Wow thank! A lot! Your video was EXACTLY what I was looking for - now I don't need to shell out $400+ for a DAW controller surface with motorized faders, as these endless knobs are totally fine for me, as long as the LED's are working in Cubase... and you made it work - and made this very nice guide! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for this video. I have been thinking about buying a smaller device for quick control on Cubase. A device that fist on my desk. And I was worried about the integration with Cubase, especially these visible led values. Now I just ordered the Xtouch Mini..... Update. Now when I got the X-Touch Mini and followed your tutorial I'm so happy, since I would have never figured this out otherwise.
No, I’ve got other devices which can act in MC mode. I bought the Behringer as a quick control device but couldn’t find info on how to use it 😞 Hope you’re having fun with it! Steve
Hi Steve, thanks for this. I just got the xtouch mini and I'm not sure what I'm not doing right but nothing seems to work. I got the quick controls to work as you did in your video but I can't find any information anywhere as to how to set it up with cubase to be able to control the trasnport, levels, read/write etc. Hope you can help. Thanks!
Hi, this is a neat little trick. I was wondering if it's possible to assign custom key commands in Cubase to VST functions, for example assigning a certain key on the computer keyboard to switch a guitar effect on and off etc? If so, how? Thanks.
Guess this might be possible but you’re into the realms of mackie control. If there is a specification for this online I should think you could map the midi command to it
Do you happen to know how many channels you can bank? Can you bank over like say 1-8 to 9-16 to 16-24 to 24 to 32 to adjust the volumes on the mixerchannels if you have a lot of tracks? Bless
Hi Steve, I notice it takes you three or four spins of the knobs to turn the value of a Cubase control from zero to full. Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the knobs?
Hi, I use it all the time but not for transport. You can put in into MC mode I believe and the buttons map. I have the x-touch one for transport and fader. I use the buttons on this unit for quick controls and also have shortcuts assigned to the buttons. These include adjustive quantise, delay compensation and midi functions such as make all velocity level etc. Brilliant cheap bit of kit

You're very welcome!
This really makes this an affordable alternative to motorized fader controllers.
Great video! 👌🏻

Glad I could help!
very helpful video, thank you very much Steve!
Thank you so much for the tip. It helped me so much!
Brilliant, thanks. You saved me hours.
very helpful video, thank you very much!
Don't apologize this is about the only source we have to learn about this thing working with Cubase! Lol
SiREN-DRUMS thanks. I couldn’t find any info on this so just wanted to share - partly in case I forgot. Glad it helped.
you helped me a lot thank you!
Glad to hear that!
great solution! looking to getting one now.
Awesome, thanks so much Steve! :-)
Jeez, I'd never have found all that! Mine arrived this afternoon so you've saved mea lot of head scratching. But you're not using it in MC mode?

is there a way to update de the firmware to improve the controler behaviour with cubase. Very helpful video and also a very handy controler too

hello, how about the cubase's faders?? thanks for the vid anyway

Hi Steve, Thank you very much for the video, just one question, where can I get the X-touch editor software?
Hi, this can be downloaded from the Behringer website. Cheers!
Thankyooooo :)

Hi, Not seen a way to do this so far - unless I'm missing something. Be interested if anyone else knows.
Have Behringer updated their drivers so all of this workaround isn't necessary anymore in Cubase?
Pat Le Cat - I’m not aware that they have. Would be nice and surely not a big issue for them to resolve?
Hi Steve, I notice it takes you three or four spins of the knobs to turn the value of a Cubase control from zero to full. Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the knobs?
Yeah I’d like to be able to adjust the ratio but I haven’t found anything on this unfortunately.
Isn't that what MSB and LSB does? I'll play with mine tomorrow!
Steve - Are you still using this? How is it for basic transport? Can you make it do a TRACK MONITOR instead of MUTE or SOLO if wanted?
Hi, I use it all the time but not for transport. You can put in into MC mode I believe and the buttons map. I have the x-touch one for transport and fader.
