Skateboarding the ultimate metaphor for life…skating is always scary but we do it anyway, having willingness to do scary/uncomfortable things is the only way to grow.
Keep up the good work Zach love the channel! 💪🏾

Man, I'm fighting fear a little now. I have been getting back into skating at 47, now 48. I took a good fall a few months back. Since then, I've been charging full steam ahead. For some reason, dropping in on transitions over four foot is really messing with me. I've done it multiple times, but now, every time I step up to do it, I feel like I'm going to crash. I haven't ever crashed! But now I feel like I am. It's hard to get past.

putting the board up in drop in position and looking at it freaking out is so real. thats 100% me when skating vert. I put my board up and start thinking about it so much I struggle to put my front foot on and go

It's real!! That mental/physical barrier can be so tough. I would sometimes pump the vert ramp to get to the top & then try to drop in. If I didn't do it simi right away I'd go to the bottom and pump up again haha

My buddy made a good point. If you can pump up to the drop point, then you’ve done 90% of the drop. The last 10% is just mental. So I always start by working my up to mimic the drop as close as possible before trying.

Going up 10 foot vert transition on an angle compared to straight up and down was a massive game changer. Made it feel as easy as a 5 footer.

Good timing. Getting back into it since quarantine. Wobbly legs suck.

I’m trying to learn rock to fakie on vert, but just freak out when I get into vert and bail.

Rock fakie might be one of the scariest tricks on vert, coming in backwards straight down. You got this!

No they are not scared, because good skater is 'in the moment' and in the moment there is no fear.
