Chuck E. Cheese's Huntington Beach, CA Store Tour

- This is a store tour of the very historic Huntington Beach, CA location. This store is located on 15511 Edwards Street and is very notable for many things. Currently, this is the oldest operating location in the company, opening up on 10/6/1979, also being the only location still open from the 70's. They were the first location to open up in Southern California and 5th overall in the company.
When they first opened up as a Pizza Time Theatre, they had a portrait show with cyberamic figures. In the cabaret lounge, they had the very rare cabaret Helen Henny, the first location to feature her. Later on they converted to a C-Stage, skipping the Balcony Stage all-together, and after that they received a 2-Stage, which they still have although the bots are in somewhat of disrepair. The bots that are on stage are the same ones featured on the Portrait Show nearly 42 years ago. Safe to say these are the oldest cyberamics still in store, possibly the oldest surviving ones in the world.
In terms of store design, they have phase 4, but kept a few phase 3 items per usual for most locations. They have a unique layout with a very distinct early-PTT feel. I chose some PTT songs from the 70's for the background music to go along with the video, including a song performed by the cabaret Helen. Overall this is a really cool store with a interesting history and it's definitely worth visiting if you're in the Orange County area.

Fun fact: this was the 5th Chuck e Cheese and is the last existing Chuck E Cheese that was made in the 70s!
For a correction the 1st location was in San Jose ca opened may 17 1977. And was the first ever Cec location to open.
@@CoolioTheSecond what
i think some of the repliers are confused: yes, there is a san jose location right now, and the first location was in san jose but those are two different locations. the location existing right now is NOT the first location
That closed in 1985@@CoolioTheSecond
Pretty nice store! It’s Pretty Cool How They Had The Helen Henny Cabaret
What do you mean? I didn’t see that anywhere! 🤨
@DarkLovesPizza yes, but the pictures of the old place didn’t show any of it.

@@bvnbun The first location opened in 1977.
Awesome video
What CEC should do instead of closing this location is they should get 2.0 and keep the 2-stage since this is a special store for being the oldest of the franchise.
Quick Update; I talked to the employees at this location and I was told this location will likely relocate between December 25th - December 31st. The animatronics will not be transferred to the new location and will most likely be destroyed. This goes the same for the posters, walkarounds, and older outdated games. The new location is confirmed to be 15031 Goldwest Huntington Beach. Ca near Wells Fargo. The new location will open with the 2.0 dance floor and wall decor will newer style games.
I'm curious, anyone know if the winking Chuck on top still works for the stage?
Yes it does
Why the heck is there two family wall art posters?

That's the point. This is the oldest operating CEC / Former PTT still in existence, so it's fitting that there's music from the era, even if it hasn't looked the part in decades.

Go back in time and record every 1995 show at every location ever to exist. If no current location is open yet at the time, make changes to the space-time continuum.

Has this gotten 2.0 yet?!
I don’t live anywhere near California so I don’t plan on going.
No
Nope, went about 2 weeks ago I think and it had nothing 2.0 YET
Nope. This is the one I went to most often as a kid as I lived locally and it seems to still be holding up. The only other location I went locally was La Mirada which at the time still had its older stage. I don't think I ever went to the Costa Mesa location, but I knew where it was and passed by it multiple times. It was newer back in the 90's since that entire shopping area was newer at the time. I'm just surprised this one is hanging on and hope it stays. Although I still miss the original play place and ball pit. Even though it usually smelled. XD
