Great reaction/feedback…you’re 1000% right about this song and the band… knowing they had that kind of talent from the very beginning, it makes sense that people refer to Pink Floyd’s as an experience…✌️🎤🔥

There's a great version of this from the Pulse concert ;) .. It's amazing live. Also there's a part two to the song.
P.s Can i just say how happy and emotional these reactions made me. This song was played at my best friends funeral and for many other reasons Pink Floyd are very special to me and to see you groovin and really feeling the music got me. ( In a good way of course ) Hope you are keeping well darling. Much love from the UK. X

There were a couple generations of people who thought that Pink Floyd was just for stoner white kids. That’s what I love about these reactions, and You Tube in general, is seeing people experiencing this music for the first time and realizing it’s for them too. Awesome reaction, once you go down this rabbit hole, there’s no going back

The song that got me hooked, for sure. Ah, those college days in the early 80’s. We had it pretty good.

The sax gives me vibes of Lou Reed's Take a Walk on the Wild Side. WYWH is such a great album.

This song is an ode to their founder (Syd) Barrett and to show you how brilliant they are with lyrics with Rodger Waters writing them this song is as follows:
    (S)hine on
    (Y)ou crazy
    (D)iamond
They got his name in the title via an acronym!!!
So this song is about their founder.
That strange sound at the end of SOYCD is the beginning of the next song in the album you should definitely react to is "welcome to the machine"!!

Great reaction , the rabbit hole is deep with pink Floyd and nobody else will ever sound like Pink Floyd , the sound at the end is the machine sound from the intro to the next song on the album , Welcome To The Machine . industrie

As you probaly know by now that this is a homage to the guy who started the band , Syd Barrett, who unfortunately succumbed to LSD. Dave Gilmour was his friend and replacement. RIP Syd, you Piper, You Martyr 😢👏👏👏👍

So you were getting “hot and bothered” ? To get you over the top, listen to the whole album in one sitting. 40 odd minutes of total genius and emotion. It will get you there.

As with "Dark Side of the Moon" , this album "Wish You Were Here" tracks transition directly into each other, so although you've done the title track, it's best done in order

This album is amazing, both a tribute to ex founder/guitarist Syd Barrett and an indictment of the music industry. The next track after the brilliance you just heard is the searing takedown of the music industry, with Rick Wright on incredible keyboards, the headphone mix is beyond belief! Enjoy pretty lady, you move so nice. ✌ 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶🔥

Trying to pick out one "best song" from the Pink Floyd catalog is an impossible task, and fortunately we don't have to, but dis joint right here is my favorite. And this is only half the song lol. For live performance, I'll take Comfortably Numb at the 1994 Pulse concert. Not just the best David Gilmour guitar solo ever, but possibly the greatest live guitar solo by anybody. Check it out if you haven't already.

why is it that virtually EVERY REACTOR, chooses the worse timing EVER for that first pause? if they do that, i thumbs down, block and move on,,,,,or at the end they pause, and when they unpause again, the LAST 3 NOTES of the song play, they they are dumbfounded that its over,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
