which debuted in TV ads and toy sales 2 months before Robotech did in 1985. (3) Hasbro did not cause the "legal conundrum", the toy and media companies of Japan did. Takara was selling toys owned by their main competitor (Bandai/Takatoku), and was not allowed to promote them via TV animation. There would be similar issues selling similar non-Takara toys like the Deluxe Autobots/Insecticons. When the Robotech series was released, Tastsunoko Production & Big West also fought over licensing rights to sell. After all, the TV series was a "mash-up". Hasbro had to take preventative measures with "Skyfire", also to avoid confusion the audiences. (4) Because Hasbro licensed it first, it was still the only U.S. company allowed to sell the beloved transforming Takatoku mold VF-1 Valkyrie. (5) We did see Skyfire in a number of Season 2 episodes. He was no more "quietly dropped" as other Season 2 characters that would be supplanted by the 1986 movie and Season 3.
This is *not* the KitzConcept God Of Flame. It is another figure, also called God Of Flame, just to be confusing. This one looks great, the KitzConcept one is not great.

Thanks for this! I pre-ordered based on the announcement of this video.
Glad I pre-ordered this. Looking forward to displaying it! So many options and variations!
The landing gear at 0:39 should be spring loaded and snap out so hard it stings your finger.

This Valkyria is spectacular 👌🏻 it has very good details and beautiful colors, excellent review broh greetings 🙂👏🏻🇦🇷
I'm not very familiar with Macross, but they have some really cool mech designs😁

The nostalgia still have my G-1 and literally looking at it this very second, this is the best remake I’ve seen yet (other than some robo-techs)

back and sweet .. thanks for posting this ...
Just a fewm Autobot symbols and Jetfire has arrived! Far better than the overpriced and awful Kitsconcept version too!
I wish it were 1:48 DX Chogokin scale, but this is still great.

Still the 2nd BEST G1 Autobots Toy Period other than Optimus, even though it's NOT Actually Transformers Toy but still.
Starscream get inpsiration from macross.
@@vigordiasmountana8641 Starscream and the Seekers are based on Diaclone while Jetfire based on Macross Valkyrie

I wish some company will KO the Bandai 1/48 scale VF-1s with Fast Pack Armor so that we can get a bigger Jetfire, 1/48 will be bigger then G1 Jetfire.
EXACTLY
That's the wrong name on that VF-1J. If that's the one from Do You Remember Love?, then that's Hikaru Ichijyo's (aka Rick Hunter) plane.
Jetfire 🔥 came from such inspiration.
Amazing ! I love it
All that beautiful clicking and ratcheting.

The yet fire design for the first transformer toy of him was actually taken from the macros toylaine and then re-named yetfire😅😮😊

This is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Question: Do they have a Roy fokker paint job?
Very cool. I need this.
Looks amazing! I just preordered one!

Miria's color scheme is almost the exact opposite of this.
Was considering this..now, might have to..
Imagine if our Airforce had something that badass! 😳
今回は本当にマクロス
No, this time it's really TRANSFORMERS.
Robotech
This looks really good. However, I'm hoping they will release the Roy Fokker version.
If this is made by Valkyrie Factory (some say so), then they have already.
Is that ko version of Arcadia vf 1?
❤
How is the quality on this figure? Sounds like it has good ratchet joints. I hope show z is actually getting these. Thanks
Super fly
Very cool video mangmotion
Blown away
i hope befor i die some one comes out with the invid again ?
Cool
Nice JETFIRE...😝
美しい・・・・美しいバルキリーだ。。。。
Very cool Macross/Robotech figure 👌 😎
Is this KO ? What is this , KitsConcept KO without the LED , it’s $150 at ShowZ .

My dream ride... sigh😕 😞.
I had the Skull leader robotech from a garage sale added a Autobot symbol to it and played with my transformers
For a second I thought this a KO or 3rd Party since ShowZ has it. You can't help but think. Watch them KO this in no time. Its a disease 😂😂😂
It is.
Any update on the release date for this figure?
Now, it seems.

Loads better then that piece of cr@p from kitzconcept
That's the thing, the KitzConcept one *looks* ok (apart from it being too small). Everything else lets it down.
the question is.... how do we turn him into an Autobot...? 🤔
Stick a fat Autobot Logo on the Nosecone
Is this a knockoff of the Arcadia Macross VF-1?
Yep

lol u.s. spacy how much $ ????
The standard version with fewer pieces is $125
£149 for the version with more pieces as shown in this video.
I still think the DX chogokin Macross are better. This one's not much cheaper than them.
The DX one would not come with super parts or missiles. Those two extra kits more than double the price of the core bot.
Sounds like it's going to break every time you handle it
