Best advice is that the more you play one character and learn them like the back of your hand the fewer situations there will be where you feel you *have* to swap. I used to swap off Ana every time they had a diver focusing me because I was just under the impression she struggled against them. Then I decided to one trick her for a long time and I can pretty reliably take 1v1s if I have to, and then after I win or successfully brush them off, I’m still on my best hero for the remainder of the fight. You can reduce the swap need, but Ana against a tracer, sombra, Winston, and Moira comp is still brutal lol. I don’t think the swap need ever reaches zero, but you can get it pretty damn close with enough practice
